that water disposal go through a treatment process first at the Sewage Treatment Plant before being released into the surrounding waters. ❖ SDG16 The senate Members in Universiti Malaysia Perlis are as follows, 1. Vice Chancellor (Chairman); 2. Deputy Vice Chancellors; 3. Ex-Officio Members; 4. Professors; 5. Dean of Faculties & Institute; 6. Members Diko-Opt; and 7. Two Student Representative Council. UniMAP has collaborated with TERAJU and received funding to improve the living conditions of indigenous people, especially the B40 group in rural communities. 24 individuals from the B40 in Perlis, were selected to participate in the community-based research project, “Producing Mushroom Using Optimal Humidity System”. In Projek Pesona Tuba, 10 residents of Pulau Tuba, Langkawi, Kedah have participated in this community project based on knowledge transfer program, focusing on the development of eco- tourism to change the lives and economy of the islanders. ❖ SDG17 Global partnership for Sustainable Development is presented by the activities carried out such as World Clean Up Day 2010 to give visibility and provided advocacy to the general public, particularly communities along the Kuala Perlis coast, on the importance of environmental sustainability and their role in ensuring a clear, healthy living environment. A community-based research project is implemented in support of the Government's initiatives through the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (RMK-11) and the Third Rolling Plan (RP3). The project is fully funded by the TERAJU using Bumiputera Entrepreneur Development Fund (DPUB2020) in partnerships with Government agencies such as Perlis Agricultural Department, FAMA alongside with industry players such as Lesong Mart Sdn. Bhd. and Oblong Burger-Seleraku Trading Sdn. Bhd. to carry out high impact agricultural projects which aims to produce mushroom using optimal humidity system. 44 | P a g e
