Editor's Note A good thought is like a fragrance, that spreads everywhere and comforts everyone. It was a blockbuster beginning for the month with Sammelanam. A mega two day event comprises of district sports meet and district assembly. The event got more glitter, as the World Rotaract Chairman PDG. Rtn. Ravi Vadlamani graced the event as the chief guest. Holding up the chain, a team of enthusiastic Rotatactors participated in the Inter District Youth Exchange RAMZAT 2021. In addition, a team of young players visited Mysore representing the district at Friendship Cup 2021. Adhering to the yearly theme, major emphasis was given to skill development and service based projects. Through MADMAG, we are envisioned to represent the distinguished projects of different clubs in the district. Adding a cherry to the cake, we are committed to encourage Rotaractors and rendering a platform for exhibiting their skills. Although we strive to explore every nook and corner for providing the best output, a few errors may prevail which are human. We would love to review your suggestions for serving in a better way. Event Name: World’s Food Day Avenue: Community Service Date: 16th October 2021 Location: Vishakapatnam Description of the event: We the club of Rac Vizag Elite have collaborated with Rac Dexterous RID-3232 and distributed nearly 40 food packets to the needy people on the occasion of World food day. RAC GITAM Event name: CLASH OF MINDS 2.0 Avenue: Professional services Date: 12th October 2021 Description: The Rotaract club of GITAM aims to develop professionalism among its members. Our previous debate session, \"Clash Of Minds,\" was a huge success. So we organized another debate session named \"Clash Of Minds 2.0,\" on the topic \"Is social media beneficial to the individual or society?\".We took the help of our member Rtr. Aashish in organizing this event. We planned to give equal opportunities for all the participants to talk, so we allotted participants into breakout rooms. Each breakout room consists of 4-6 members, and an organizer monitors each room. We had our members Jahnavi, Aashish as our organizers. It was a friendly debate session, and we requested our participants not to use any harsh words during the session. We made sure that while one person was speaking, another did not interrupt the speaker. This event gave our members a chance to express their ideas and also helped them to build their confidence. It also created interest among other members who would like to participate in such debate sessions. We also have recognized star performers and gave shoutouts to them. Pictures of the event: 21
Event name: Project Tribal Support Avenue: Community service Date: 30 October 2021 Description: Even though we don't want our old clothes anymore, it's almost guaranteed that someone else will. There are many people in need of usable clothing. There are disaster victims, underprivileged people, and children in need of clothing, and our donations can help. When we throw away our clothes, they have no chance of reaching people who need them the most. Keeping this in mind, RACG collected old clothes from students and donated them to the tribals. On the 80th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Vishakapatnam, initiated the project \"Donate clothes to Araku Tribals.\" This project aimed to help 800 Tribal families with good clothes this winter. The Rotaract club of GITAM collaborated with the parent club and took the initiative to help poor tribals. We collected the old clothes from Oct 24th to Oct 28th. For this, we kept boxes in both boys' and girls' hostels, and the project lead collected donations from day scholars. We have submitted the contributions to the parent club on Oct 30th. All the donations collected from different clubs will be distributed to poor tribals by our parent club between Nov 1st to Nov 7th. Pictures of the event: 22
Event name: October Challenge Avenue: PR and Media Date: 31 October 2021 Description: For October, we at Rotaract club of GITAM came up with an idea for the \"October month challenge,\" which was held on our Instagram page. Through this challenge, our main motive was to engage with the members of Rotaract using our online platform. In this 31 day challenge, we gathered various questions and were prompted to ask the rotaractors. These challenges were framed in a way that would allow us to get to know more about our fellow club members. Apart from this, we also included a quiz section named \"weekend knowledge.\" This was introduced to encourage them to learn more about the Rotaract club of GITAM. We received several excellent responses throughout this challenge. This idea was definitely a success as it let us interact with our club members in a way we had never before. We, as a club, will continue to strive towards finding unique ways to interact with our members and communities so that they always have something to look forward to. Pictures of the event: 23

