Aluminum foil faced core is ideal to absorb low frequencies Curved designs available The only true limitation of these panels is the fabric or vinyl width and even then the panels can be made from two smaller onesNote: distances of suspensions from edges are critical. Please consult your local representative.1305 Industrielle, La Prairie, Qc. Page 28 of 33Section 14. Panel Limitations1. Rampart acoustical panels are manufactured within ± 1/16” (1,5 mm) tolerance and, could accumulate with each panel. If this is not acceptable, Rampart manufactures field adjusted panels that can be adapted to your job site conditions. Mention in you specifications that the last panels should be \"field cut\".2. Fiberglass is a porous material and although Rampart panels are machines and hand sanded, certain lighting conditions and/or finishing materials will emphasize the natural waviness of the fiberglass. Be particularly wary of down-lights close to walls, shiny vinyl and applications near windows. For these conditions, only glastrate panels, such as RA 3, should be used. Consult us or your local representative.3. Since the thickness of fiberglass cannot be Fiberglass of absolutely maintained, Rampart will not supply 3” to 4” longer than square edge panels with concealed suspension required & cut to systems in ceiling applications. (RAC 3) size in field4. Special fabrics can be used but prior to Loose specifying contact us or your local Fabric representative for a recommendation and test sample.5. In oversize panels, wider than 48 inches (1,2 m) and longer than 120 inches (3 m), it might be possible to \"see\" where the fiberglass sheets are joined through the fabric. This is called telegraphing and is usually emphasized by light conditions.1305 Industrielle, La Prairie, Qc. Page 29 of 33 Section 15. Panel Maintenance 1. A regular maintenance program, particularly vacuuming, ensures that the installation will keep its fresh look for a long time. 2. For vinyl, clean lightly with ordinary household detergents using a soft cloth. Rub lightly! Use the detergent sparingly, as a heavy application might fill in the perforations and alter the acoustical performance. 3. For fabrics, follow the fabric manufacturer’s recommendations unless it is in conflict with our information. 4. Make certain that temperature and humidity are maintained within normal range and that the core is not dampened. 5. Avoid alcohol and all solvents as they might cause the core and the finishing material to separate. 6. Test all cleaning material on the fabric or vinyl return on the back of the panels before proceeding. 7. Clean hands or wear clean gloves before handling panels and avoid any unnecessary handling. 8. All acoustic panels and fabrics required regular reapplication of Fire retardants in order to maintain fire resistance.1305 Industrielle, La Prairie, Qc.
