FOREWORD AS YOU EMBARK UPON THIS SPIRITUAL JOURNEY, know that every idea and every word in the message that follows is intended for those who believe in a Higher Power. These teachings are meant to be compatible with every religion, spiritual practice, or tradition premised on a One Deity theology. The effectiveness of these words will be enhanced if you apply them according to the requirements of your chosen beliefs. They present a powerful method for everyone to help defeat any addiction. As all humankind is united in Oneness with God, The Higher Power, these teachings are intended to draw together all humanity in the struggle to eradicate addiction. PREFACE LIKE SO MANY WHO RECOVERD FROM ADDICTION. I made a sacred promise God that I would share with my brothers and sisters the way to freedom from life’s many addictions, as I have been given the vision to see it. In the current mix of crisis circumstances, sobriety is essential for the survival of the human species. Clarity of mind, sharpness of senses, cognitive wellness, and the submission of self to Divine guidance will be necessary to get you through these perilous times. The crisis milieu of multiple pandemics, cataclysmic climate change, the drums of war, worldwide famine, and a global sense of gloom and doom have shaped the urgent tone of this message. The teachings and exercises that follow are offered to help you counter the traumatic stress affecting the inhabitants of our planet. The good news is that the long-predicted apocalypse is not a fate that humanity can do nothing about but rather a future that will doom humanity if we do nothing to prevent it. Therefore, every individual and the whole of humanity will need clear, unclouded communication with the Eternal Love-force that resides deep within for advice, enlightenment, hope, strength, and faith. vi

But unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will make it while struggling with addiction. For, clinging to the pleasing of self and worshiping material things will cause you (and much of humanity) even more suffering, loss, and, ultimately, destruction. Understanding the Divine aspect of these words will require you to comprehend profound truths. Your spiritual mind will grasp the knowledge only if you disregard worldly judgment. If you are ready to alter the behaviors that hold you in bondage, you can cast off addiction by embracing the joy of Divine Love. This guide to recovery includes prayers, affirmations, meditations, and spiritual healing methods that will calm your obsessions and discipline your mind. You can live according to God’s Divine Order by controlling your desires. For governance over self is the earthly manifestation of spirituality. When you have regained control over self, you will be called to help others find the way to freedom – our supreme mission. Your involvement could help save the human species. The ultimate goal is to assist our brothers and sisters who have fallen under addiction’s spell to find eternal, everlasting freedom. CHAPTER 1 DIVINE LOVE THESE WORDS ARE ADDRESSED TO THE SPIRITUAL YOU– the eternal essence now experiencing life through the consciousness of your human “self.” In this context, your self consists of your mind, your emotions, and your flesh – all the worldly aspects of your being. By Divine Order, your biological body is your sovereign kingdom. Your brain (with its thoughts and ideas), heart (with its feelings and emotions), and all the cells in your body (with their insatiable desires ) are your bound subjects. Because the Creator endowed you with absolute responsibility for self, your duty is to govern every idea, expression, and action in 1

your life. However, if you struggle to recover from addiction, you know that your desires dominate your thoughts, words, and deeds. The Spiritual You does not control your self. Self-control is a measure of spiritual awakening, which can be determined by a person’s ability to follow guidance from the Higher Power. But- all too often, addicted individuals routinely dismisses spiritual guidance and mindlessly goes incline to surrender to the desires of the flesh. One who routinely dismisses spiritual guidance and mindlessly goes along with every urge, crush, or craving that comes to mind, is operating at the level of a wild beast. Self-control separates human beings from all other animal species. Thus, spiritual control over self is the essence of humanity. Now, spirit and self are different in form and substance. The spirit is at the top of the Divine Order; the self is at the bottom. The spirit is eternal; the self is temporary. The loving, caring, Spiritual You represents life everlasting, while your mortal self is doomed to destruction and death. As long as your self stubbornly refuses to align with the Divine Order, your spirit and self will be in conflict. If you realize it is time to resolve this inner turmoil, have been awakened or will soon be. Either way, until the 2