Event name: Halloween Party Avenue: Club Service Venue: Hotel Akshaya Description of the event: RAC LBCE hosted district’s first Halloween party this month. We asked the attendees to dress up to the theme and with food, music & fun games, everyone had a gala time. Over 50 members from and outside of Rotaract were in attendance and made the event a huge success. We also planned and executed an Instagram trend where rotaractors of RID 3020 were asked to strike a pose in a pair of sunglasse (as seen in the pictures below) and the reel now has 6K+ views on the Instagram handle @rac_lbce. Event name: Jazbaat Avenue: Creative Service Director Location: Online Description: RAC LBCE came up with a fun event called Jazbaat where a google form was posted in the Whatsapp group of RID 3020 and rotaractors were asked to fill it up with songs close to their heart. RACGVP Event name: Stop India Spitting Avenue: Community Services Event Date: 02-10-2021 Event Place: Railway Station Area Project Chair: Rtr Charan Teja Event Description: “The price of greatness is responsibilty.” On the Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan our parent club Rotary Club Waltair along with other Rotary Clubs initiated an event to spread the Awareness regarding Air Borne Diseases through split. Air Borne diseases can spread when people with certain infections cough, sneeze, or talk, spewing nasal and throat secretions into the air. Rotaractors of RACGVP have participated in this event with banners and placards to grab the attention of people and passengers as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event was continued with the Flashmob by the volunteers of different Rotary Clubs. The event was successful under the guidance of Rotarians. 27
Event name: Gandhiwaadi Siddhanth (Volume - 1) Avenue: Youth Service Date: 02-10-2021 Project chair: Rtr Chandini Description: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Taking the words and actions of Gandhiji, Centre for Fostering Social Responsibilty (CFSR) at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (Autonomous) had initiated i.e Gandhiwaadi Siddhanth, where RACGVP took the lead and launched the Year Long Project i.e Gandhiwaadi Siddhanth under Unnath Bharat Abhiyan which aims to educate Gandhiji’s thoughts and principles on an educational and community- level. Gandhiwaadi Siddhanth is implemented through Six Volumes, whereas each volume primarily consists of a quote of Mahatma Gandhi. One of the rotaractor narrates the saying of Mahatma Gandhi on how it is implemented in life so that people can learn, relate and adapt. This will provoke introspective thoughts and instill the zeal to lead a better way of living. RACGVP has released the Volume - 1 of Gandhiwaadi Siddhanth at Institutional Level. 28
Event Name: Awareness on Vector Borne Diseases Avenue: Community Services Date: 23-10-2021 - 27-10-2021 Location: Bakkanapalem, K3 Nagar, GVPCOE(W) Backside, Kommadi Down Project Chair: Rtr Charan Teja Description: “Prevention by severing the chain is the immediate solution.” To spread the awareness on Vector Borne Diseases, RACGVP had conducted a 5 - day event, where Rotaractors visited five areas and taught them about the basic idea of vector borne diseases. Rotaractors have educated the people regarding the preventive measures to eradicate vector diseases like Dengue and Malaria. Rotaractors have also explained the consequences of having stagnant water nearby. Rotaractors received warm welcome from everyone. Event Name: E0–Lakshya(Chapter – 1) Avenue: Youth Services Date: 22-10-2021 Place: Chandrampalem, GVPCOE(W) Backside Project Chair: Rtr Chandini Description: “You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits.” Taking forward the idea of Lakshya, RACGVP released the first Chapter of E- Lakshya, an ultimate sports guide consisting of rules and regulations of Volleyball. Rotaractors visited different schools and gave the copies of E-Lakshya Chapter 1 to their respective school administrators to nurture the children’s budding talent in sports and motivate them. Event Name: Global Hand Washing Day Avenue: Community Services Date: 16-10-2021 Location: Krupa Sadhana Orphanage Project Chair: Rtr Charan Teja Description: “Cleanliness is defined to be the emblem for the purity of mind.” To mark the importance of Global Handwashing Day observed on October 15th, Rotaractors of RACGVP visited Krupa Sadhana Orphanage at Vuda Colony to teach the importance of hand hygiene. The event was commenced with a note on why washing hands is important considering the worldwide pandemic in mind. Steps of washing hands were demonstrated and was put into practice. The children proved to be extremely smart and grasped everything quite well. The event was remarkable and the children made a point to wash hands regularly. Pictures of the event: 31

