3. Specific Objective 1.2Intervention LogicSpecific Objective 1.2 Increase competences for business innovationThe core principle of the Danube Transnational Programme is the result-orientation approach, the basis for it being the change your project willbring aboutQuestion: what kind of positive change the implementation of our projectwill bring about?Way forwardcoherence of the project intervention logic ( project main and specificobjectives, activities, outputs and results) with the programme interventionlogic (specific objectives, outputs and results) pre-condition for a project to be funded under DTP
3. Specific Objective 1.2 Programme Intervention Logic Project Intervention Logic Specific Objective 1.2 Project Main Objective Increase competences for business and social Contribution to Program-me Specific Objective innovation Project Specific Objectives Result Indicator Contribution to Project Main ObjectiveIntensity of cooperation of key actors in theProgramme Area in order to increase Project Resultcompetences for business and socialinnovation Contribution to Programme Result Indicator Output Indicators Project Outputs- No. of enterprises receiving non-financial Contribution to Progr. 3. Specific Objective 1.2Intervention Logic GlossaryTerm DefinitionMain objective Describes the strategic and long term change that the project seeks to achieve for the benefit of the target groups.Specific objective Describes the specific and immediate effects of the project and it can beResult realistically achieved within the implementation period.Output Constitutes the immediate advantage of carrying out the projectDeliverable activities, describing the benefit of using the project main outputs. It should indicate the change the project is aiming for. It tells us what has actually been produced for the money given to the project. It can be captured by a programme output indicator and directly contributes to the achievement of the project results. A side-product or service of the project that contributes to the development of a project’s main output.
3. Specific Objective 1.2 Programme Project Intervention Logic - ObjectivesSpecific Objective Project Main Objective 1.2 What is the intended strategic, long-term change? Definition of only one concise main objective Description of the contribution of the main objective to the Programme Specific Objective 1.2 Project Specific Objectives What are the immediate effects of the project? Definition of up to three concrete sub-objectives Description of the contribution of the specific objectives to the project main objective
3. Specific Objective 1.2Programme Project Intervention Logic – Result Result Project Result Indicator What is the benefit of using the project outputs? Description of one concise result only Description of the contribution of the project result to the Programme Result Indicator
3. Specific Objective 1.2Programme Project Intervention Logic - Outputs Output Project Outputs Indicators What has been produced out of the resources allocated? Maximum 5 programme output indicators … have to contribute to at least two programme output indicators (mandatory one + another one)
3. Specific Objective 1.2 Main envisaged results Result indicator• Improved policy learning and development of Intensity of practical solutions to better adapt HR to technological cooperation of key change and market requirements actors in the Programme Area in• Improved policies and practical solutions for order to increase entrepreneurial culture and learning competences for business and social• Improved environment, skills and competences to innovation advance social innovation and social services• Built up joint educational offers in specific fields of interest• Improved systems for institutional learning and building capacities of public administration to better cope with innovation processes

3. Specific Objective 1.2 Programme Output Indicators• Documented learning interaction (mandatory): process of acquiring institutional knowledge. Increased institutional knowledge capacity is a cross-cutting element of the DTP• e.g. capacity building measures, training of the target groups, transfer of knowledge via community-led platforms, …It is expected that each project develops, implements and documents three joint learning interactions• Strategy: a strategy should have as starting point a definition of joint problems/ challenges.• e.g. strategies for improved policy learning at transnational level, improved skills and competences, social innovation• An action plan breaks down the strategy goals and objectives into specific actions Project management and communication-related strategies such as e.g. the project communication strategy shall not be considered under this output indicator
3. Specific Objective 1.2 Programme Output Indicators• Tool: means for achieving a specific taskshould be jointly developed at transnational level and be innov-ative. Tools can betangible (physical or technical objects) and intangible (methods, concepts orservices).- ex: data bases, innovative platforms, management concepts• Pilot action: practical implementation of newly developed solutionshas an experimental nature which aims at testing, evaluating and/ordemonstrating the feasibility and effectiveness of a scheme.- ex: pilot implementation of innovative learning systems, pilot implementation ofnew competences and skills, pilot application/testing of innovative technologies,

3. Specific Objective 1.2Further dimensions of successful project development• Idea first, financing instrument after• Always keep an eye on the result-oriented approach and focus on the change• Base your work on a solid understanding of DTP core-documents• Link your project to clear needs \ challenges of the Danube Region and to strategies such as EUSDR and EU2020• build a consistent project intervention logic matching the programme’s intervention logic• Choose “the” right partnership for achieving your objectives and transnational impact• Have a look around: capitalize previous work, build synergies with ongoing initiatives, avoid overlaps with other SOs or further funding instruments
