Welcome to the Annual 1 Review of our activities for the financial year April 2017 to March 2018. We had another wonderful year here at Ferne where we managed to do so much to benefit the three-hundred plus animals we have in our care. Highlights from this financial year include the building of the new outdoor space for our resident ferrets. The construction of the new ferret house was made possible thanks to a grant from a charitable trust and this lovely new enclosure has given the ferrets a fantastic new home with lots of outdoor space for exploration and play. After the ferret house was completed plans were drawn up to provide the new chinchilla, duck and goose housing you see completed on the Sanctuary today. I hope that you enjoy catching up on everything that happened here at Ferne during the period of this review. If you have any questions, or want to know more about our work, then please do not hesitate to get in touch! Elaine Hayes CEO

The four-year-old stallions had been confined to stables for three years and were severely malnourished, suffering from developmental problems, liver damage, UV intolerance, lice & dental problems. 5 horses 19 other With your amazing support, and the hard work of our animals animal care team, we were able to provide intensive treatment and rehabilitation to bring these two lovely horses back to good health. The great news is that in 2018 Toffee and Minty found loving new homes. 3 Thank you
