We have captured the moments from ROTASIA 2018 participated by our District Rotarac-tors and have tried to let you all learn about the past of our RID 3250.DRR Vaibhav met the first ever DRR (then DG) Rtn. Ray Shivaji Nath Sir of DIST 3250 (then 326) and interviewedhim so that each and every rotaractor will be able to know the strong foundations of our Rotaract District Organisa-tion. Not only that I was glad to know that he was the one who released the first edition of our DNL “The Chain”.Apart from that we tried to contact and get to know the memories of our 25th DRR Rtn. Ajay Kumar Verma Sir too.Our Rotaractors are immensely excited for the District RYLA to be held in BODH GAYA from 16th to 19th March2018.Hope all of you have started packing your bags to experience the Fun - Filled days of RYLA. Rotaract not only empowered youthworldwide but also help us developing ourselves. It’s been 50 years of great service, connecting people, reaching unreachable,making leaders and serving the society. Since 1968, Rotaract has changed many lives and has touched souls. This year when weare celebrating the Golden Jubilee year, we must keep in mind that whatever we do this year, will always be remembered.So it is our duty to keep the flag of Rotaract flying high. I visited Rotaract Club of Buxar, Maurya Aurangabad, Biharsharif,Saran and Saran City. We did great community service projects in different clubs. WINS training of Buxar and Biharsharif wasamazing and well planned. I thank Presidents and members for taking such great initiatives and working actively towards thegoals given by District and RI. The dance competition conducted by RAC Maurya Aurangabad was just amazing and wellplanned. I thank the entire team of Aurangabad for bringing out the hidden talents of their city and giving them a proper plat-form. The inauguration of free computer training classes by RAC Saran is remarkable. Your effort to promote E learning and togive free education to the underprivileged is commendable. We did a talk show on the role of youth in social work on RadioMaurya 90.8 FM organized by RAC Saran City. This was a great initiative to promote Rotaract movement and to spread thegood work Rotaract has been doing since 1968. Must say that all the clubs has done amazing work and the best part is the in-volvement of Rotary in all the projects and activities. I thank all the sponsoring Rotary Presidents for taking Rotaract in a pori-tive way. I also express my sinciere gratitude to PDRR Rtn Shayam Sir, PDRR Rtn Sahil Sir, PDRR Rtn Ajay Verma Sir,PDRR Rtn. Parmeshwar Sir, PDG Rtn CM Singh Sir for their time and valuable guidance throughout the official visit and to-wards their sponsored Rotaract Clubs.We celebrated the first anniversary of iconic Roti Day project by Rotaract Club of Karim City Collage on Valentine’s Day. Imust say this was one of the best community service project done and the efforts put forward by the President Rtr Tasneem andmembers are overwhelming. Their dedication towards serving humanity and helping others is something every youth needs toadopt. I must recognize the founder of this noble project Rtr Syed Waliullah sir.We attended the Mahakumbh of Roataract “Rotasia 2018” at Pune last month. This time there was a massive gathering of 1000+Rotaractors all from 7 different countries. We rocked the stage in District Cultural performance and I thank Rtr Tasneem, RtrPrachi, Rtr Shekhar, and Rtr Rohit for keeping the flag of Rotaract 3250 high and delivering the best of Bihar and Jharkhand! Isincerely thank our District Secretary Rtr Hamza Hashmi for presenting the District Presentation in from of over 38 RI Districts!Really we all had a great and memorable time this year. Thanks to DRR Rtr Pratik, Chairman IPDRR Rtr Arjun and the entirecommittee of Rotasia Pune for giving us a wonderful and memorable time at Pune. Special thanks to our beloved PDRR RtnParmeshwar Mahto for your kind presence. Now I look forward to have a great number of delegates from our District in Rotasia2019, Goa!I got the opportunity to meet and interact with the First Rotaract Governor of our District Rtn Ray Shivji Nath sir in Patna. Hewas the Rotaract Governor in the year 1969-1970. He also hosted the first Rotaract District Conference in the year 1970! We have success-fully completed our 50 years of empowering youth and serving the society. The way you have conducted the OCV is reallyappreciable and the projects done during the visit was outstanding. I love the way your team conveyed the visit tomedia and such good numbers of publications were released.Last month was super amazing as we attended the Rotasia 2018 at Pune. More than 1000 delegates all from 7different countries participated in this mega