Yasemin started a training regime designed by Rudi Castineyra. Under his guidance she set her first world record with a dive to 68 m (223 ft).[1] In 2000 the duo set their sights on variable ballast freediving, which comprises two categories. On 19 and 23 July Dalkılıç beat the existing world records in the limited and unlimited variable ballast categories by reaching 100 m (330 ft) and 120 m (390 ft) respectively. In 2001, she set two more world records. First improving her own mark in the limited variable ballast with a 105 m (344 ft) dive in Egypt and three months later, a second one in the unassisted constant ballast category, with a dive to 40 m (130 ft) in Kaş, Antalya Province, Turkey. Michael Fred Phelps II[5] (born June 30, 1985)[6] is an American former competitive swimmer and the most successful and most decorated Olympian of all time,[7] with a total of 28 medals.[8] Phelps also holds the all-time records for Olympic gold medals (23),[9] Olympic gold medals in individual events (13), and Olympic medals in individual events (16).[10] When he won eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games, Phelps broke fellow American swimmer Mark Spitz's 1972 record of seven first-place finishes at any single Olympic Games. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Phelps had already tied the record of eight medals of any color at a single Games by winning six gold and two bronze medals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Phelps won four gold and two silver medals, and at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he won five gold medals and one silver. This made him the most successful athlete of the Games for the fourth Olympics in a row.[11 Zeynep-Fatma Akgül-Söke Yavuz Selim Anatolian High School

What is Track and Field Sport? Athletics is the oldest sport in the world that is performed on a particular track or field through different branches. People who perform this sport are called athletes. As a general category, athletes show their abilities through the branches of running, walking, jumping and throwing. Athletes who show their strength and talent with all their performances compete with each other on this issue and push their limits. Thus, some records occur on certain dates over time. Athletes who show their skills and abilities through high performance in many different tournaments together with the Olympics, today do this under a wide range of branches. ezgi(çiğdem kurku / KAL)
What are the Branches and Branches? Track and field sports are carried out in 3 different main categories. These are running, walking and field (Throwing and Jumping). Running: Depending on the purpose, running is performed in different places. These are closed areas, stadiums, countryside and roads, and open air runways. Depending on the rules, races are considered in terms of different distances. - Short distance, - middle distance, - Long distance, Hurdles, - Flag run, Walking: Based on a certain basic rule, walking is among the most important athletics sports today. When the first foot is thrown forward from the moment of running, the back foot should not be lifted before that foot touches the ground. This is the most important factor that distinguishes walking athletics from running. To achieve this, it must be done without breaking the feet. Otherwise, the athlete will be disqualified by the referees. Walking over 10 km for females is a track and field sport, and for males it varies between 20 km and 50 km. Field races (Throwing-Jumping): Throwing and jumping races, which are spread over a wide range, are among the most important sports branches of the Olympics. - One step jump (Long jump) - triple jump, - High jump, - pole vaulting, Hammer throwing, - Shot put, - Javelin throw, - disc, Throwing and jumping athletics sports branch takes place continuously throughout the tournament period. Athletes have the chance to try an average of 3 times on the rights they earn within the framework of certain rules. In this context, the highest score they earn is reflected in the result. ezgi(çiğdem kurku /KAL)
What are the rules of athletics? Runs In timed runs It is important to arrive at the finish line within a predetermined time. Runs indefinitely daysa, the first person to reach the finish line wins the race. The duration of the runs should be determined with precise stopwatches. With the signal of the referee, the competition starts. Athletes' socks should be seamless and without cotton. It is mandatory to use spiked, special sports shoes. The way of starting runs between 100 meters and 800 meters should be with the competitors crouching with one foot back and the other leg behind the starting line. The contestant who exits before the start of the competition is recalled. If he repeats the same mistake twice, he will be disqualified from the game. Hurdles Runs The distance and height between obstacles must comply with international rules, taking into account the age and gender class of the competitors. It should be placed just behind the starting line. Those who quit before the referee started the game will be disqualified the second time they repeat the same thing, although they are recalled the first time. Throughout the competition, all competitions must pass through obstacles. Engaging in fraudulent behavior may result in disqualification from the game. Throwing and Jumping Sports There are different types of games such as Hammer throw, Shot put, Javelin throw and Disc throw which are types of throwing sports. The basis of these games is that the object to be thrown is thrown to the longest distance within the framework of certain rules. If it's jumping sports It is known as long jump, triple jump, pole vault and high jump. High jumping and pole vaulting in these sports branches are based on the principle of pole vaulting or poleless jumping over a rope. Competitions with others that take place as a result of jumping to the furthest distance after a fast run. ezgi(çiğdem kurku / KAL)
THE RULES AND INFORMATION OF HOW TO PLAY IT
Athletics Rules And Regulations Running Events From the firing of the starter’s gun to breasting the finishing tape, an athlete is expected to adhere strictly to some basic rules like he/she must always start behind the start line and must remain in lane throughout the race. Jumping the gun can lead to disqualification from the game. Running before the starter’s gun is fired is declared as a “false start” and can eventually lead to disqualification, if the runner faults twice. Sometimes, athletes are warned before being disqualified. If a runner tries to impede a fellow athlete’s progress by blocking, shoving or interfering to gain unfair advantage, he/she is disqualified from the game. A runner must always wear sneakers or athletic shoes during the game. In shorter events such as in 800 meters race, athletes should stay inside the lane. In longer events, they are allowed to move to the innermost lanes with a condition that they should not touch the other participants. aliayşe.koşan/Kızılcabölük Hanife ve Ahmet Paralı High School
Throwing Events In throwing events like javelin, hammer throw and short put, an athlete is expected to aim farther than anybody else. Just like the jumping events, only the longest throw counts here. Javelin is the only event that allows the participant to run. The participants dart through a runway of 30 meters before pitching their javelin. In shot put, discus and hammer throw, athletes are allowed to spin their object within a pre-defined circle to create momentum before lobbing. A six millimetres wide iron band trimmed in white encircles the area. Touching the top of the iron band or the ground outside while hurling can lead to disqualification. Also, there is a wooden stop board at the front to keep athletes from slewing out of the circle. Athletes can hit the board, but touching the top of the board may lead to disqualification. In all throwing events, the object lobbed must land within a specified area. aliayşe.koşan/Kızılcabölük Hanife ve Ahmet Paralı High School
Jumping Events In jumping events, the athletes run through a runway and as high as possible. However, the rules vary according to the events. Mots jumping events have a sand pit or a pad to enable the athlete land easily after the jump. The foot of the athlete should not touch the ground before the jump, or else it’s declared a ‘scratch’ and earns him zero points. The length of the jump is measured from the line to the point where foot touches the ground. If the athletes happen to fall back after landing, the distance measured is to the contact point. The athletes are given three ties or chances and the best try is counted. The same rules apply to vertical jump events like high jump and pole vault, except for the way the distance is measured here. A height goal marked by a bar is set by the athlete and if cleared, they score for the specific round. Some events allow three chances to the athletes, while some other events allow the athletes to keep trying on higher bars until they fail aliayşe.koşan/Kızılcabölük Hanife ve Ahmet Paralı High School
