The intending woman or couple shall purchase general health insurance coverage in favour of the surrogate mother for a period of thirty-six months. An insurance coverage of such amount as may be prescribed for a period of twelve months in favour of the oocyte donor by the commissioning couple or woman. The intending couple or woman will purchase general health insurance coverage in favour of an oocyte donor for a period of 12 months for an amount which is sufficient enough to cover all expenses for all complications arising due to oocyte retrieval. All insurers are directed to comply with the provisions of the two Acts and ensure that suitable products are made available in the market. The con- cept of GIFI was born with the idea to create a platform to celebrate the profession of General Insurance. GIFI went on to create history and set a new Guinness World Record for the largest attendance for an insurance conference. The event saw a record turnout of more than 5000 attendees. During the festival the Company also announced the winners of inaugural ‘GIFI Awards,’ a unique award ceremony that recognizes the best general insurance advisors across the insur- ance industry. The one-day festival included various interactive activities like Learning Café (Knowledge sharing & motivational talks by renowned speakers), Product Café – (Launch of New BAGIC Products & Product Capabilities Journey), Lifestyle Zone – (Expo & demonstration of high-end cars, fitness, grooming, etc.) Various interesting products were also launched during GIFI, namely, HPR 2.0, Cyber-Care and Pet Insurance. GIFI also had live performances by renowned music composer Pritam, an entertainment segment by famous comedian Sunil Grover and many more experiential activities. The mega-event was orchestrated by key departments of the company, i.e Retail Sales team, Admin team, Corporate Communications team, Brand Communication team and Marketing team who worked persistently to make GIFI a stellar success. At the conference, discussions around key focus areas, new developments and road map ahead for PMFYBY implementation took place. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance was awarded the 1st rank in the overall performance of insurance companies for PMFBY in Category A. Shri. Manoj Ahuja (IAS), Secretary, MoA&FW, Govt of India, bestowed the award in the presence of Shri. Ritesh Chauhan (IAS), CEO, PMFBY, Govt of India, Dr Kamal Preet Singh (IAS), Agri- culture Production Commissioner &Secretary Agriculture, Govt. of Chhattis- garh and Shri. Thomas Devasia, Member - Non-Life IRDAI. Mr. Ashish Agrawal, Head Agri. Business & CSC and his team presented the Company at the conference and received the award. State Government level Fasal Bima Pathshala recognitions Bajaj Allianz General Insurance received a certificate of appreciation from Karnataka and Haryana state governments for the best implementa- tion of the PMFBY scheme in Year 22-23. Throughout Q1 FY’24, the Agri. Business team conducted over 200 Fasal Bima Pathshala in the state of Tamil Nadu to increase awareness about PMFBY claims and the grievance process. The team reached out and engaged over 20,000 farmers through these Pathshalas. Rajasthan Kisan Mahotsav The Agri. Business team participated in the Kisan Mahotsav organised by the Government of Rajasthan. The team took the opportunity to engage with farmers and spread awareness about the benefits of insurance. The team also distributed over 2,500 umbrellas to farmers of Rajasthan, some- thing which will come in handy during the monsoon season. Extended Warranty Team Update Issue 1 - 2023-2024 Fraud Awareness Training Session Across Regions Organisations face increasing threats from fraudulent activities in today’s rapidly evolv- ing digital landscape. Taking cognisance, the Extended Warranty claims team conducted fraud awareness training sessions for em- ployees and service providers in Q1 FY’24. Over 250 students participated in the event and were assessed based on their presentation to the judging panels. This portal will enable clients to manage their Non-Motor claims end-to-end, including claim intimation, submission of documents and photographs, claim status, downloading MIS reports, and microdata capturing as per specific requirements for the business. The insured customers will also receive notifications and updates throughout the claims journey. The team plans to add valuable features to the portal like video claims assessments, query assis- tance via video conference, local area alerts on weather updates for natural catastrophes, and much more. Launch of Mobile App for External Surveyor In Q1 FY’24, the Non-Motor Claims team successfully deployed the ‘Bajaj Allianz Surveyor App’ for Non-Motor claims external surveyors. The Surveyor App is a user-friendly application designed to facilitate the surveying process. It offers a range of features and functionalities to streamline claim management and improve surveyor efficiency. With its intuitive interface and comprehensive func- tionality, the Surveyor App aims to smoothen the external surveying workflow, improve overall claims settlement TAT for customers, and provide a handy tool to surveyors and internal claims han- dlers. Cyclone Biparjoy Claim Settlement Update The team worked tirelessly to settle Non-Motor claims of the insureds affected by the Biparjoy Cyclone. The team has settled more than 70% of claims, ensuring a swift reso- lution for our valued customers. The team went the extra mile to expedite the claims process, provided all necessary assistance to the customers and offered them a seamless