HIWATCH(GUARDING VISION) SETUP

HiWatch – Cloud P2P viewing. (Guarding Vision)This is a guide outlining the most simple way to set-up your HiWatch CCTV system for mobile viewing. Forthis example we will be using the iOS version of Guarding Vision. An account created Guarding Vision willalso work with Hikvision's Hik-Connect app.The first step will be to turn on your system's recorder (NVR or DVR). Make sure the recorder is connectedto your router for access to your network.Turn on your recorder and let it boot up.On initial boot-up the wizard should start, you can choose whether this wizard starts every time the system ispowered up.

On initial set-up you will be asked to create a password for the recorder. This should be a strong passwordmade up of letters and numbers. If a password has already been applied then you will be required to enterthe admin password before continuing with the wizard set-up.As you click through the Wizard you will be required to input some basic information such as time & date.Check that these are correct and then click next to move onto the next screen.

Next, we come to the network settings. In the below example we have enabled DHCP, thus allowing therecorder to be assigned an IP address by the router automatically. If you have a specific static IP address touse then you will need to leave DHCP disabled and enter the details manually. Details are required for:IPV4 Address (The address of the recorder), Subnet Mask, Default Gateway (usually the router address) anda Preferred DNS server (typically the router address or Google's DNS address of 8.8.8.8).The next screen that you will see is the option to enable 'Platform Access'. You will be required to enter acustom verification code and accept the terms of use & privacy statement.

Assuming that the network details have been correctly entered and UPnP is enabled on the router then theplatform access should read as being online (see the example below).If you have the Guarding Vision app already installed on your mobile device and have created an accountyou can now scan this QR code to add the device.You can now click through and complete the Wizard (initialize the Hard Drive and set the recording type tomotion or continuous).The below steps will outline the basic set-up for the Guarding Vision app.Please note that HiWatch products can be added to the 'Hik-Connect' app by using the same method.
