Triathlon Championship 2023 organized by JSCR Raigarh: Jindal Steel Club-Raigarh (JSCR) organized Triathlon Championship 2023 in 4 categories of Boys, Girls, Ladies & Gents. The event included Swimming, Bicycling and Running in one race. In the Boys group (Age 12 to 16) Ankit Mishra secured first position, Mohit Singh Rathi & Ravi Narayan Tiwari were second and third respectively. In Boys Group (Age 16 to 22), Asad Ali was first, Nitish Sharma second and Vinayak Pandey secured third position. In Girls Group (Age 12 to 16) Kanak Maheshwari, Anjali Jha & Ishita Singh were first, second & third respectively. In Girls (Age 16 to 22) Litika Swarnkar, Anugrah Dan & Shivani Pandey stood first, second and third. In Ladies category Chandrakanta Swarnkar stood first, Karishma Pal second and Urvashi Lal third. In Gents category Aryan Singh secured first position. Md. Ashraf won second and Yashwant Kumar Dewangan third. All the winners were awarded. Jindal | July, 2023 | 51

Mandir Pratistha Divas of Nilakantheswar Mahadev Tensa: On 20th June people of JSP-Tensa were blessed on the occasion of Nilakantheswar Mahadev Mandir Pratistha Divas. The occasion created an auspicious enviroment and all the devotees of Tensa surrendered themselves to Mahadev. The celebration was followed by Puspanjali and prasad sevan. Mandir Sthapana Diwas at JPL Tamnar: A grand celebration was held on the occasion of Mandir Sthapana Divas at the temple premises of Savitri Nagar on 24 June. The sacred event marks the celebration of installation and consecration of the deities in the temple, infusing divine energy and sanctity into the place of worship. JSP Foundation Supports Grassroot Hockey Bhubaneswar: JSP Foundation in collaboration with Dilip Singh Tirkey Sports Research and Development Foundation (DTSRDF) supports an initiatives “One Step Ahead” to promote Grassroot Hockey at Sundergarh district in Odisha inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Naveen Patnaik. The program aims at nurturing budding Hockey Talents. The program was held at Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium-Raurkela, which was attended by 60 | Jindal | July 2023

many top dignitaries including top ministers of the state. Hon’ble Chairman of JSP Sh. Naveen Jindal in his messages reiterated commitment to support grassroot hockey and transform the initiative as a movement to build the future of Hockey. More than 5000 players under the age of 15 years from 215 villages joined the programme. In her message Smt. Shallu Jindal said, “Odisha Hockey would go a long way if children are provided with proper training and other necessary learning environment to play at the right age.” She too reiterated her commitment to nurture young hockey talents. World environment day celebrated in nearby villages Raigarh: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the team of JSP Foundation along with local public representatives and villagers planted saplings in nearby villages. Villagers take oath to nurture the saplings and demotivate use of plastic to save the environment. A painting and quiz competition was organized on the theme of environment for the students of the villages surrounding the plant by EMD department. World Environment Day Celebration at OPJCC Punjipathra: World Environment Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at OP Jindal Community College. A painting competition was organized for the students of the institute on the occasion.Aspecial camp was also organized for awareness regarding minimizing the use of plastic. Saplings were planted by the students in college campus. The Principal of the institute Mr. Alok Kumar Jha motivated students to desist from the use of plastic. 62 | Jindal | July 2023

World Environment Day at Angul Angul: With the slogan “Beat Plastic Pollution” World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2023 at plant vicinity villages of Angul. On this day, a plantation drive was organized in which 28000 horticulture and agroforestry plants were distributed to the villagers in partnership with village committees, and school management committees. Plantation, awareness campaigns, and theme-based discussions were conducted during the event. OPJS celebrates Environment Day Tamnar: World Environment Day was celebrated at OPJS, Taraimal for minimizing resource consumption, creating greener models, safeguarding wild species, and taking action to prevent the growing strain on planet Earth. Environment Awareness Rally Tamnar: JSP Foundation organized an Environment Awareness Rally at Savitri Nagar Colony at JPL-Tamnar and the EMD coordinated a mass plantation campaign near Security Barrack. The program was graced by JPL Chairman Mr. AK Jha. Environment awareness program & drawing competition were organized at Govt. Higher Secondary school- Kunjemura, Dhaurabhanta, Mahloi, Adarsh Gramaya Bharti Amgaon, Govt. Middle School –Jharna & Sarasmal & Kasdol and CLC Rabo in which more than 100 people participated. High Risk Pregnancy check up Tamnar: To reduce IMR & MMR, Vatslaya program is being executed in 44 operational villages of Tamnar. Under the Vatsalaya project 46 Swasthya Sangini is working to ensure safe motherhood and child care. To counsel and ensure better health of high risk mother a special camp organized on 17th and 24th June-23 at OPJHRC- Tamnar. 64 | Jindal | July 2023

