An array of district projects have been initiated to conserve the pulse of Rotaractors. Breaking the ice, Zone - 2 have initiated the first ever Zonal Rotaract Conference in the district. It has been unanimously entered into the list of successful initiatives with an immense appreciation from everyone. The MAD drive was not halted here, adding pride to the catalogue of achievements District have announced an All India Road Trip of 10,000 kilometres by covering 22 major cities in 40 days. O2Home Travels India Along with Rotaractors “Invention is the mother of necessity” rightly said, with the advent of Covid19 pandemic the world saw a paradigm shift in the healthcare and medical industry, so did India. One of such needs led to the innovation of O2Home by AMTZ. Ltd. With the rise in fatalities due to the sudden surge in demand for Medical Oxygen in the Pandemic especially during the second wave. To address this issue AMTZ took the initiative and came forward with a plan to meet the need. The plan involved mass production of Oxygen Concentratorrs in record time and delivering it to the end user at doorstep in a very Fast, Affordable and Accessible manner. It is an outcome to make Oxygen concentrators available to all hypoxic patients across the nation on a rental basis. The aim of the project is to provide affordable healthcare service to all at affordable cost. Oxygen is now available at the fingertip with ●the following features: Flexible Plan ● Affordable cost ● Zero Deposit ● Free Delivery by Uber 2

The O2Home Project partnered with statutory government bodies such as NIPERs, AICs and other prominent private enterprises such as Uber Inc. to offer a seamless delivery experience from inception to termination. The project received attention and awareness with the help of the well-known Humanitarian Activity Partner, District Rotaract Organisation 3020. In partnership with RI District 3020, AMTZ flagged off the spirited Rotaract bikers who toured the length and breadth of the country promoting the importance of safety measures against Covid-19, starting from the AMTZ campus. The team travelled and met with all warehouse partners to promote our project. This too was appreciated by all stakeholders. We thank all the Rotarians who supported us in this. We urge you to download the App and help the one in need travel an Oxygen Concentrator without any deposit or delivery charges just at a very nominal price of Rs. 180+GST per day. 3

ALL INDIA ROAD TRIP BY ROTARACTORS Awareness is a key component to usher change in society. Stimulating a structure to the above statement, District Rotaract Organisation 3020 initiated an All India Road Trip. The main motive of this thoughtful trip is to interact with fellow Rotaractors across the nation and spread awareness on the below themes. 4

Rotaract Against Discrimination And Rape (RADAR) Women are the warriors of the modern world. Though they have made progress and working shoulder to shoulder with men, their freedom remains caged in the majority of cities. Rape and discrimination often go unnoticed, as they bow down their heads to the uncivilized society. Carrying forward the above thought, \"Rtr. Badhra - District Sports Director\" felt that it is a need of the hour to spread the awareness. He sent a project proposal to the district for making it happen. District Rotaract Organisation 3020 wholeheartedly accepted his proposal and initiated Project RADAR - \"Rotaract Against Discrimination And Rape\" The riders of RI District 3020 are going to spread awareness on the above issue in their upcoming All India Rotaract Trip 2021. 5

DONATE BLOOD – SAVE LIFE Donating blood is the deepest yearning of the human soul. Blood donation is one of the most pressing issues in recent times. But there are so many myths surrounding it post covid. Break your fear that is built in your mindset and become a life-saving health hero. The red life sources run through our veins, take pride to roll your sleeves and donate blood in regular intervals of time. END POLIO NOW Polio is on the brink of eradication. With a benevolent motto to serve the community with the gift of immunity, the riders of RI District 3020 spread awareness against the crippling disease throughout their trip. Our initiative to demolish the demon of polio was greatly appreciated by everyone. We take pride to present Rtr. Naga Harish - District Rotaract Secretary (ADMIN), Rtr. Srinivas Kanuri – District Seargent At Arms, Rtr. Badhra - District Director of Sports and Events & Rtr. Anand – Member of RAC Vijayawada Midtown have started from AMITZ Campus, Vishakapatnam. Prathyusha Varma took her baby steps into Rotaract back in the year 2018 as the Charter Joint Secretary of RAC Aditya Global Business School. Her never- ending enthusiasm towards Rotaract bestowed with an opportunity to serve as the International Service Director for the subsequent year. The journey so far was just a beginning, her efforts as an ISD to connect her club across the globe made awe-struck everyone. Sprinkling her magic wand, she was even perpetrated as the Moderator for International E- RYLA initiated by the district in the RI Year 2019-20. Her exceptional contribution to the Rotaract moment resulted in her receiving the Best International Services Director Award from RI District 3020. 9

