It was an incredible honor and pride for me to be present at the celebration of International Women's Day, 8th of March, 2023 in the hotel St. Gotthard, Zurich. The best-known hotel entrepreneur in Switzerland, the legendary Ljuba ManzLurje and her spouse, Dr. Marco Conte celebrated and honored women from all over the world. During the celebrating, I invited all the participants of the Event to paint a joint painting under my guidance. The painting was painted by 135 people. This action “ART & Positive Emotions” became a sensation of the evening. Each participant chose the color of paint of their choice, applying it to the canvas. The canvas was filled with joy and sunlight. There were no spectators at the festival, everyone was a participant in the performance. To a storm of applause at the end of the evening, the Grand Dame Ljuba Manz-Lurje and her spouse Dr. Marco Conte were presented with two paintings, painted from the bottom of their hearts by the event guests. Brenda currently is working with women and children of domestic violence for over 25 years and has recently received her 501(c3) non-profit status and is the CEO and founder of Sugar'babee 24 hr Safe Place Services, an organization that assists children and their families who have suffered trauma from losing a family member to murder from violence. The organization hosts musical events to raise funds for families in need. The Sugar'Babee nonprofit operates a 24 hours a day crisis hotline and assists over 220 families seeking shelter or fleeing dangerous relationships per calendar year.
