Then we were so blessed to get the call that Rachael Byers- *Rotan vs Klondike (@ Klond- husband volunteered to donate the use of and drive an 18-wheelerike) 6pm V with an enclosed trailer with all the supplies. Not only did they do this, they, along with their son Lane Byers, helped unload theSeptember 27 truck in Ingleside on Saturday, September 2. Roby High SchoolCross Country National Honor Society headed the donation drive at Roby HS and in 2 days time, they were able to fill an 18 foot horse trailer with- Rotan, Aspermont @Seabee tons of supplies. These kids gathered, diapers, water, clothing,Park Abilene JH/HS TBA cleaning supplies, personal hygiene supplies, toys, and food, both people food and pet food. We were truly amazed by the work- Roby @ Throckmorton or Rule these kids at Roby put forth to get the people of South Texas someJH?HS supplies. We left Abilene at 4:00 am on Saturday morning, Sept 2, with the truck load. All in all, we took 40,000 LBs of suppliesSeptember 28 in the Byers truck to Ingleside Texas, a small town just south ofJH/JV FOOTBALL Rockport, Texas, where the eye of Hurricane Harvey had hit. The church and people that received our truck of goodies, were both- Rotan vs Lueders-Avoca 5pm shocked at the amount we brought and totally overjoyed! But(@ Lueders) JH their spirit was what amazed us. There were no complaints, no crying over their loss of belongings or homes, no sadness. They- Roby JH OPEN were happy to be alive and grateful for our donations. They actu- ally had lunch waiting on us when we arrived! We went down there to bless them, and we ended up being blessed BY them.