Rotaract event. Where we were with RAC Kalimati to increase the efforts. On 11-02-18 did a old newspaper collection at “Baradwari, Sakchi”. On 14-02-18 Old age home visit at new Baradwari with our brother club RAC Kalimati to meet our Highly matured friends. We went there with some daily supply's. On 15-02-18 Orpanage visit with DRR and RAC Kalimati was one of the most memorable moment of the month, where we were able to spend time with God’s own children. On 19th and 20-02-18 two consecutive days we had birthdays of our two members.Shiva Swarnakar(19th Feb) and Ankita Singh(20th Feb). We celebrated Shiva’s Birthday at Jublee Park, Jamshedpur and Ankita’s Birthday at Our college’s campus. On 25-02-18 Participated and volunteered in Rotary’s mega event Walk -a-Thon. Club of Ranchi City On 25-02-18 RAC Ranchi City and RAC ICWAI jointly organised Holi Get-Together at Anchal Shishu Ashram where we celebrated holi with the children’s present there. President of Rotary Club Ranchi Rtn. Harminder Singh appreciated our work at their General Meeting at Rotary hall along with other clubs. On 04-02-18 the Medical Campaign – Bachi Dawai Bachayein which has been initiated as a new campaign by Rotaract Club of St. Xavier’s College Ranchi in collaboration of St. Xavier’s College has taken a step ahead. The schools where the boxes of campaign were supposed to be put have been added by three more names in the list - St. Assisi High School, St. Anne’s High School and JVM Shyamali. On 06-02-18 promoted their Mega Medicine Campaign – Bachi Dawai Bachayein, by setting up a stall for the Convocation Day of XavierUt- sav by collaborating with the College Committee under the guidance of Father Marcus Barla for providing First Aid to the person in need. Ro- taractors actively participated for the promotion and our ZRS Rtr. Ad- itya Kumar also witnessed the event. From 07-02-18 to 09-02-18 handed over the Stall installed for the St. Xavier’s College Fest to the people who wanted a stall for selling their handmade chocolates and cakes. Some amount of profit made by the stall was collected by the club for future charity use. Medical Cam- paign was also promoted by putting up the medicine box for display. On 15-02-18 actively volunteered and forwarded the Polio Drive con- ducted by our Parent Club - Rotary Club Ranchi. This polio drive was successfully organised and members of our club received certificates from Rotary Club Ranchi in presence of other clubs of Ranchi. From 15-02-18 to 21-02-18 installed a Recruitment Desk for the re- cruitment of new members into the club from 15th to 21st February 2018. Overwhelming response was received from the college students. A total of 135 forms for recruitment was sold and submitted to the club and all members actively participated in the management of the regis- tration for all the days. On 22-02-18 We distributed unused clothes so that the need of the poor may be fulfilled at some extent. By organising our Project JUGAAD collaborating it with the Charter Day, members did a noble work and felt happy for the exsistence of the club. It is because of the club that we got an opportunity to do something good for the society. From 26-02-18 to 28-02-18 did the Shiksha Project which is one of the initiative which was taken by the members at the very start of the club. In this project, members go to the adopted school of our club – Rajki- yakrit Madhyavidyalaya, Tharpakhna and teach students different subjects. The Interview Process was started from morning itself till 4:00 pm. The board had 4 panels for assessment and candidates were given their respective time slots for the interview. Members of the club actively participated for the management of Interview process for the whole day and a positive response was also received from the side of the candidates. Candidates were from different backgrounds and diversity of talent was seen in them whether it be dancing, singing, art or other field of talent. The whole Interview process was seemed to be fruitful and we hope for the best as these candidates will be the future of our club. On 25-02-18 had a get together with their members after conducting Interview process for whole day. The main objective of this get togeth- er was to further celebrate our club’s Charter Day by having fun activ- ities in the club so that members could interact more and more and build a strong team relationship which would benefit indiviually as well as a team. On 28-02-18 celebrated Holi festival with the children studying at our adopted school – Rajkiyakrit Madhyavidyalaya, Thapakhna. Gulaal was brought at the end of school timing and were distributed to the children, teachers as well as all the members. All of us coloured each