mga natutunan ni Kyla Marie M, Perez We are all surrounded by different people around us. Among these many of them give us some beautiful lessons in life and thus become inspirational figures for us. Rizal made me realize that a great leadership doesn’t revolve all over violence and cruelty but it can achieve through intelligence and proper way of leading that involves peace and tranquility. With the idea of good leadership that Rizal has bequeathed to us, I, myself can be an agent for social change. Sometimes people just need a little inspiration in their lives to realize their goals and aspirations. I want to become that inspirational leader to them just like our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

mga natutunan ni Carmella Angelou A. Reyes “Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in your life; it’s about what you inspire others to do.” This quotation from an unknown author definitely fits Rizal's life and experiences when he is still alive. As I have gained enough knowledge about Rizal, he really gives an impact to my life, he became an inspiration to others especially to me as I have witnessed from the discussion that even though there are a lot of admirable heroes who have existed, Rizal still stands out. The most important learning that I have learned in Life and Works of Rizal are those difficulties and achievements of Dr. Jose Rizal during his era. Knowing that Rizal has made a lot not only for himself and the people around him but also for the country. All those achievements that he had and the difficulties that he surpassed is an important learning that I will treasure as I take my journey. For me, getting to know more about Jose Rizal will help people to be inspired and to do the same thing like what Rizal does. As a student who is aiming for success and a lot of achievement and still doesn’t know what path to take even though I am one step closer to my dream, being aware of Rizal’s achievement and all his hardships can be a guide for a person like me who are still confused about life and the life in future. Rizal took a lot of courses, he excelled in his school, he made famous books and writing, he fought for the country and a lot more. Every success in Rizal’s life is endless. In fact, everything that has been discussed about Jose Rizal is important, all those learnings can also be a life lesson. Jose Rizal said, “Youth is the hope of our future.” If Rizal can and did a great job during his existence, everyone can also be like him. He changed our country and now it’s time for us to create change and challenge ourselves to be the real hope of the future.

mga natutunan ni Kyla Sales “Freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere. Our support goes to those who struggle to gain those rights or keep them. Our strength is our unity of purpose. To that high concept, there can be no end save victory.” This quotation from Franklin D. Roosevelt definitely fits Jose Rizal’s experiences when he showed and made us feel how brave he was to fight for our country. For me the life of Jose Rizal was truly inspiring. We can say that he is a fighter and a strong person. I learned that we should learn how to fight for our rights and freedom. Like Dr. Jose Rizal he used a peaceful framework just to fight for our equality and freedom, like him we can also do it in our own ways, there are many ways to fight for those we are fighting for that when we know in ourselves that what we are fighting for is right we must be strong and resilient. I also learned that I need to become a kind person and not only think about ourselves but also to always think about others. Everyone has the right to stand up and defend their opinions especially if there are people who are affected.

mga natutunan ni Andrea C. Sulit Rizal has a lot of lessons to teach us. His courage and patriotism inspire us to believe that there is always hope. Hope is vital in our lives; without it, you are unable to believe in yourself. Believing in yourself is what allows every one of us to see that there is hope. Many individuals have wondered why Dr. Jose Rizal was regarded as a national hero throughout history. Some individuals believe that there are heroes in our country who might be declared national heroes because they perished in battle. People wonder if Dr. Rizal is still battling. Yes, he was battling the Spaniards at the time, although not in combat, but by producing novels and newspapers. His entire body of work focused on how Spain governed our country. His works taught us Filipinos that this is our nation and that we have the right to be free. There were many revolutions at the time, and many of our compatriots died in the conflict. Nothing, however, can prevent us from achieving the freedom we desire. They never lose hope, even though they know they will die. Hopes helps us rediscover our inner power. If you want something to happen in your life, don't give up, don't surrender, and don't lose hope all the time. That is one of the secrets to your long-term success.

mga natutunan ni Angelica R. Tejada If Rizal conquers his insecurities and becomes a multi-talented person and a great polymath as he is, then I could be a person whom I wanted to be too. It is just one among the numerous things I learned in Life and Works of Rizal, that change lies in your choice as a human. What one might be in the future lies in one’s hand. Truly, I did not only learn from this course, but I also got inspired with Rizal’s story, that despite his physicality that is not deemed as standard, he strives and continually looks for ways to be better. It has become his choice to really prove that he is capable and now, he excels in many different fields may it be art, medicine, literature, languages, and many others. He basically dedicated a significant amount of time to improving himself through education. As for me, it made me realize that I should really make use of my time to do things that could improve myself, especially now that I’m still young. Only with that, could I grow a better version of myself just like Rizal who did not let his weakness define him and who never ceased on learning to establish himself. Rizal serves as a mirror to young people like me to develop what we have and to whom we could imitate and reflect into. That everything is possible, you just have to start believing that you can do it, and I believe that it’s one of the most important things I learned from this course. To never settle for mediocrity, instead strive for excellence. At this point, I’m still in the process of fulfilling my dreams, even if it’s little by little, I’m exploring what I really love to do. It has come to the point that ‘no to monotony’ has become my mantra. Give yourself time, and you’ll later be something beautiful like a butterfly.