Jindal Sports Hostel Inaugurated Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Shri Naveen Jindal and Chairperson of JSP Foundation Smt. Shallu Jindal inaugurated Jindal Sports Hostel at Barbil in Keonjhar District of Odisha on 9th July 2023 to promote rural sports talents. The hostel, the first of its kind in the state, established by JSP Foundation, the social arm of Jindal Steel & Power, will provide state of the art residential facilities to 60 Children selected with sporting prowess to excel in sports and education. 31 Gold and 4 Bronze Medals to Wushu Players Bhubaneswar: JSPFoundation has been supporting and promoting youths of Keonjhar district to play Wushu sports, a form of martial arts. The Foundation in association with Odisha State Wushu Association has been patronizing the Keonjhar District Wushu Team for over a decade. The foundation creates all infrastructural facilities like the development of training centres, training facility by national level coaches, food & nutrition, and clothing & conveyance for the players. During the past years, JSP Foundation groomed Babulu and Manju Munda have bagged Silver and Gold medals in International Wushu Tournaments in Brazil, Brunei, and Moscow respectively. Recently, in June 2023, 38 Wushu players from Barbil participated in the 29th Odisha State Wushu Championship at Biju Pattnaik Indoor Stadium, Angul from 9th June 2023 to 11th June 2023. In this grand event, 31 Gold Medals and 4 Bronze Medals were grabbed by Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior Teams facilitated by JSP Foundation. Mr. Rajesh Munda received the Best Fighter Award and Ms. Swetarani Mohanta received Odisha’s Athlete of the Year in Wushu. 66 | Jindal | July 2023

National Truckers Eye Health Programme Angul: With an objective to reach out to truck drivers and provide them with primary eye health services, the Project National Truckers Eye Health Programme has been initiated at the Transport Nagar-JSP Campus, Angul in partnership with Sight saver India. The project focuses on more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable eye health services to minimize road accidents caused by Truckers. Over 6000 truck drivers are benefitted from this service. Eye Health Checkup Patratu: JSP Foundation-Patratu & Sight Savers International NGO jointly conducted Eye Health checkup program at JSP Campus. Total 87 patients benefitted from the program. Detailed information for free cataract operation by District Health Department with assistance from Sight savers was also shared to Participants. Jindal | July, 2023 | 67

Puri Rathyatra: Food Distributed Angul: JSP Foundation served hot cooked food, chilled drinking water, and glucose packets to the devotees during Puri Rathyatra. Under the guidance of its Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal, JSP Foundation provided freshly cooked food, chilled drinking water, and glucose packets to devotees from Netrotsav Day on June 19 to Sunabesha Day on June 29. Under its Mission Zero Hunger program, the foundation served 10,53,927 hot-cooked meals to the devotees. Apart from these services, the Foundation has provided 5000 packets of glucose, 700 raincoats, and 70 FRP toilets to the district administration for Car Festival. Boundary Wall Completed Punjipathra: The boundary wall of Government School of Punjipathra village was completed as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 68 | Jindal | July 2023

Kishori Express at Patratu Patratu: As part of anemia control program amongst the adolescent girls, JSP Foundation has covered 1334 adolescent girls of Patratu Block through 33 Kishore Express camps in June 2023. Awareness on personal hygiene and life skill, digital haemometer, Sanitary napkin, Iron Centric Seed kit and brochures on awareness on anemia, potential hazards of low hemoglobin, prevention measures were discussed in the camp. OPJS organised Orientation programs for Teachers & Students Angul: O.P. Jindal School, Angul recently conducted orientation programs aimed at enriching the skills of students, teachers, and parents. The discussions centred at practical strategies for behaviour management, lesson planning, differentiation, student engagement, and overall growth for educators. During the event, the school Principal shed light on upcoming development plans which include yoga classes, school canteen, Brain Gym activities, personality development programs for students and staff, and coaching opportunities for students. Felicitation Ceremony at OPJS Angul: O.P. Jindal School in Angul organised the ‘Felicitation 2023’ ceremony on 17th June to honour the top achievers in AISSE and AISSCE. On this occasion, 18 students of Class XII (from Science and Commerce) and 7 students from Class X were felicitated along with their parents. World Sickle Cell Day Tamnar: On the occasion of World Sickle Cell Day on June 19th JSP Foundation initiated special project to care & support Sickle Cell Anemia patients. The program was graced by Chief Medical Officer –Raigarh Dr. Madhulika Singh Thakur in presence of CMO JPL Dr. U.K Patti & MO Dr. Ashwani Patel. A health check-up & treatment camp was organized for sickle cell patients at OPJHRC – Tamnar in which 60 Sickle cell anemia patients were tested and counselled. 70 | Jindal | July 2023

