Many universities have a formal process through the administration or through student leadership organizations (student government) to apply and become officially recognized as a student group. This process may not exist at your specific institution. Reach out to your faculty/university mentor if you are unsure if this process exists. Formal recognition may come with university funding. Let the global One Health community know you exist! Recruit members: You can use poster s, social media, and/or your univer sity’s resources to get the word out about your new group. It is important to try and engage students from multiple disciplines at your university as One Health spans across many fields of interest. Hold an event/activity: Some ideas for events/activities fr om cur r ent One Health student gr oups: Invite a guest lecturer to speak about an important topic in One Health Have students present on their work in One Health Hold an awareness day about a One Health topic important to your group/country/the globe such as Antimicrobial Resistance or Rabies Create an Outbreak DIY exhibit at your school, local coffee shop, or community center.
