Monthly this sludge is being sent to Holcim to burn it out. For the burning process they charge 34400 rs per one metric ton of sludge apart from the transport cost. Below is the monthly wastage of filter prees sludge and the cost spent for the burning of sludge. Total cost for ETP sludge per year Waste (kg) per year - 287 000 (roughly) Charge rs per one metric ton - 34 400 34 400 × 287(MT) = 9,872,800 Objective of this project is to minimize or to cut down the cost wasting for the sludge burning process. In order to cut down the cost, we have to convert the valueless sludge into a valued product. Steps Taken 1. Sludge was dried. 2. Dried sludge was crushed to a fine powder. 3.
