CulturHaelritage MANANG, PABILI PO!
PAGMAMANO INTANGIBLE “Pagmamano” is an honoring gesture performed mostly by young Filipinos as a sign of respect for the elderly and also a way of accepting blessings from them.
KAMAYAN TANGIBLE \"Kamayan\" is an act of eating and enjoying one's food with the use of both bare but clean both hands. Kamayan is known to be the best way to enjoy a Filipino dish.
RELIHIYOSO INTANGIBLE Majority of the Filipino population are members of the Catholic community, this is because of our ancestors who passed down the beliefs and values of being a Christian to every generation.
JEEPNEYS TANGIBLE Jeepneys are the most popular form of public transportation used by Filipinos because of its fast transportation and cheap fare.
The role of these local cultural heritages in my individual life is that it has shaped me into who I am and how I act within my community. Because of these repeated cultures and traditions, I became attached to these actions and it has become a part of my daily routine as an individual. Similarly, I noticed that people living within my area also have the same routines because of the existing cultures and practices before we were even born. However, some cultures and routines may be different from other areas; this is because they are living according to the resources they have and according to the traditions they grew up with. These existing cultures affected us, the new generation, in a way that the younger generation has already applied these practices to their everyday lives and might as well pass these accustomed behaviors and traditions to our future children.
