Hoinser Group April 2021 Hoinser News Meet Stacy Wellington Gill I was born in the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, New York City. My parents are Victor Wellington and Olga Wellington immigrants from Barbados, West Indies. I was raised and brought up in a Christian home. I attended PS 135 Elementary, Winthrop Junior High School and John Jay High School in New York City. My goal was to pursue nursing as well as to become a teacher. I started to pursue my dream by taking college classes at Kingsborough College, New York City. My dream was stalled temporarily when I had an opportunity to move to Florida. I relocated to Florida and started working in the nursing field for 18 years. I genuinely love caring for the elderly and eventually I completed and earned a Florida Administrator Licensed and work as an Administrator at two Assisted Living facilities. It was a blessing to bring encouragement and joy to the residence at those facilities. My work ended when I took a leave to care for one of my children. My mother Olga Wellington was a social worker at the time, and I became very intrigued of helping children in the foster care system. In fact, I began to volunteer at the Family Visitation Center in Marion County Ocala, Florida. Eventually, my love for children progressed and I began working at Just Kids Academy in Ocala Florida. The work gave me the opportunity to inspire, teach, build and give the children a greater aspiration in life. Therefore, within a year I planned and funded a toy drive for the children who were staying in the hospital during the Christmas holiday. Then I got permission from the Hospital Coordinator to give out presents to children that needed extra love at that time of care. I was extremely happy to be a great joy and cheer to the children’s hospital wing. Afterward I returned to college and graduated with an associate and bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education from Liberty University. I taught General Education as well as to special needs from Early Childhood up until High School in the Marion and Lake County district of Florida. I attended Kingdom Hope Ministries Inc. where I began to volunteer in the publications office by creating and designing different projects for the church. I created logos, flyers, brochures, newsletters, calendars, bookmarks, various programs, conference packages, wedding packets, photography, funeral and memorial programs. Stacy Gill and her volunteers help assist by packing several barrels and shipped them to the Bahamas to accommodate their physical needs. Stacy Gill loves exploring and travelling to different countries with her family. They have travelled to Cuba, Barbados, St. Kitts, Bahamas, Mexico, Honduras, St. Thomas, St. Maarten. Puerto Rico. St. Lucia, Key West, and many states throughout the United States. Stacy Gill plans to travel to Paris, Japan and Hawaii as well as building memorable moments with her family and friends.
