HR Focus Human Resource is an important corporate asset and performance of the organization depends upon the way it is put in use through human resource management, which aims at ensuring that organizations achieve success through people. The Human Resources function plays a critical role of a strategic partner which is closely integrated into the vision and strategy of the organisation. It is therefore imperative to adequately manage employee expectations, create positive work environment fostering high performance culture as well ensuring employee engagement at all levels of the organisation. In line with this endeavour, the focus areas for the Human Resources function has been to achieve the following: a) Drive performance and productivity through enhanced world class consumer experience in line with our brand proposition. b) Ensure rigour and adherence to values / systems and processes in implementation of Performance Management System – “Loop” to drive superior performance and productivity.

c) Facilitate more effective learning cycles in a geographically dispersed talent base through E-learning modules that are scalable, consistent and flexible. d) Strengthening the talent acquisition strategy to drive employee engagement & talent retention by optimally utilising employee skill- set providing cross functional exposure. e) Create a shared mind-set through strong communication and effective collaboration. Align systems and processes to recognise, reward and celebrate high performance. Capability Building Agenda Capability building is crucial for organizational development and success. The process of enhancing the skills, capabilities and knowledge of employees for doing a particular job plays a critical role for enabling employees to be more efficient and productive. It is therefore vital for an organisation to be effective and sustainable, to focus on capability building as a strategic priority, with learning objectives aligned to strategic business goals. Keeping this in view, it is critical for Human Resources and different business towers become co-owners of skill-building responsibility for the different functional teams, and integrate learning results into performance management. This will aid in the proper alignment of organisation’s learning objectives with its strategic mission.

This orientation will also ensure broad buy-in for learning success, at both the organizational and individual level. It is also crucial to establish and focus on the rigorous performance-management systems with robust metrics and measure progress against clear targets, to assess skills gaps and take necessary steps to address it with the capability building programmes. This measure is critical/essential for ensuring learning programmes lead to real business impact. TMLBSL’s Capability Building Plan is focused on four ‘anchor areas’ –  Building Customer Centric Approach  Strengthening Core delivery towers with differentiated and niche skills for transformation to a knowledge based entity  Building Digital Skill Sets  Preparing high-potential managers for leadership 4 Pillar Learning Strategy

The Programmes and Workshops have been identified under each of the anchor areas explicitly addressing the needs of identified talent groups across towers and responsibility levels. Besides function-specific programmes, the Learning & Development initiatives also encompasses broad-based programmes for developing general management and leadership development perspective of employees. The programmes and workshops will be collaboratively anchored reflecting our culture credo by respective towers and the HR Team. The programmes will be conducted in partnership with external resources/agencies to capitalize on their ability to facilitate the learning interventions in specialized areas of the business.

Our Culture Credo More When One We are connecting aspirations by being bold in thought and action, owning every opportunity and challenge, Solving together as one team and engaging all our stakeholders with empathy. We are MORE WHEN ONE!

Head TMLBSL’s Message They say, ‘Never stop learning, as life never stops teaching’! Isn’t it true? The past 1.5 years of lockdown have taught us new life lessons. We have embraced the techniques of `work from home’ and `virtual learning’. We mastered those techniques to ensure we remain steadfast in our plans. Encouraged by the success of this hybrid method, we have incorporated the same in this years’ learning calendar. As you go through the H2 learning calendar, you will notice that we now have a structured approach to learning. The learning plans are crafted based on the Learning Needs Identification exercise done by the L&D team and focussed leadership discussions. Thus, it meets the needs of the organization to face the changing business landscape and futuristic outlook. I am confident that the participants will develop new skills and competencies. It will create the groundwork for their up- skilling and growth. As business process professionals, we must get well-rounded knowledge in functional, technical, behavioural, and leadership areas and apply that in our work practices. I would encourage every individual to own their respective learning agenda and nominate themselves for the identified training programs. Learning is an investment each of us makes to secure our growth. Thus, let us learn and apply the skills, dislodge ourselves out of our comfort zones by doing new things and doing things in new ways. Happy learning to each of us! Arati Desai
