SEPS STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT 2021-22

Miss Uma Kondepudi of class 11B has learned valuable insight into software development via Summer Internship at Department of Information Technology, Curtin University. It will aid her with further studies in the future in the field of health sciences and research at University.

Jashn - e - Azaadi India Quiz -2021 The students of Sunrise English Private School participated in the quiz organized by The Annual Sahodaya NCR East event conducted by Grads International School, Greater Noida, and Jashn-e-Azaadi India Quiz 2021 on 14th & 15th August 2021. As Indian players are also evolving in sports other than cricket and the world is acknowledging the potentials our sportsmen have, this year's Quiz aimed to celebrate and glorify India's achievements in sports and bring forward those instances which make all of us proud of being Indians. Jashn-e-Azaadi Inter-School Quiz competition is dedicated to the great freedom fighters that made this celebration possible. The participants are- Seniors Boys-Varun Santhosh & Madhav Prasad Seniors Girls- Sreenanda Sreenivasan & Zainab Seniors Girls-Juwairiyah Phiroz & Vaishnavi Rajesh



Akshita Santhosh Grade 5B , participated in folk dance competition conducted by \"YUVAKALA SAHITHY KALOLSAVAM\" 2021 and won third prize. This is the second consecutive competition year Akshita Santhosh is winning prize for folk dance in youth festival held by different organization.

Neha Elizabeth Savio of class 10B has been awarded with outstanding intern certificate by Child Right and you (CRY) NGO organization and is now currently volunteering with CRY.

Miss Maghassraya S of Kg 1 E has her name entered in Kalams book of records for Fastest Reciting and Expressing 61 American Sign Language Works in 34 Seconds. Congratulations to her . We are proud of your achievement

We are privileged to announce that Master Vedhamudhavan S of Grade 3D has recited Avvayar's Tamil Aathichudi (109 Single Line Quotations) fastest in 70 Seconds.This has been recorded in Kalams Book of Records. Congratulations!!!We are proud of your achievement.

Mahalekshmi Anand , a KG2 student has created a history on June 28, 2021 by entering INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS in the category Maximum inventor and their inventions recalled in a minute.The record for recalling maximum inventors and their inventions in a minute was set by Mahalekshmi Anand (born on December 3, 2015) of Kerala. She recalled the names of 42 inventors and their inventions by just looking at their photos on the screen, in a minute, at the age of 5 years as confirmed on June 28, 2021. Congratulations!!!

VIRTUAL INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION CONGLOMERATE-2021 FINAL RESULTS “All progress takes place outside the comfort zone.” Michael John Bobak Inter –School Competition – CONGLOMERATE 2021 was organized by GD Goenka Public School, India. It was a platform to gird a plethora of events and an exquisite experiential learning. The main objective of this competition was to enliven the heart and soul of young ignited minds and foster the exhibition of their inherent talents and diverse faculties.Congratulations to Miss Parineetha Ullas Raj from class 4G for securing second position in the story narration event – Fable Fiesta held on 12thJuly 2021.

'Climate Summit 2021' 'No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change'. The environment committee of the JSS Private School, Dubai had hosted Climate Summit -2021 on 19th of June, an initiative for students of grade 4 and 5 to come together to present ideas on how the future generation can bring about a change to one of the very serious problem affecting humanity - Climate change. About 38 schools from across the UAE have participated in the event, and gave a presentation about the problems faced and the appropriate innovative solutions to various environmental concerns. A maximum of 2 speakers from each school were given the chance to participate, and the team have to make a presentation about an environmental concern of a particular country. Parineetha Ullas of Grade 4 and Soumith Margana of Grade 5 had participated in the virtual event and presented on the topic; 'Increase In Extreme Weather Under Changing Events In China'. The event gave a great experience and an opportunity for the duo to learn more about the climate changes and the possible solutions. The summit provided a golden opportunity to promote prosperity, security and a brighter future for all.

Inter School STEM SYMPOSIUM Shining Star International School , Abu Dhabi organized an Inter School STEM Symposium for the students of KG – Grade 11.The event aims to inculcate and embed in young minds, a drive towards creative and critical thinking and problem solving, at an Early, malleable age and poise them to leap into professions yet to reveal themselves in STEM fields, much like the boom in Information technology that happened organically in the 1990's. The eventwill focus on insights into some of the cutting-edge technology and deep dive into STEM fields and hear about the experiences of the professionals engaged in those and other STEM related professions. Selected Students from primary section of Sunrise English Private School attended Online Competition organized by Shining Star International school on 27th june & 30 th june. Symposium aimed at improving the physical and mental well being of students and also helps to analyze a scientific occurrence with an investigation or to solve a problem with an invention.



