SPECTRUM Roobaroo There are a lot of inhibitions before one actually enters into a B-school. It is necessary for the coming batch to get their queries resolved from their seniors on a more personal and informal platform. In a quest to continue the tradition of holding a pan-India senior junior meet before welcoming the new batch to college, the official Admissions Committee of SIMSR aka ADCOM left no stone unturned to turn this initiative into a hit this year as well. In order to transform this effort of organizing Senior-Junior meet across India in different cities into a success, the committee named it as Roobaroo along with naming each city meet in a unique and fun manner. These city meets happened on 1st June 2014 in 12 cities viz. Interactions between Senior - Junior Pan-India organised by Admissions Committee Ahmedabad - Renegades of Rann, Bengaluru - Bengaluru Blasters, Bhuvaneshwar - Kalinga Fighters, Chandigarh - Sher-e-Punjab, Delhi - Dilli ke Dilwale, Hyderabad - Hyderabad Nizams, Jamshedpur - Jamshedpur Titans, Kolkata - Kolkata Addas, Lucknow - Lucknow Nawabs, Mumbai - Mumbai Mavericks Patna - Patna ki Paltan, and Pune - Pune Warriors. The seniors while on their summer internship locations took out time to meet their juniors. Alumni were also present to guide and meet the incoming batch. All the queries regarding placements, places to visit, mess food, hostel accommodation, lectures, committees, events and SIMSR were covered through this activity. The newly admitted excited, curious and confused students met their seniors in different cities and interacted with the seniors from their cities, backgrounds and culturally similar places and course specializations on a personal level. To sum it all, Roobaroo'14 was a huge success.