experience. Global Accounts Team Update Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Multinational Conference, Munich In Q1 FY’24, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty conducted their worldwide multinational conference in Munich, Germany. Ms. Sathyabama Murali - Head, Global Accounts, and Mr. Khozema Filmwala, Global Accounts Busi- ness Manager, represented Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd. at this conference. The team engaged with attendees from multiple countries and the AGCS multinational management team and discussed various topics. Our company is one of the biggest servicing operating entities of AGCS, and India being the growth market, the AGCS Lead Operating Entities from USA and Europe regions showed keen interest in understanding the Indian market overview, regulatory aspects, and best practices followed by our organization in handling international programs. Meeting with AGCS Singapore's MD In Q1 FY’24, Ms. Heval Polat, Managing Director, Operations, Asia Pacif- ic and Regional Head of Multinational at AGCS Singapore, visited AGCS India, Mumbai. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Batra, EVP & Head – Property & Global Accounts, Ms. Sathyabama Murali, Head - Global Accounts, and Mr. Khozema Filmwala, Global Accounts Business Manager, were pres- ent and received her at the AGCS Mumbai office. The tool has been integrated with various quotation modules to assess natural hazards. It operates at the Latitude-Longitude level based on risk location address, providing a hassle-free Risk Hazard Index to users hence making the entire process hassle-free. The tool is live at the PAN India level. Risk Engineering Underwriting PRIME App Demonstration for Alembic Pharmaceuticals In May'23, the Risk Engineering Services team demonstrated the features of the PRIME App to the representatives of Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd, India's leading multinational pharmaceutical company, in coordination with the Corporate Business Group team in Mumbai. Mr. Ganesh Vanam, Head-Risk Engineering Services, conducted the session and explained the features of the PRIME App, which would enable the Depot Managers to con- duct a self-survey of their storage facility and get a formal risk report. The team also visited Alembic Pharmaceutical's office in Andheri and presented risk features and GAP analysis to their Distribution Head and senior man- agement. Workshop for Western Region Brokers on Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Plant The Risk Engineering and Property Underwriting Team collaborated with the Corporate Business Group team to organize a workshop for the Western region brokers in Mumbai. The seminar titled –‘Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Plant – Risk Management & Insurance Coverage Perspective’ was conducted and anchored by; Mr. Vinod Patel, Technical Head Commercial Underwriting (West I - Corporate); Mr. Ganesh Vanam, Head - Risk Engineering Services, under the guidance of Mr. Gurdeep Singh Batra - Head Property (E&S), Risk Eng. Services and Global Business and Mr. Deepak Makwana, Vice President - Corporate Mar- keting- Brokers. During these sessions, they discussed the Company’s market presence in these sectors, best practices, and risk mitigation techniques. Over 260+ brokers from the Western region attended the session. Webinar Session on Battery Manufacturing As a part of the 'Suraksha' webinar series, Mr. Gurdeep Singh Batra - National Head –Retail Non-Motor Underwriting & Coinsurance, and Mr. Ganesh Vanam, Head – Risk Engineering Services, conducted an interactive webinar session on Battery Manufacturing for the Company's Commercial Underwriting team. Risk Engineers and over 100 underwriters actively participated in the webi- nar, during which they further improved their understanding of the technolo- gy involved in battery manufacturing. They also learned about the typical hazards and risks involved, which will be helpful for them while underwriting the risks. Product Development Team Update New Products Filed In Q1 FY’24, the Product Development team filed two innovative insurance products with the IRDAI. The product – Flexi Commercial Property Guard covers the loss or damage caused to the building, structures, plant, machinery, stock and other assets relating to the insured’s business. The policy can be opted for Short, Annual, and long term up to 5 years. The other product, Flexi Home Shield, covers the loss or damage to the home building and its contents and can be opted for short, annual and long-term for up to 30 years. Both products have been approved by the regulator in the first fiscal quarter of the year. 8 Issue 1 - 2023-2024

Padmaja, Regional Training Manager, Bangalore. This pro- gram created product awareness among the attendees and highlighted various products’ unique product selling points, positioning, and understanding of competitors’ offerings. Product Training for LICHFL Training for NBFC Partner - Indian Postal Payment Bank The team conducted a training session for the LICHFL partners across the North region and trained more than 70 participants. The session facilitated by Mr. Jaideep Saha, Regional Training Manager-North Region, focused on imparting product knowledge to the attendees. In Q1 FY’24, the team conducted a training session for the Indian Postal Payment Bank at Amreli, Gujarat. Vaishali Dave, Regional Trainer, Ahmedabad, facilitated this train- ing session and saw a participation of more than 150 attendees. Skill Development Program for Employees Skill Development and Product Training for One