other with lots of Gulaal and children were so happy that they actively participated in the play and also thanked us for making their day spe- cial. Club of Sindri From 19-02-18 to 23-02-18 organised our 53rd EYE RELIEF CAMP. In this EYE RELIEF CAMP we organised free check up and success- fully operated 63 cataract patients. Every year we organise the camp and we have been continuing this for last 52 years in continuous. Our only aim is to spread smiles among all, even smiling eyes. We received 220 registrations for eye check up and we operated 63 needy patients for cataract, rest were given medicines. Director of B.I.T SINDRI Dr. D.K SINGH appreciated us for the great hard work that we have put up and also motivated us for doing so in the future. We Rotaractors also pledged to continue the camp in the future. On 24-02-18 We organised a poster making competition. the theme was EYE RELIEF CAMP and awareness about cataract. The Chain | RID 3250 (Bihar & Jharkhand) | Issue - March 2018 Page No. 14 of 24 Rotaffair Club of Saran On 25-02-18 the occasion of Bihar Police Week, a 'Run For Peace' was organized by district administration, in which the Rotaract Club of Saran also participated. On 28-02-18 Rotaract Club of Saran Organized Holi Milan Sama- roh.We celebrated with the rickshaw pullers, street vendors etc. Club of Saran City On 05-02-18 organised a health camp at S K Public School and helped 127 students to know their Blood Group. On 11-02-18 supported the initiative by RAC Kalimati Jamshedpur on Plastic ban and organised a Cycle rally. On 25-02-18 participated in the “Run for Peace” programme of Sa- ran Police.PDRR Rtn Shyam Bihari Agarwal, Rtn Madan Prasad , Rtn Surendra Gupta and others were present. On 25-02-2018 our members participated in the RUN-O-THON at patna. On 25-02-2018 Jointly organised Saran Police Honour Ceremony with Mayur Kala Kendra & Radio Mayur, where dedicated police staffs were honoured by the SP. The Chain | RID 3250 (Bihar & Jharkhand) | Issue - March 2018 Page No. 15 of 24 Rotaffair Club of NIFFT From 25-01-18 to 17-02-18 we chose Female foeticide as the social cause for its annual cultural cum techno-management fest “JINKS PRANAV 2K18”. The students of NIFFT spread awareness on this social issue through nukkad-natak, where the students showed all the difficulty and complications faced by a woman or girl child in her life, also they showed the repercussions which the society would face if we continue the kill the girl child. On 24-02-18 the Rotaractors decided to arrange for a NGO conclave, where several NGOs came together to spread awareness for different issues. Several NGOs participated and discussed the course of action to be followed to eradicate the social evils. The event ended with vote of thanks by the president. On 25-02-18 a guest lecture was arranged. In this guest lecture, Atul Gera, Secretary, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation was invited to give the lecture. He spoke about blood donation camps and motivated students to a large extent not to only give blood but also to take up so- cial causes and help the society. On 25-02-18 arranged a Blood Donation Camp where many students and local people turn up to appreciate this social events by giving units of blood. Club of Social Revolution On 17-02-18 the members of the club decided to get a lady operated in the Kathergonda slum and decided to contribute money to her. A do- nation box has been set up in the college reception as well as online transfers are being accepted and all the money that will be collected will be donated to the lady. On 19-02-18 the club members Rtr. Beena, Rtr. Adarsh and Rtr. The Chain | RID 3250 (Bihar & Jharkhand) | Issue - March 2018 Page No. 16 of 24 Rotaffair Club of Damodar Valley  On 12-01-2018 we along with Rotary damodar valley celebrated National Youth day at Sarswati vidya mandir Ramgarh cantt by Lecture competition. The topic was “Vivekananda and 21st cen- tury India”.  On 14-01-2018 celebrated “Makar Sankranti” with the children of disable school at Lari. We fed them Dahi, Chura, Tilkut, Lai and many eatables item.We also ate with them in their campus. They were very happy having breakfast with us .  On 15-01-2018 visited “Onkar old age home” at Palu. Our Ro- taractor Amandeep singh cooked some tasty food for the old peo- ple who are living in the old age home.We also arrange “Jalawan” for the people because it was too cold.  On 21-01-2018 gave some utensils , fruits to the “Onkar old age home”.The peoples are living there were facing problem of uten- sils for cooking food. So we have decided to give some utensils over there.  On 26-01-2018 celebrated “Republic Day” in the campus of Ro- tary auditorium building.  