Event Name: RECYCLOTHON AVENUE: community services DATE: 17/10/2021 Description of the event: Increasing and plastic waste is making our earth get suffered, piles of plastic waste are getting accumulated everyday and to reduce this, a small initiative by Rotaract club Aditya Global Business School that is \"RECYCLOTHON\" Don't be a punk and recycle your junk Where things to do are simple... Just separate the plastic waste which we use in household and collect them after certain period of time when it gets piled up we will collect it and send to a recycling unit so that it will help reducing the plastic waste and get recycled. 39

Event Name: Heritage Cycle Ride Avenue: Club Services Date: 01/10/2021 Location: Kakinada Description of the event: In this event Rotaract Club of Aikya Kakinada have participated in cycle ride which started at Raja Tank(Vivekananda park), ends at collectorate’ along with Kakinada cycling club and Godavari cycling club. After this they have ended their event with fellowship with fellow rotaractors. 41

Event Name: Polio Rally Avenue: Club Services Date: 24/10/2021 Location: Kakinada Description of the event: Rotaract Club of Aikya Kakinada have associated with their parent club Rotary Club Kakinada and Godavari cycling club on occasion of World Polio Day to conduct a cycle rally for the awareness of Polio. After cycle rally they went to Aasraya foundation along with their parent club members. 42
Rotaract Club of Rajahmundry River City 1. Event Name: SAMMELANAM (ROTA SPORTS 2021) – DISTRICT SPORTS MEET Avenue: Club service, Youth service Date: 02-10-2021 Location: VTPS ground, Vijayawada Description of the event: Sammelanam is a two-day district event organized by RACRajahmundry River City and RAC- Vijayawada Midtown together. Rota sports-2021 is district sports meet held on day one of Sammelanam at VTPS grounds, Vijayawada for which rotaractors from every club throughout the district 3020 have taken part. The event started with flag off by the chief guest Rtn.Ravi vadlamani. A variety of games like cricket, volleyball, football penalty kicks, throw ball, chess, tennikoit, badminton singles and doubles were conducted for boys and girls. Every participant who registered for the event were accommodated with food and rooms for the two days of the event. On day two, district assembly was conducted in the morning and in the evening an award ceremony was conducted to award the winners and runners in all the games conducted. The award ceremony was followed by a DJ night where everyone had fun dancing and singing. The event came to an end by the vote of thanks given by IPDRR Sampath. Chief Guest: PDG Rtn. Event Name: SUPPORT FOR THALASSEMIA Avenue: Community services Date: 10-10-2021 Location: Rajahmundry Description of the event: To support Thalassemia patient Gowri shankar, RAC-RRC promised the family to donate 5,000/-INR every month for his medical and blood transfusion expenses with the strong will power of the president P.Devendra. Event Name: AA-KALI-YUG Avenue: Community services Date: 16-10-2021 Location: Rajahmundry Description of the event: RAC-RRC has started an event called AA- KALI-YUG: Feed the Need on the eve of World Food Day. They have assigned a budget 6000 Rupees (Contribution from the Rtr. vijay kumar) which will be used only for the food, whenever they found any needful people, immediately members will make them free from hunger (AAKALI). Event Name: PULSE POLIO AWARENESS WALK Avenue: Community Services Date: 24-10-2021 Location: Rajahmundry Description of the event: Every year World Polio Day is celebrated on 24th October initiated by Rotary International over a decade ago to commemorate the birth of Jonas Salk, who developed a vaccine against poliomyelitis. World Polio Day 2021 Theme: “One Day. One Focus: Ending Polio – delivering on our promise of a polio-free world!” On this special day, RAC-RRC has successfully organized Pulse Polio awareness walk hosted by Rotary club of Rajahmundry River City (Parent club) in collaboration with other schools and NGOs from Rajahmundry.Event has begun with the flag off by DGE Bhaskar Ram sir and all the Rotarians, rotaractors,students and other NGO members walked together as a rally to create awareness in the society about Polio vaccination and it's importance by shouting the slogans END POLIO NOW and MAKE THE WORLD POLIO FREE symbolizing the theme of World polio day 2021 with placards and flags. At the end of the event DGE Rtn. Bhaskar Ram sir, Rotary representatives, Rotaract representatives and many students spoke a few words about the importance of vaccination,creating awareness on Polio and educated others with some knowledge on Polio. 48