Two One & Web Sales The team organised a skill-based and product-based train- ing session for the One Two One employees in the North region. Mr. Jaideep Saha, Regional Training Manager, North Region, facilitated the session and educated more than 70 employees. Training for HDFC Vertical Product Training for Retail Team The team organised a product training session for the HDFC vertical, which saw participation from the Branch Banking, Vehicle Loan, Misc. Retail Assets and Tele- sales sub-channels. The session trained more than 200+ participants and aimed at enhancing their prod- uct knowledge skills. The team organised a training session for the Retail team for Prime Relationships /RSME Partners in the North region. The workshop brought together all the zonal heads and head office leadership team, and the meet was also attended by the different channel heads who expressed their views about the motor claim function. Interaction with Emerging Channel GEO Business Office Visits and Meetings Intermediaries in Maharashtra The Motor Claims team conducted an interactive session with the emerging channel intermediaries in Pune, during which the team briefed about the complete claims process to the emerging channel intermediaries from across the Maharashtra state. The Motor Claims team visited several GEO Business Offic- es in the east zone like Asansol, Durgapur, Burdwan, Malda, Behrampore, Coochbehar, Tinsukia, and interacted with various dealers, IMDs, and agents. During these meet- ings, the team explained the nuances and process of motor claims to dealers and newly onboarded agents who were unfamiliar with the claim process. ESG Team Update World Environment Day Celebratory Activities In June’23, the ESG team commemorated World Environment Day by organising several activities and awareness initiatives. Over 3,000 em- ployees took the ESG pledge digitally to show their commitment towards a sustainable tomorrow. The team also conducted a particular donation drive to collect recyclable belongings to promote the philoso- phy of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The employees at Pune HO donated 434 KG of books and other belongings to the SWaCH Co-Operative. The ESG team also launched a series of podcasts – Sustainably Yours, addressing the importance of the environment and how we can do our bit to preserve and protect it. BAGIC Receives Independent GHG Assurance In Q1 FY’24, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance obtained Independent Greenhouse Gas Assurance (GHG) from DNV India Assurance Services. This assurance is a vital component in our strategy to reduce our impact on climate. The team connected with over 4,000 Advisors at 30 major locations. These sessions saw an enriching exchange of ideas, discussions on business performance, our new products, services and digital capabilities. The team also presented top senior Advisors with a specially curated certificate expressing gratitude to them for their long-term association and valuable contribution. The National Heads of Retail Channels and Mr. Aditya Sharma, Chief Distribution Officer, Retail Sales, personally conducted these Milaap sessions. The team also relaunched the ‘Jai Ho’ campaign during these sessions, which added to the excitement of the participants. The Learning Hour The team initiated the ‘Learning Hour’ - a specially curated month-long program by all the functional heads, including motor, claims, underwriting, products & IT, to update zonal and cluster heads on all aspects of the business, including products, processes and recent developments. The program aimed at knowledge building of employees at the zonal and cluster levels. These sessions were conducted in phygital form, and the participants attended the ‘Learning Hour,’ from local offices. The team organized over 15 learning hour sessions in which about 195 cluster and zonal heads were trained across 56 locations. Web Sales Team Update Issue 1 - 2023-2024 CEO Meet | BAGIC and PolicyBazaar The Web Sales team organized a meeting between Mr. Tapan Singhel, MD & CEO, and Mr. Sarabvir Singh, CEO, PolicyBazaar.com. During this top-level meeting, both CEOs shared their views on various trends shaping the Indian insurance sector and potential growth areas for the industry. Innovative products like Pet, Home and Cyber insurance were at the forefront of this discussion. Both teams also chalked out a blueprint of major focus areas for FY'24. Leadership Meet with BOXX Insurance The team arranged a leadership-level meet and greet to host delegates from BOXX Insurance, a leading international Insurtech company spe- cializing in cyber protection. BOXX Insurance is now spreading its wings in the Indian insurance space and is making a foothold in the Indian market. The key point of discussion in the meeting was how services offered by BOXX Insurance could be collaborated with BAGIC's Cyber Insurance policy to deliver a more holistic experience to the customers. It is a scheme implemented through the Indian postal department, the Indian post payment banks, and the Minis- try of Labour and Employment. This visionary product aims to provide comprehensive coverage, protection, and social security benefits to agricultural laborers. This accident insurance policy will give financial assistance to laborers and their families in case of an accident. Corporate Business Group Team Update Seminar on Cyber Risk Management for Brokers In Q1 FY’24, the Corporate Business Group team organised a seminar for the insurance brokers in Delhi NCR, which saw nearly 65 participants from more than 20 broking entities. The traditional