Hon’ble President Briefed on Services to Birhor Community Patratu: Plant Head of JSP- Patratu Mr. RK Ajmeria met & briefed Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murumu on services to Birhor tribal community by JSP Foundation at Patratu. He also detailed about Mission Zero Hunger and other Health & Education Initiatives of the Foundation under the guidance of Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal. During the meeting Hon’ble President shared a memory on meeting with Sh. Naveen Jindal at Ranchi during the dedication ceremony of the monumental flag at Ranchi war memorial. Vegetable Cultivation Patratu: JSP Foundation- Patratu and Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society initiated vegetable cultivation program with the women farmers linked with Farmers Producers Organization. Total 254 women farmers were provided with the support to maximize their family income by Suppling quality production inputs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. and Field support & trainings by Birsa Munda Agriculture University, Ranchi. Workshop on Women’s Health Raigarh: Improving access to health and sanitation and adequate hygiene facilities on the domestic front and at the workplace stands as a major challenge for rural women. Menstrual health is a critical aspect of women’s overall health and well-being, yet it remains a taboo topic in many parts of India. In consideration of it, a workshop on Women’s Health and Hygiene was organised by O.P. Jindal University in which over 50 women from nearby places attended the workshop and were provided with free sanitary napkins. Jute Bag making training Tamnar: To establish micro enterprises in villages and make women self-reliant 15 days Jute Bag Training organized in June at village –Jharadeeh- Tapranga Gare IV/1 mines area villages. The training was funded by NABARD under MEDP Program. 72 | Jindal | July 2023

Innovation Ranking 2023 to OPJU Raigarh: OP Jindal University-Raigarh has achieved a remarkable position in the recently announced “NIRF-Innovation Ranking 2023” by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NIRF ranking is released by the Ministry of Education every year. The ranking recognizes educational institutions and universities based on their innovation-related activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship courses, patents, startups and MoUs. Blood Donation camp Tamnar: World Blood Donor Day was celebrated on 14th June for awareness and ensure availability of safe blood and blood products. The day is also an occasion to thank voluntary blood donors. On the occasion Blood Donation camp organized at OPJHRC – Tamnar, in which 20 unit blood donated by the volunteers. Blood Donation Camp Raigarh: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, blood donation camps were organized at 3 different places by the Blood Center of Fortis- O.P. Jindal Hospital & Research Center-Raigarh. First camp was organized at Fortis- O.P. Jindal Blood bank, Raigarh in which 19 units of blood were donated in collaboration with the hospital and Jindal Steel and Power. Second camp was organized at FOPJHRC Tamnar in which 20 units of blood were donated by the JPL employees. Third camp was organized in collaboration with RKM Powergen Pvt. Ltd. In which 57 units of blood were donated by the employees of the plant. At the end all the blood donors were honored by giving appreciation letters and mementos. 74 | Jindal | July 2023

Session on Healthy Diet and Life Style for Women Raigarh: A session on healthy Diet and life style was organized at JSP Raigarh for female employees and spouses at Multi-Purpose hall at Guest House by Dietician Shilpa Khatri. The purpose of the session was to spread awareness about healthy and correct diet/food. The session was attended by female employees and spouses. Medical Camp Punjipathra: A General Health Checkup camp was organized for the nearby villagers (Tumhidih, Punjipathra and Samaruma) at Medical Aid Post, Punjipathra. 59 villagers (Ladies, Children, Sr. Citizens) took the benefit of the camp. Raja Utsav Celebration at Angul Angul: Raja, an agrarian festival in Odisha, symbolizes Mother Earth’s readiness for fecundity with the arrival of the monsoon. It has a lot of cultural importance and is observed with a lot of merry-making in traditional ways. Women and girls are the centre of this cultural event which lasts for 4 days. JSP Foundation observed Raja Utsav with the Villagers of Benagadia, Majhika, Bedasar, Ramadiha, Kaliakata, Natada, and Bhubanpur Decorated swings, specially designed sporting events for girls & women and several ethnic delicacies were part of the celebration of Rajo by the Villagers at a Common Platform. Sarapanch and Village leaders joined the Celebration on Villagers’ invitations and extolled the local culture. Over five thousand Villagers attended the Raja Utsav Programme and exhibited their artistic excellence in various games. 76 | Jindal | July 2023

Raja Festival Barbil: Raja festival was celebrated at Jindal Steel and power- Barbil with great enthusiasm and joy. On this day young girls and women engage in various traditional activities like swinging on decorated swings tied to tree branches. Folk Music, Dance and various Games played by employees and their family members. Sweets and Snacks like Poda Pitha for this special festival were enjoyed by all. Tensa: Raja Festival is a festival of Odisha celebrated every year on 14th June by the People of Odisha. Team Tensa celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm and joy. On this day ladies club performed various traditional activities like Playing Jhuli, Folk Music, Dance and various Games etc. Jindal | July, 2023 | 77