The consistent support from the Rotaract fraternity propelled her to join a Community Based Club RAC Aikya Kakinada and took charge as the Charter Vice President. Republic Day Article 11

POLITICS AND PUPPETS A politician is someone who is involved in policymaking. Unfortunately, today in this country if someone says that they are doing politics. It means that they are doing something nasty. Politics in the literal sense developing policies for the betterment of the nation. The major reason that draws a great difference among people is their perspective towards the current political scenario. However, it requires a lot of effort to change them. Let's have a quick look at how this gamble works. Online food ordering firm zomato reported a loss of USD 294 million (about Rs 2,035 crore) in April 2019 and the loss was mostly on account of the food delivery business in India. Hey! Anyone who is reading this can guess why I’m providing these details here. Well, it wasn’t a problem even if you have no idea about it. I will explain it in a smooth and simple way. (Assume) there was a man who had completed his under graduation from NIT Warangal and done his masters from IIT Madras and cracked All India Rank 1 in UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) but chooses IPS over IAS. Later, he led investigations in many high profile cases with utmost responsibility. As everything was in a full swing, he quits his job and joins in politics to serve the people. But losses to a film producer. Interesting, wasn't it? The reason for this contradictory statement is that we demand more accountability from Swiggy / Zomato boys than from our government. In connection to the above provided example, few bureaucrats leave their high paying jobs to serve the people. On the other hand, some of the bureaucrats became puppets in the hands of politicians due to a wide variety of reasons. We need to stay ahead in time to develop as an individual and major reforms in all the administrative aspects to develop as a nation. Yours in Rotaract, Rtr. Praharsha Reddy District Editor RIY 2021-22 RID 3020 12

MAD FORUM 1.What are the effective ways to sustain the membership count at a club level? Host a “bring a friend” meeting. Encourage members to bring someone. This could even be a recurring event so that new members are continually bringing new friends! Reach out to former members. Some people might be ready to come back. Encourage members to share your newsletter. Especially if they’re featured in it! Invite members' families to events. Spouses, siblings, parents, and (grown-up) children are all potential members (depending on the type of membership you offer). Help members develop an “elevator speech” about their membership. Why are they, members? What’s the biggest benefit of membership? Can they explain the purpose of the club? Ask your members for recruitment ideas. They may have an idea you haven’t thought of before or know about opportunities within their social networks. Rtr Akhil Patnaik President Rotaract Club of Visakha Satellite City 2.What are your thoughts on removing the upper age limit of Rotaract membership? Initially, the cons that come to my mind is that if we do remove the upper limit how can we justify the lower age limit of the Rotary organization The pros, in an institution based club, if there is no upper limit we can extend an approach welcoming to our faculty explain exclusively Rotaract becomes the special place to all the faculty where they can reminisce their youth days and again an opportunity to meet the young youth leader in them. Rtr. Shabu President 13

3. If given a privilege, what is that one special avenue you want to suggest for the RI District 3020 and Why? Cultural Avenue. Wich showcases our tradition, culture and history. Rtr Yasasvi Sri Srujan President Rotaract Club of Vizag City 4. What is your perspective on the recent policy changes in Rotaract? Every organisation must update with time, now it's our time to flourish. Rtr. Prathyusha Varma President Rotaract Club of Aikya Kakinada 5.What is your viewpoint on Elevate Rotaract? Elevate Rotaract means making undertandnd what society needs by the members Rtr. Arun Sampath Kanigalla IPDRR Vijayawada mid-town 14
