As a graduate from Lehman High School in 1989, Jorge had a passion for people and the community. Jorge served as a member of the local Bronx Community Board One and for five years he was the Chairman of the Municipality Committee dealing with issues, concerns and focuses around the MTA, NYC Parks, NYPD and several other agencies all having an effect on the quality of life in the community. As a member of the Lincoln Hospital Advisor Board, he served as the Liaison between Lincoln Hospital and the Community Board. Leon is known for his volunteer work and commitment to bettering the neighborhood in which he lives in. Through the Eagles Lions Club where he serves as the President and as a Member of the NYPD 40th Precinct Community Council, he dedicates time in giving back to better build relationships.
