President's Desk \"Education is an Endless Journey through Knowledge and Enlightenment\" My heart fills with immense pleasure to pen down the message for the school magazine. Congratulations to the Indian School Al Seeb family on the completion of 20 years of excellence. Two decades back ISAS pledged to transform education. Now we are celebrating the 21st year of the institution which is a symbol of discipline, values, and unstoppable achievement The school is being run under the aegis of a well-established Board of Directors, Management committee, Principal, and staff. ISAS over a period of 20 years has earned its own niche in delivering high-quality education. Today, the role of a school is not to pursue academic excellence only but inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity, and reliability in a student and also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centric environment. PRINCIPAL'S DESK Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude. We are extremely proud to inform you that ISAS has been serving society and the student community for the last 20 years, since 2002. At this vital juncture, as we celebrate the completion of 20 years of our successful journey, we seek your blessings and prayers. At the outset, let me place on record the immense contributions of all our stakeholders namely, Directors in charge from BoD of Indian Schools Oman, Presidents and members of SMC, Parents, staff including nationals, and society at large. Though there are various types of education, typically traditional schooling dictates the way one's education success is measured. A shift in educational engagement is occurring for Generation Alpha, who are characterized by being digital natives, with schools switching from structural and auditory learning to engaging, visual, multimodal, and hands-on methods of educating this emerging generation. As the ultimate goal of education is to help an individual navigate life and contribute to society, I can confidently state that ISAS has always taken care of those aspects. Education is the most powerful tool which provides freedom and empowerment to all individuals and we will be continuing to serve the same in the coming years too. The will to win, The desire to succeed, The urge to reach your full potential. Reflections I am delighted to be a part of an organization where excellence and community education services have been provided since 2002 to its students for their dreams to unfold into reality. I consider myself to be fortunate to be a part of this esteemed organisation , from its budding stage to the point where it has flourished and reached a fruitful stage. Proud to see its present Building & IT infrastructural strength, to cater updated educational services to a large number of students. New opportunities, new challenges, hopes as well as apprehensions! And if you ask ‘Was it a roller coaster ride?’, my response would definitely be ‘Yes’!!!! I had to be flexible, yet be myself. I adapted, reflected, renewed! Learnt, unlearnt and relearnt to keep up with my students, the New Gen kids. We grew and developed together. We evolved!! It was a kind of interdependence. Over the years, my students have become a part and parcel of my existence. Witnessing their journey from childhood to the brink of adulthood is simply amazing. Many memorable moments, unforgettable interactions with students and colleagues have caused me to reassess my approach to teaching and my thoughts on education in general. This 20th year at Indian School Al Seeb represents a significant milestone to me personally. At this moment, besides Providence, I am grateful to all who have been instrumental in making me what I am today – BoD & SMC, Superiors, Colleagues, Students, Parents, Family and many more…. Thanks to all my students for being a part of this incredible journey”!! Little did I Know at that time, that I would be spending 20 wonderful years in this institution. It sounds like a long time. But honestly I never realized how time flew. The journey was not easy, but was challenging and exciting. During the course of my journey, each student has left an imprint in my life. Each day was a new learning experience. I can very proudly say that, as I have taught my students, they also have taught me in return. There were numerous satisfying and rewarding moments in the classrooms as well as out of it. The school has come a long way from a small rented villa to a big sprawling school, trying to provide the students with all latest amenities thus helping the students to excel in all fields. The voyage of ISAS has been fraught with tides of hopes, ordeals and episodes of fables achievements and success tales. I consider it as my privilege to be a part in the Journey of ISAS. CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES AND WISHES FORMER PRESIDENTS Time flies and it flies fast. I was privileged to be associated with ISAS in its formative years and I am happy it has grown. President -Mr.S Sridharan (2003-2006) I am glad to understand that Indian School Seeb is celebrating its 20th Anniversary now. I have sentimental attachment to the Seeb School, as I was the Treasurer since inception till I took over as President of ISM SMC in July 2008. I was also actively involved in preparation of Feasibility study for Construction of Seeb School Building in the initial stages. My Heartiest Congratulations to Seeb School on its 20th Anniversary and Best Wishes for further growth, Qualitatively and Quantitatively, to benefit the present and future students of the School. -Mr.S.Subramanian (2008-2010) It is my great pleasure to send a message to the 7 Principal of the Indian School Seeb on the occasion of the completion of 20 years of service. I am currently in my retirement life in Kerala recollecting the cherishing memories of the Seeb school activities. At the time of my presidency, it was great satisfaction in my life that I got a chance to be a part of the life-molding activities of the young Indians living in Oman. My advice for the best management of the school is to give responsibility mainly to the principal and the teaching staff. The duty of the school management committee is to monitor and give the needed help to the people who are full-time dedicated to the school. That is how I enjoyed my tenure as the President. I take this opportunity to wish all the best to the management committee, the teaching staff, and the Principal for very successful future years. First of all, let me congratulate Indian School Seeb for completing 20 glorious years of service to the Indian community. For me, it’s indeed a matter of pride and privilege to have been associated with ISAS. From very modest beginnings, it has grown into a major school in the capital region, despite many challenges. The parent community of Seeb made a lot of sacrifices to make this happen. I take this opportunity to thank all of those who struggled in those initial days and made sure that there would be a school catering to the needs of the community in Seeb. Over the years, the school has become more independent, and successive BoDs, SMCs, Principals, faculty, and the community have contributed immensely to this cause. Now, as we celebrate 20 years, let’s commit ourselves to our motto that we will continue to educate our children for all-around excellence. Now the School is in a self-sustained position by all means. Rome was not built in a day in the same way the efforts of many Parents & Staff are the success of ISAS. My association with ISAS is since its inception, we can say all these 20 years of journey. The parent community played a key role in the foundation of the own premises from ISAS and we need to especially thank the Parent community on this occasion. My association with the school in the Management committee was from 2016 to 2021. We carried over the good deeds done by our previous management committee and completed the entire infrastructure required for ISAS. We also streamline the Safe Transport system during this period. Congratulatory Messages and Wishes from our Former Principals 20 years have come and gone, isas has grown from its humble beginning in its rental premises to a huge modern school that stands at the edifice of learning catering to the Indian community in Oman . Personally, I rejoice in its success as I was privileged to sow the seed into a huge tree. Luminaries from ISM like Mr.Premkumar (chemistry) ,Mr. Kelkar (geography) ,Shareef (Hindi) have been hits of this institution, contributing there might .the present principal Dr. Leena Francis has left no stone unturned in her quest for excellence. Lives of great men remind us and leave footprints on the sands of time which you are e expected to emulate. I was reminded by Dr. Leena Francis that I had recruited her as a staff of Indian School Darsait and today after 20 years we are so happy to see the programs that she has instituted. I am delighted to be a part of the Indian School family and pray that God will lead this from strength to strength and we would see an enhancement of growth and achievement of ISAS so that, the intention for which it was started as an elite school with no discriminations would be made manifest. I am proud to learn about the progress the school has made in the last 20 years. Wishes from our Former HODs This joyous occasion brings back fond memories of my ten years as a teacher at this unique institution, from 2008 to 2018. I am thankful to ISAS for providing a strong base for my profession and life, which has made me a successful teacher.