Security Operations Center (SOC) model, although effective in its time, can no longer keep pace with the rapidly changing threat landscape. Recognizing this need for adaptation, in Q1 FY’24, the Risk Management De- partment and Information Technology Team embarked on an audacious journey to transition from a traditional SOC to a cutting-edge Next Genera- tion SOC (Next Gen SOC). In a remarkable feat, the teams transitioned from a traditional SOC to a Next Gen SOC in 12 days, setting an industry record. Through collaborative planning, partnering with new providers, and meticu- lous execution, they delivered the Next Generation Security Operations Centre ahead of schedule. Human Resources Team Update L&D Update Second Semester In Q1 FY’24, the L&D team launched ‘Second Semester’, a higher education program in collaboration with the prestigious IIM Calcutta; offering Leadership and Management Program (30 employees from GB07 grade) and Executive General Man- agement Program (45 employees from GB05-06 grade). The program started in May’23 with an orientation call with Mr. Tapan Singhel, MD & CEO followed by the first campus immersion at IIMC where some of the CXOs accompanied to moti- vate the participants of both the batches as they embarked on this intense one year long learning journey. Group Finance Associates Program (GFAP) As part of the Group Finance Associates Program (GFAP), the L&D team on-boarded a new batch of qualified Charted Account- ants (CA) and facilitated their induction in May’23. Campus to Corporate: Management & Executive Trainee Program The Talent Acquisition and L&D team hired and organised a comprehensive week-long classroom Orientation Program in Pune for over 80 Management Trainees and onboarded 220 Executive Trainees across locations. The objective of this pro- gram was to introduce them to our values, growth trajectory, distribution channels, and product offerings. The program comprised interactive sessions with CXOs and senior leaders, who provided insights into various business verticals and their operations. GEO Business Team Update Driving Personal Accident Policies in Satara Region In Q1 FY’24, the GEO Distribution team in Satara, Maharashtra has put up immense efforts to onboard the India Post Pay- ments Bank to drive Personal Accident Policies. Mr. Santosh Kumar, Branch Manager – IPPB (Satara) has taken up a chal- lenge to achieve INR 1 crore worth of premium by issuing Personal Accident policies. Fascinated by the unique flora and fauna, he developed a passion for snakes and decided to become a snake rescuer. Under the guidance of Dr. Prasad Dabholkar, an environmen- talist, Omkar and his team embarked on a mission to change the community's perception of snakes and pro- mote their conservation. Through public awareness campaigns and educational initiatives, they have suc- cessfully rescued and protected numerous snake spe- cies, including the venomous ones, while educating the public about their vital role in the ecosystem. Their efforts have transformed the outlook towards snakes in Alibag, aiming for a harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife. CARE Hero of BAGIC Heroic Office Worker Saves Colleague's Life during Heart Attack Mr. Pramod Khati Sr. Service Engineer, Motor OD Claims In a remarkable display of courage and quick thinking, Mr. Pramod Khati, became a real-life hero on May 18, 2023. One of his colleague from the Motor Underwriting team, approached him in severe distress, complaining of excruciating chest pain that radiated to his left side. Recognizing the symptoms of a heart attack due to his personal experiences and deep study of the subject, Mr. Khati sprang into action. Though he couldn't directly confirm the condition, he swiftly rushed him to MGS Multispecialty Hospital. At the hospital, doctors conducted immediate tests, confirming that the employee had indeed suffered a heart attack. Due to the unavailability of a cardiologist, they transferred him to Maharaja Agarsen Hos- pital. Mr. Pramod stayed with the employee throughout the critical operation, and ensured all the neces- sary procedure gets attended to in the absence of family members. After the successful operation, the employee’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pramod for his heroic actions. The selfless and deci- sive intervention by Mr. Pramod not only saved a life but also serves as an inspiring reminder that anyone can be a hero in a time of crisis. The most memorable moment has to be the call from HR for acceptance as I had been trying too long and too hard to become a part of HAT and BAGIC. What is your success mantra? Be disciplined in every aspect of life, personal or professional. Being organized and disciplined has helped me achieve both small and big milestones. My Story Describe your journey with BAGIC? It's been two years since I joined BAGIC as an HR support. I have enjoyed every day at work here; Suraj Shelar it is fun to interact with new employees and managers, I get to learn a lot from each of them. What is it that you like about BAGIC or your team? HR Support At BAGIC, teams work efficiently; individual team members contribute their skills and experience to achieve the team's goals. And leaders always guide and encourage us. What is your happiest moment? The happiest moment was receiving the MD & CEO Certificate of Appreciation for my work and dedication. What do you do on a day off? I usually spend the day with my friends and family. Your message to your fellow colleagues Since the day I joined this company, the continued support I received is the one thing I can always count on.