On 28-01-2018 participated in polio eradication program ar- ranged Polio Drops at our adopted school “Sarna Avasiya Uchh vidyalay”.We also moved around the local village for polio aware- ness and gave door to door service with the slogan “Hamne mann me thana hai polio ko mitana hai”. 300 children's were benefited.  On 30-01-2018 organised Sadbhavna March with the slogan of “Hindu Muslim Sikh Isai aapas me hai bhai bhai” which is partic- ipated by people of different organization. This march is started from Subhas chowk and completed at Gandhi chowk. We spread Peace , Love and Ahinsa.  On 17-02-2018 organised road safety awareness camp at Subhash chowk . In this programme we gave Rose to those people who were driving bike without helmet and triple load. We requested to them to wear helmet while driving bike and avoid triple loading.  On 18-02-2018 we and EDUEXL jointly marched a rally around 5 km with the students of Eduexl. We cleaned Ambedkar Park, Gandhi statue nd also Ambedkar statue. After that we did Yoga over there. We gave the slogan “Clean India Green India’’ “Clean City Green City’’. We planned this function with family member and we organised many competition for families recreation. Club of Jain College  On 28-02-2018 we the Rotaractors of Jain college Jamshedpur celebrated HOLI in our college campus. The event was fun filled with tons of colours/DJ/Rain Dance/Live Dhol/Fun Games/Selfie Booth Food and Beverages and much more. We started this event by putting “Gullal” on our teaching staff feet and taken their blessings. Club of ICWAI On 17-02-2018 club organised a kindness act campaign. We found that the requirements of clothes are most in the \"Ghuriya Basti\", so we decided to appreciate their wish and fulfil their needs according to our potential. On 04-02-2018 the account of World Cancer Day, the Park Street of Jamshedpur was covered with people in Pink. We encouraged people around us to answer the Cancer, by fighting the fullest with their strong will power, good food habits were suggested and the myths of getting affected by this disease was removed from hearts. We also visited Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital, a hospital providing treatment for cancer patients. On 04-02-2018 a blood donation was organised by “Mitra Healthy Humanity” at Khas Mahal. In this camp, Rotaractors of Rotaract Club of Kalimati Jamshedpur participated and assisted them in their work, arranged few donors and promoted Mahadan 3.0. On 05-02-2018 took the initiative to take the \"ECHO\" classes in our adopted school. Rtr. Amandeep Singh Jassal took the mathematics classes today of classes 7 and 8. On 06-02-2018 International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation which is observed to protest the taboos and kill the myths of people which directs them to alter or injure juvenile female genitals (aged 0-15) for non-medical reasons. On 06-02-2018 went for door-to-door Newspaper Collection and completed its monthly project. We collected around 15 kg of papers among which 80% were donated to the NGOs who will be manufac- turing paper bags. And rest 20% were turned into cash for the club fund. On 07-02-2018 celebrated “Rose Day” with less fortunate. We felici- tated cobblers, rickshaw pullers and roadside vendors with rose. On 08-02-2018 Under our project “ECHO”, Rtr. Vivek Shukla and Rtr. Abhinay Bharti took the Computer classes today of classes 7 and 8. On 09-02-2018 celebrated Chocolate Day, distributed chocolate and happiness to the children of underprivileged area On 09-02-2018 two Rotaractors of The Rotaract Club of Kalimati Jamshedpur taught in their adopted school. On 10-02-2018 Jamshedpur took the initiative to take the \"DANCE\" classes in our adopted school. We collected around 18 kg of papers which was turned into cash for upcoming club’s projects. On 12-02-2018 constituted its Interdistrict Sister Club Agreement. This time the club associated was RAC Tollygunge, RID 3291. On 13-02-2018 Paying due respect to the \"Nightingale of India” We celebrated the 139th Birth Anniversary of Late Sarojini Naidu. On 14-02-2018 once again paid a visit to Old Age Home. This monthly Visit has become a beautiful practice for members to hon- our the old grandparents and seek their countless blessings. On 15-02-2018 was luckily accompanied by the DRR of District 3250, Rtr Vaibhav Thakur for the orphanage visit. The little ones giggled and played in the arms of DRR Sir and the members too enjoyed in the lovely atmosphere. The Members beautifully enjoyed the festival and made every soul happy. On 28-02-2018 feed up some stray animals loitering with hungry stomach on streets. On 28-02-2018 executed its monthly habit of hand washing in a nearby school.
