BlueMind Retreat Beyond Mindfulness Hillary Easom Yoga Yoga for EveryBody La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico March 2-6, 2020 Starting at: $1385 “Water is medicine for those who need it most...” -Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, Author of Bluemind
An Invitation to Altruism The ocean invites you to #YogaForACause. In this unique yoga retreat, we take you beyond mindfulness. Inspired by the philosophy of the Bluemind Movement, our retreats are designed to support marine science research with an emphasis on coastal and ocean conservation. Your yoga practice is the focus of the retreat activities and we fill it in with bluemind citizen science activities. Bluemind is a fabulous book by Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, Sea Turtle Biologist and Philosopher about the surprising science that shows how being near, in, on, or under water can make you happier, healthier, more connected, and better at what you do. Honoring a new field of study, NeuroConservation, our specially designed #YogaWithAPurpose retreat concept allows you to indulge in your yoga practice while engaging your ancestral connection to our Mother Ocean. Your tuition is translated into conservation dollars that financially supports coastal communities and marine science. Daily bluemind activities inspire you to engage your inner self though mindful practice in nature as you help marine scientists monitor marine life that spans all the chakra colors, protect endangered sea turtles through promoting artisanal fishers; once poachers, now protectors of the ocean. With help from the Mechudo Spirit, we create personal marine animal spirit guidebooks and share passages with each other from the Bluemind book and how it relates with your inner self. Our invited Chef, Andrés Hernandez Acevedo from the pueblo Xochimilco, infuses traditional Mexican recipes with healthy, vegetarian-based Eastern healing ingredients. Dinner is a social and educational culinary experience as Chef Andres invites us to listen and share his “Avocado Diaries”. Of course there is lots of yoga and meditation incorporated into the adventurous yet regenerative itinerary. We are excited to welcome and host Hillary Easom, and practice and improve our yoga practice with you; chef, marine scientists, and naturalist guides will all be on the mats. We are family, yogis, and ocean lovers. We extend a compassionate heart chakra hug from the top of the coastal dunes and send our energy through the blue waters until we can hug in person in March. Thank you for this opportunity to coordinate and host your yoga retreat. We take care of the logistics and you just open your heart and help endangered sea turtles and all other marine and coastal life through your beautiful yoga practice. Namaste, Bluemind Retreat Team