eternal Spiritual You takes control, your role in this life will be comparable to a hapless rider in a runaway vehicle. Such is the nature of addiction. However, you can regain mastery over your life by focusing your awareness deep within, where the desires of self have no sway. Loving God from the inner sanctum of your soul will set you free, for love is the foundation of liberty. And the highest manifestation of love is Divine Love – humankind’s exalted ability to feel and express affection for God. Your love for God reflects God’s Unconditional love for humanity. Understanding the spiritual aspect of these words will require you to comprehend the profound truths soon to flood your awareness. Your spiritual mind will grasp the knowledge only if you disregard worldly judgment. If you are ready to alter the behaviors that hold you in bondage, you can cast off addiction by embracing the joy of Divine Love. The healing bliss that emanates from loving God will enlighten your mind and satisfy your soul aspirations. Divine Love will immediately release you from addiction’s mental, emotional, and psychological shackles. discipline your mind. You can live according to God’s Divine Order by controlling your desires. For governance over self is the earthly manifestation of spirituality. Addiction quickened you and qualified you for the spiritual journey you are about to embark upon. In this work, the journey is as important as the destination. So, on the way to recovery, allow Divine Love to fill your consciousness with peace and spiritual ecstasy, expelling the insatiable desires that have dominated you for so long. You were chosen not from the lap of luxury and privilege but the scorching flames of chemical bondage. Indeed, the fiery furnace of addiction strengthened you. Just as the hottest fire produces the most hardened steel, the fire of obsession molded you. When you recover from addiction, you will achieve things that were inconceivable before. God loves you unconditionally; feeling Love for God with your all will leave no space for addiction. However, Divine Love will only break addiction’s spell if that is what you desire more than anything else. You were chosen; now, you must choose. You must decide whether to be a missionary in the war against addiction or not. The call is yours and yours alone. 4

Expressing Divine Love Expressing love for god promotes harmony and fills your consciousness with heavenly joy. But the highest fulfillment is derived from conveying Love for God directly to God. Saying “I Love You, God” will fortify every cell in your body, allowing your mind to receive God’s loving Guidance to light and direct your way. Humanity has evolved so that the positive soul quality of Love naturally blossoms in human hearts as the joyful flower-head of close personal and societal relationships. There is a dimension of Divine Love within your soul where the Spiritual You abides in blissful consciousness of Oneness with God. Consequently, when you speak the words “I love you” to someone, intense energy vibrations resonate in your beloved’s heart, triggering the release of an exhilarating blend of chemicals in their brains, stimulating reward circuits throughout the body. Likewise, by saying “I Love You” to your loved ones, you transmit fortifying, energizing 5

vibrations inwards, causing the release of endorphins within your own brain. Expressed Love, therefore, elevates the mental, emotional, and physiological state of the beloved as well as the one who proclaims Love. On a higher level, expressing Love for God directly to God exalts positive energy so that Divine Love resonates from the deepest realms of the soul and radiates love vibrations throughout the spiritual and material domains. For example, giving voice to Divine Love by saying, singing, or thinking the phrase “I Love You, God” profoundly affects your brain, causing your mind to respond in the same way good music triggers the pleasure centers of your brain to release compounds that make you feel joy. Except that sound waves generated when you express Love for God resonate at the highest possible level and cause the greatest possible gratification. Vibrations generated by human expressions of Love for God are transmitted throughout the universe because Divine Love is eternal and everlasting. So, you can speak directly to God by saying “I Love You, God.” These four words establish direct communion with God. You can even croon the words in different tunes, rhythms, beats, and tempos. Try singing the words to your favorite melody. You can say “I Love You, God” in poetic features, like rhyme, 6

cadence, or rap. You can whisper, if you like, or think the words in your mind. Also, you can audibly speak your Love for God to God to generate love vibrations around you. (See www.ilvugod.com.) Another way of saying “I love you” to God is to visually express the words “I Love you, God” in paintings, movies, videos, graffiti, yard signs, YouTube, tweets, posters, billboards, etc. The wisest of the wise agree that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” This idiom applies many times over to images expressing love for God. In this context, an image that conveys love for God to God will channel a continuous beam of Divine Love on all planes, vibrating throughout the universe. No matter how you express Divine Love, doing so will cause every beat of your heart to emit soothing vibrations to the deepest realms of your consciousness, throughout your mind and body, and out into the world. Every expression of Divine Love radiates throughout the entire universe, on all planes and dimensions. Therefore, you will derive the highest fulfillment by conveying Love directly to God. Saying “I Love You, God” will fortify every cell in your body, promote harmony, and fill your consciousness with heavenly joy, allowing your mind to receive God’s Loving Guidance to light 7

