CSU Sacramento: Teaching credential, PE ABOUT ME:Husband, Father, Believer MY WHY:I enjoy seeing students improve and finally “get it”. I want to serve kids because so many don’t have a positive father figure in their life. I want to be a father to the fatherless.

MY WHY:I enjoy working with youth of all ages and hope to inspire and encourage as many students as possible, as a coach and teacher.

WHAT I TEACH:CTE CHASITY CAMERO YEARS TAUGHT:17 WHERE I ATTENDED SCHOOL:UTSA - Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Business Administration, Minor in Communication ABOUT ME:I have been a teacher for 17 years, team lead for 10 years, and have worked at 4 different campuses. I am a proud graduate of NBHS!! I have two daughters who keep me on my toes everyday, two pups who are amazing, and have been married for 14 years. Fun Facts About Me: (1) This year I donated four ponytails of 11 inches each to Loves of Love; (2) This year I checked off a bucket list adventure which was going deep sea fishing in the Sea of Cortez near Cabo San Lucas. I am not a fishermen by any means and our adventure ended with nothing being caught. However, I did get to see a marlin leap, two manta ray jumps, and spotted three shark fins which was really cool to see. I enjoy traveling and adventures, attending my daughter's extracurricular activities, watching movies when possible, and spending time with family. MY WHY:Over my years 17 years of teaching, I have worked with literally thousands of students. I have found that students are the most real and resilient people on earth, and try their hardest to make this world a better place!! And I get to work with them five days a week!!! I truly consider myself lucky to be able to do what I do everyday!

WHAT I TEACH:Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer 1ST SGT FELIX ACOSTA Training Corps (MCJROTC) YEARS TAUGHT:10 WHERE I ATTENDED SCHOOL:National University - Bachelor of Science (Homeland Security and Emergency Management), Master of Public Administration ABOUT ME:I am a native Texan and upon graduating high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps Infantry and served for 24 years. I am married to Becky Acosta who is an educator as well and who has received her terminal degree in Educational Leadership. We have been married for 27 years now and have two children who are both married. My son, James, is a Culinary graduate and my daughter, Miranda, graduated from Texas Tech and is a 6th grade science teacher. We have two dogs, one cat and nine chickens and have been living in New Braunfels now for ten years. I love to run and ride my motorcycle when the weather is not too hot. MY WHY:I have a passion for making a difference by building positive relationships, and every day I know I will be making an impact on student’s lives. Finally, to empower students to take responsibility and control of their own learning.

WHAT I TEACH:JROTC Mark House YEARS TAUGHT:12 WHERE I ATTENDED SCHOOL: U.S Naval Academy BS ABOUT ME:Married 27 years to Allison House and we have 3 children (son Ethan, 18; Daughters Blaise, 16; and Scout 12). Hobbies: Jiu-Jitsu, Paragliding, tinkering with all sorts of things… trucks, cars, motorcycles, boats. I also spend a lot of time watching my children play their sports. MY WHY:I believe in the mission of guiding and teaching our youth to be good citizens of high character and to prepare them to be productive, successful and happy now and in the future.

I speak multiple languages. MY WHY:Teaching engineering lets me do wild and crazy/fun things in class - and the district pays for it.

We are from San Antonio and moved to New Braunfels five years ago, this is my 10th year teaching. I love to work out, hang out with family and go out with my NGC family. MY WHY: Love interacting and getting to know my students. My greatest joy comes from realizing what they learned in class and applying to their future. In my years of teaching, I seen several students graduated in the medical field

MY WHY:I love watching students grow. When it comes to my content, I love knowing that students are leaving me a more educated consumer (hopefully) and knowing how their food and clothes get to them. Fletcher is a senior in our Mighty Unicorn Band and Annebelle is a 6th grader at Oak Run. When I am not at school, you will find me at one of our two rivers. I love the water and being outside. MY WHY:I didn't have a teacher that I could go to when I was in high school. I have always hoped that I could be that for my students.

Besides teaching Art I at the NGC, I enjoy my church, gardening, dancing, live music any anything that has to do with God's green earth away from technology. The best part of my life are my two sweet grown children, Jess and Jonathan. MY WHY:My mother always told me I would make a good teacher, but I told her she was crazy. Here I am... I guess it ended up being my calling. I want my students to be able to walk away knowing their incredible value, and hopefully their place in becoming creative visionaries.

MY WHY:My mom is an elementary teacher, and she was my first inspiration to get into the teaching field. My passion for music and love for helping others grew my dream to be a band director and spread the positive influences of music with my students!

My name is Walkiria Maldonado Grenier and I am originally from El Paso, Texas. I am married and a proud mom of a Red Raider and an Oak Run Unicorn. When I am not in the classroom, I am spending time with my family and our 9 month old Aussie. Going for walks, listening to music, reading and traveling are my favorite things to do. MY WHY:I teach to be the teacher that I did not have when I was in grade school.

I love a good challenge and exploring the unknown. I enjoy traveling, lifting weights, learning about new cultures and languages; I speak four languages including English. I recently moved to Texas and also recently got married. I have taught French from pre-k to university and from French I to advanced and literature. MY WHY:Make a real difference in how students see themselves and the world around them. Open their mind to the world through exploration of languages and foreign cultures while teaching them to think critically and outside the box.

I also studied as an international and visiting student at University of Paris in France, Laval in Québec-Canada and the University of Zulia in Venezuela. ABOUT ME:I was born in the beautiful country of Venezuela. I am polyglot, and I love traveling and discovering different cultures and languages around the world. MY WHY:Teaching is in my DNA. I come from a family of educators who love serving and making a difference in our community.

I enjoy reading, coffee, and relaxing with some great podcasts or Netflix documentaries/shows. MY WHY:I enjoy helping, and watching kids find enjoyment in learning. I love what I do and feel blessed to be able to do it everyday. I try to remind myself that on any tough days. My family loves to travel and go on local adventures together! I've known Christopher for over 15 years and am a \"step-mom\" to 8 year old, Mason. We are from the Midwest (me - 30 miles outside Chicago, Christopher - outskirts of Detroit). Texas is the third state we've lived in together and are hoping it is the last. We love New Braunfels and Texas! I am a dog mom to Buddy who still resides in IL, and down here I get to be dog mom to Scooby! I truly can say that I am blessed and grateful! GOD IS GOOD!