Miss Kathy Ann Denny from class 8-B has been placed 2nd in the Tech X competition held on 20th may . This contest was beneficial in terms of enhancing students skills. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase abilities on the topic 'My Future Home of 2050'.Congratulations to Miss Kathy Ann Danny. The competition was organized by FIZ Robotics solutions, India



\"We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.\" - Ralph Hattersley-The students of class IX to XII of Sunrise English Private School participated in an Online Photography Competition organized by The Emirates Future International Academy from May 2nd to June 1st 2021.The Theme of the Competition – The light in me, is related to the present day scenario, where students could engage in skillful and creative activities. With an enthusiastic bunch of entries, the best photos were selected for the finals in the categories of the Juniors (Grade IX to X) and the Seniors (Grade XI-XII). Many entries were eye catching and innovative, photography ranging from capturing the skyline or sunset to monochromatic themes to Smartphone-centric snap fests; reflected the passion, interest and creativity of participants. The challenge to photographers is to be creative during these isolation times and come up with a remote photo shoot concept. The participants were felicitated with certificates. The contest was to inspire the photographers, regardless of age or skill level.





World environment Day \"One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken.\" — Leo Tolstoy World Environment Day 2021 is marked annually on June 5th to inspire people, to take measures and protect our planet. The theme of World Environment Day 2021 is 'Reimagine-Recreate- Restore.' The students of Sunrise English Private School have participated in the interschool quiz competition organized by Saint Joseph's Sschool-Abu Dhabi in zoom platform for Grade 4 -12 students on 5th June 2021. The competition was conducted in 4 categories. In each category thought- provoking topics were given to the students. The categories were as follows: *A JOURNEY THROUGH THE HABITATS. * PITCH IT TO ME * START-UP FOR CHANGE * EXTEMPORE The students had to prepare themselves for an adventure through the different habitats and to get through each obstacle that comes their way. The quiz was conducted in four rounds focusing on different habitats such as Polar Regions, Deserts, Ocean and Forests. Overall this live quiz was a wonderful opportunity to the participants to explore different habitats and the major problems faced by them due to global warming.

Students played an active role in utilizing this exceptional platform to showcase their innovation, creativity and teamwork.Our young inventor , Master Rudrakhash Bipin Singh of Grade7 secured first runner up position, in the Inter school environment Pitch It to Me competition, for creating a tool from the used material available at home and also that has the functionality. Our students explained the impact of Covid-19 and disposal of hazardous, infectious and radioactive medical waste that is threatening the creatures. The amount of plastic generated worldwide since the outbreak is estimated at 1.6 million tons/day. It is the time to take the initiative to reduce this medical waste in order to protect the lives as well as our environment. The young and dynamic team of four: 1. Dhana Abdul Fathah 2. Neha Elizabeth Savio 3. Khadeeja Reem 4. Rosepriya Franci George has secured, first runner up in the Inter school environment Start Up for Change competition. The vision of this team is to manage solid waste as a resource by promoting sustainable environmentally sound and cost effective practices through an integrated system of waste reduction.The magnificent efforts of the students were highly appreciated by the judges. The insightful presentations of all the students created awareness among people about how to protect the environment



Miss Rumaisa Junaid of Grade 1D secured 1st position trophy and e- certificate in 'Enliven Islam's (Quranic Story telling ) for 'Al-Lulu Wal Marjan' Interschool Arabic - Islamic Festival2021 on 2nd May 2021 By Gems New Millennium School, Al- Khail.

COUNTINGWELL RAMANUJAN MATH SCHOLARSHIP Students of Sunrise English Private School got a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Ramanujan Math Scholarship test organized by Countingwell. The online, app-based test was conducted on 9th May 2021 for students from grade 6 to 8. Around 400 students registered and took part in the competition. All the participants were honored and motivated with E- certificates.

21st Inter School Environmental Public Speaking Competition Emirates Environmental Group organized the 21st cycle of the annual Inter-School Environmental Public Speaking Competition on 21st & 22nd April 2021, to coincide with the global celebration of Earth Day. The two day program me registered over 431, including the accompanying teachers, who all came together from various government and private schools across all the Emirates, united with in their passion for Environmental advocacy to achieve development that is sustainable. The sub-senior students between the ages of 13 and 15 competed on the topics, \"Sustainable Living: A path for a Greener Future?\" and \"Environment & Education: Need for Change\". Our participants were SHIVANI ANOOP NAIR -10-F: BIYA ELDO -10-H: ZAINAB-9B: SANVI SANJAY -8D: CYRIL ABRAHAM CEBY: 8I The second day was for the senior category of students in the age bracket of 16-18 ., \"Integrating Environment & technology: A Solution to Sustainability?\" FROM SUNRISE ENGLISH PRIVATE SCHOOL, students were participated in both categories and we bagged the third prize in the SENIOR category.