allowing your mind to receive God’s Loving Guidance to light and direct your way. In addition to arousing the real loving nature of your soul, expressing Divine Love will elevate your spirit and awaken a supreme desire for Oneness with God. Share your Love for God with the world and let Divine Love radiate so that you will love all humankind in God’s Likeness. The guaranteed outcome from your expressions of Divine Love will be a heightened understanding of your place in God’s Perfect Plan and an elevated consciousness of Oneness with the Divine. Our goal in producing this message is to assure you that Divine Love will help you get through these troubled times. So, open your heart and prepare to celebrate the joy of Divine Recovery. Feel Love for Our Creator with all your heart, mind, and soul, and heavenly bliss will strengthen and fortify you. You will satisfy your soul’s deepest yearnings by expressing Love for God to God. Be joyfully aware of the perfection of Divine Love in you and uphold your duty to go forth in the light of Love. Focus your awareness on the Creator’s Purpose for you. An elevated knowledge of God’s Love in all things will shield and protect you during the periods of your greatest tribulation. Feel Love for God in the Oneness consciousness. Direct every cell in your body to convey unconditional Love 8

for God and unite with every being and atom in the universe. You will know that God is present in you when you feel Love for God because God is Love. The power of your expressions will increase exponentially when you join others on every plane to speak Love for God at sunrise, sunset, noon, and midnight. The journey through these trying times is a passage of Divine Love, a mission that will bring you into complete harmony with the cosmic rhythm with all of creation. Divine Love is omnipresent; it is everywhere, in everything and everybody. It is tangible and visible. Yet, it is unquantifiable and immeasurable, with no beginning or end. The two posts of Divine Love are God’s Love for humankind and humanity’s unique ability to love God in return. Divine Love is the underlying force behind all creation; expressing it magnifies its power exponentially. Expressing Divine Love will free you from everything that would hold you back from your purpose. Unleash your spiritual, mental, intellectual, and physical powers by unceasingly expressing Divine Love, and you shall experience everlasting joy. Nothing can stop you. We know this to be so! 9

The Miracle Cure Divine love is the miracle cure for all sorts of human ailments, particularly those involving behavioral and mental issues. The remedy has been placed within us all – God’s blessing to everyone. Yet, this healing prescription is inaccessible to all who insist on living in the fog of materialism and utter selfishness so prevalent today. Given their lust for pleasure and the greed that consumes them, it is easy to understand why addicts find it hard to conceptualize Divine Love as a cure for substance use disorder. Yet, you who are addicted are the very ones most in need of this miracle cure. Divine Love quenches gluttony with spiritual ful- fillment. It obliterates greed by making the pleasure of advancing the common good greater than pleasing self. It cancels lust by harnessing the passion for pleasure and uses that energy to advance God’s Perfect Plan. That’s Divine Love. Against this backdrop, when Jesus spoke of Love for God as “the first and greatest 10

commandment,” even his followers mistook his advice as a religious statute. But it was the most blessed gift ever bestowed upon humankind. Divine Love manifests the power of intervention by God to relieve individual human suffering. Those wise enough to perceive it recognized this gift as a miracle cure. Every person who could discern the gift got rewarded by special grace, but they were few. Even now, only a relatively small number of people among the billions in the world have attained the awakening level that will allow Divine Love to heal them. There is no better prescription for recovery than God’s Miracle Cure, which only awaits your recognition of it to achieve eternal, everlasting healing. Now, finally, you are ready to know and understand that Divine Love will liberate you and bless you with the soul satisfaction you have desperately sought. So, open your spiritual eyes and discern what you have been seeking from the outer world beaming from within. The way to be cured by Divine Love is to give Love unconditionally; the more you love, the happier you will feel. Accordingly, not just God’s Love for you will liberate you from the chains of addiction. 11

Instead, your Love for God will set you free! Loving God with all your heart, mind, and soul will lift your consciousness to Heavenly Oneness, and you will experience spiritual ecstasy beyond human words. Your ability to feel joyful Love for God is indeed a Miracle Cure. God has placed an inexhaustible reservoir of Divine Love at your soul’s center for healing and enlightenment. So, open your heart as fully as possible, then release Divine Love into the universe You don’t have to drink, smoke, vape, or inject anything to achieve a spiritual high. As soon as you partake of this miracle cure, your mind will realize that spiritual joy is the only true fulfillment. Yes, the ecstasy that fills your consciousness when you love God with all your being will eclipse your compulsion to get high. Finding an infinitely more pleasing feeling than getting high is essential because you cannot live in harmony as long as you struggle to give up something your mind and flesh slavishly crave. So, concentrate on the above words. Pray and meditate on them until you get their whole meaning, for this message is the way to freedom from life’s many addictions. you will experience spiritual ecstasy beyond human words. 12
