Kalaimamani Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan is an internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam exponent. She was trained by doyens Sri K.N. Dandayuthapani Pilllai and Smt. K.J. Sarasa. Her art is a unique blend of geometry, tradition, beauty, creativity and spirituality. Several prestigious awards and titles have come her way. She is a former board member of the Kalakshetra Foundation. Urmila is a fine combination of a seasoned performer and an established teacher. Her institution, Natya Sankalpaa is recognised for its high standards in teaching methodology. Arangetrams, solo performances and group choreographies are the hallmark of the institution. The eminent faculty include Sai Kripa Prasanna and Rekha Vijaykumar. Alumni who are trained teachers include Yamini Bhaskar, Thamayanthi Dinsan. Faculty also comprises of Gayathri Sasidaran, Subiksha Swaminathan, M. Divyalakshmi and Sangeetha Sadanandam, Yoga is taught by T.K. Thiruchelvam.

Kumari V. G. Pranauthi Kumari Pranauthi started her journey in Bharatanatyam at the age of six. She has been under the tutelage of Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan at Natyasankalpaa from 2016. Pranauthi has participated in Natya Sankalpaa’s presentations for Naadha Neerajanam, Tirumala (2019), Chidambaram Natyanjali (2020) and Kapaleeswarar Temple (2022). She has performed solo for Tejas Bala Natyatsov (2019). She has secured 2nd prize in ‘Natyarpanam 2019’ Children’s Day celebration. Pranauthi is a keen orator who has won the best speaker award in a competition organised by Tamilnadu VOC welfare association. She has recited with meaning the Thiruppavai for the entire month of margazhi for TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Bakthi Channel. Training in classical Carnatic music Pranauthi has participated in Rashtragaan by the Ministry of Culture to Mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Pranathi is a Class VIII student of DAV Girls Sr. Secondary School Mogappair. She humbly seeks the blessings of the Almighty, Guru, family, friends and all her well wishers for this auspicious occasion.
