Page 4 | AISATS New Customer AISATS HYD welcomes FLYNAS Flynas started its operations at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. AISATS HYD is the proud ground handling partner and welcomed the inaugural flight in the presence of Mr. Yoga Narasimhan, SVP-AISATS HYD & TRV and representatives from Flynas and GMR airport, Hyderabad. Awards AISATS HYD receives SATS PCEO award for Innovation Excellence AISATS Hyderabad was awarded the SATS PCEO Award for Innovation Excellence for converting diesel operated conveyor belt to a battery operated conveyor belt. This has allowed the station to reduce its consumable cost, maintenance spare cost, noise levels, fuel consumption and carbon emission. The HYD team received the award from Mr. Alexander Charles Hungate, PCEO, SATS. The original towable conveyer belt running on diesel engine used to consume 1.2 litre of diesel an hour and produced 3kgs of carbon. In the converted version, a diesel engine was replaced with 12 volts DC motor, directly connected to the hydraulic pump which generates hydraulic pressure for up/ down movement of boom and forward/reverse operations of the belt. Customer Engagement AISATS BLR organizes Iftar party AISATS BLR organised a joyful Iftar gathering for all its customer airlines on 01st June 2018. All the airline representatives joined the treat, followed by supper. The event started with a serving of fruits and snacks. Later, the traditional decadent Biryani, loved by all, was served. AISATS staff also joined in this ‘break a fast’ event. This was the 4th consecutive year when Iftar party was organised by AISATS BLR. AISATS BLR’s Iftar party has become the most sought after event for our customers in BLR. AISATS DEL celebrates Work Anniversaries with Customer Airlines AISATS never forgets to celebrate, appreciate and encourage its relationship with their customers. Page 6 | AISATS AISATS BLR joins Cathay Pacific’s 10-year Anniversary celebrations Cathay Pacific organized 10-year anniversary celebrations for its passenger flights from Bengaluru to Hong Kong. AISATS BLR, as its ground handling partner, joined the celebrations and congratulated Cathay Pacific on achieving this milestone. Safety and Security AISATS DEL organizes a safety campaign Safety is our first and most important core value ! A safety campaign was organized at AISATS DEL from the 15th - 18th May 2018. The campaign was inaugurated by Mr Hoa Kai Ee – SVP DEL & IXE in the presence of Mr Parvinder Pal Singh – Head DIAL Safety & Compliance. During the campaign, the safety team observed various turnaround flights. Interactive sessions were conducted with the Ground Support Department (GSD) team on the significance of preventive and scheduled maintenance of GSE, and with the cargo team on operational safety. Several safety quiz sessions were also conducted for equipment operators. The staff were recognised for following safe practices and reporting hazards, and were provided a token of appreciation. The campaign concluded in the presence of Mr Mohit Saxena – Manager Safety AISATS, Mr Jitender Barmota – Safety Manager, DIAL, Mr Yezdi Cooper, Vice President- Ramp & ACC AISATS, Mr Bhupender Singh Assistant Vice President, Security AISATS and their respective teams. Staff Engagement AISATS DEL organises Long Service Awards 2018 ! Long Service Awards are Management’s way of acknowledging and rewarding the exceptional loyalty of an employee while contributing towards service delivery. These awards motivate the employees to do better with more dedication and energy. AISATS DEL organized Long Service Awards on 25th April 2018 and felicitated 471 employees with token of appreciation for completing 5 years of work tenure with AISATS . Employees from various departments such as Passenger Services, Baggage Services, Cargo, Ramp and Corporate participated in the much awaited event. Mr Valerian Ferreira, Head-Human Resources, Admin & Procurement graced the event along with Mr. Hoa Kai Ee, SVP-DEL & IXE and Mr Kokchoy Liau (then) Vice President Airport Services and awarded the trophies to the winners. st nd 2 Winner: Mr. Bibarsha Mushahari, 1 Runner Up: Mr Ravi Kumar , Runner Up: Mr. Ankur Johnson Customer Airlines SQ Pool Pax FDC AI Pax AI AISATS BLR celebrates 10 years of excellence at Kempegowda Int’l Airport AISATS BLR completed 10 years of ground and cargo handling operations at Kempegowda International Airport. As part of the 10 year celebrations, cake cutting ceremonies were organized within all the departments, on 24th May 2018. The staff who completed their 10 years journey with the company shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude during the gathering. AISATS BLR is the only airport service company at Kempegowda International Airport, that provides ground and cargo handling services; AISATS BLR serves seventeen international and five domestic airlines. Since it’s inception, AISATS BLR, has handled 125,867 flights and 1,094,284 tonnes of cargo. Apart from providing services to scheduled passenger and cargo airlines, AISATS BLR also specializes in handling charter flights. AISATS BLR has established India’s first integrated on-airport perishable cargo handling centre, the AISATS COOLPORT, with a capacity to handle 40,000 tons of perishable cargo per annum. AISATS has recently introduced last mile delivery service for mishandled baggage, where AISATS’ in-house baggage delivery team ensures that the mishandled baggage is delivered to the passenger’s residence on a priority basis. Page 8 | AISATS Staff Welfare AISATS organizes health check up camp at DEL, HYD, BLR and BOM Staff Health is of prime importance to AISATS ! AISATS regularly organizes health check-up camps at all it’s BUs for the benefit of employees, and also to promote staff health and fitness among them. At AISATS DEL, HYD and BOM, health check-up camps were organised with the help of Apollo Munich Health Insurance in association with local specialised hospitals such as Venkateshwar Hospital Dwarka in DEL, Citizens Speciality Hospital in HYD and S.L.Raheja Hospital in BOM. Employees from various departments were examined by the respective medical teams of participating hospitals and conducted general tests such as ECG, Random Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Pulmonary Function Test, Bone Marrow Density and provided miscellaneous doctor consultation. At AISATS BLR, an Eye check-up camp was organised in association with Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital. Qualified optometrists conducted eye screening, computerized eye power check up, manual eye power check up and also gave health talk on eye care. The basic life support training aimed at increasing employees’ swiftness to provide the affected individual with first level of medication which can minimise the possible harm to the life. Page 9 | AISATS Staff Welfare AISATS DEL organises awareness program on Anti Tobacco Day AISATS DEL organized an awareness program on harmful impact of tobacco on the occasion of Anti-Tobacco day on 31st May 2018. A total of 3 sessions were conducted and all the participating employees were educated on the harmful effects of psychoactive substances and how an addict can reduce or quit the habit of smoking or chewing tobacco. Some of the participants even shared their encouraging personal experiences of quitting tobacco smoking. Ramp Dept: Ramp Special Handling AISATS BLR successfully transports Anacondas via its Air Freight Terminal On 28th April 2018, AISATS BLR received a special import shipment from Colombo, which arrived on Srilankan Airlines’ carrying two magnificent, 4-year-old, green Anacondas, weighing over 30 kgs in total, spanning 6 to 8 ft in length. This first-of-a-kind shipment was handled professionally by the import team at AISATS, who are well trained in live animal regulations and respective handling. Necessary permissions were arranged from customs and the team ensured that the shipment was handled safely and delivered in time.

He helped me to look for my parents-in-law by offering his personal cell phone to call them since I did not have a local SIM on my mobile. On 29th March 2018 there was a BHS (Baggage Handling System) failure on Singapore Airlines flight which resulted in a haphazard at various locations in the baggage make up area.