mga natutunan ni Paulyn Vilches The most important thing that I’ve learned in Life and Works of Rizal is that education really is the key to success. No one can defeat a person who is knowledgeable enough that he/she is able to avoid being deceived and to free themselves from dominance. Also, select the appropriate career path despite the numerous challenges that may make you doubt yourself; just keep going. Since the beginning of the semester, I've been fascinated by this topic ever since we learnt about Jose Rizal as our national hero. I've always wondered why some people argue that he shouldn't be our hero, perhaps because he only published a book and then died. But for me, Rizal deserved to be our hero because he is the only hero that really cares not only from the past but up to present and future generations. That is why we are currently studying his life and work. He is the only hero who honestly believes that young people are the nation's hope, and I totally agree with him. Lastly, I’ve learned to love our nation, our countrymen, and, above all, our God even more. It was an enjoyable and inspirational journey. I had the impression that we were transported back in time to the period of Rizal. All of the things we've learned should not only be remembered in our hearts and minds, but also be put into action.

3 pagtindig bilang si rizal

Pagtindig ni Bb. Maureen Abanilla bilang si Rizal Dr. Jose Rizal is the best, he is intelligent and hardworking. He fights for our freedom, Rizal never chooses herself first, and he does what the best for us. We can be a hero also, in the simplest way, help others without expecting any favor from them, and be brave to tell the truth and Learn good things from other heroes. Listening to what others opinion show respect. Also give care about others feelings, and don’t forget to maintain ‘PEACE, LOVE AND JOY’.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Jannah Jazmine Aguila bilang si Rizal I may not be able to let my blood flow out of thy veins. I may not be able to let myself get shot for a huge change. I may not be able to write novels to start a revolutionary movement. But I, I can be like Rizal. A modern day Rizal. Being a hero does not require huge steps in an instant. Being a hero begins on how you look onto yourself. I can be a Modern day Rizal by searching the courage within me. To stand for what I think is right, and share it. Being a hero begins on yourself and not on what you do unto others. I can be a Modern day Rizal by having the strength to believe on myself that I am brave to stand, and brave enough, to soon, influence other people.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Joan Alamag bilang si Rizal I can be like Rizal in modern day by not forgetting what he said which the youth is the hope of our future. As a Filipino I should do things that help to justify about the youth, youth should value the education with determination to continue with goals. Without goals in life it will be miserable, knowing our goals will make our life easier because I already know what I want and I already know what should be needed to prioritize first. Also most important to be like Rizal is that I am religious person which I believe in god. I also believe that in god nothing is impossible just have hope on everything because I believe god have always reason why is it happening to us. For me, Rizal is my idol he shows us that we can still fight without force and aggression he fought for freedom in a silent but powerful way and that will leave us that we can still depend ourselves with the help to showed qualities of intelligence, courageousness, and determination to fight and to rise up against obstacles that will come for me. Lastly I can be like Rizal by being a hero without having a title of HERO. I believe that everyone can be a hero like doing things to inspire other people, bravery to conquer circumstances, willingness to protect others and self-sacrificing those are things that I can be hero by myself.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Cristel Johanne Antenor bilang si Rizal Rizal fought for our country through his works and words, he uses peace over violence, and if Rizal was able to do it before during the times where we are chained by the power of Spaniards, I believe that in this modern world we are capable of doing it too. If I will be Rizal in the modern day, I will use my voice and my words to encourage everyone to fight for their dreams, to achieve their goals that there'll never be a solution to give up, to stop achieving our dreams. Everyone is experiencing a battle through their lives, but if we believe that those battles will end, we will be able to pass through it.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Jennelyn Asi bilang si Rizal The current events appear to be what has likely happened in the past. Today, as a student and a citizen of this country, I am fighting for our future in the same way that Rizal fought hard for the stolen power of Filipinos in his time. Just like the people in the past, we are currently opposed to giving the power to yet again another possible dictator. By voting for a deserving and qualified presidential candidate, this is my/our way to stand up for our country. With this by smartly picking a candidate that will best suit the job and will most likely the one that will love our country deeply, we are fighting. A fight that did not require to shed any blood. We refused to give them another chance to reign in our beloved country. Although we did not truly win, at least we knew to ourselves that we fought for our future and the future of our country. Furthermore, Rizal emphasized the importance of education. He pointed out that being educated leads to endless possibilities and solutions to any problems that may occur. I trust in his words and will continue to educate myself and gain more knowledge about everything that can help our society, our country, other people and our world. I will be keeping my eyes open with what is currently happening and will always be aware as a human being since awareness is the start of everything.

Pagtindig ni G. Jacob Emmanuel Barredo bilang si Rizal Rizal has proven time and time again that his influence has exceeded the restrictions of time. I too, want to spread my influence, not only to my fellow students, but to everyone in the community, through my dedication for service and leadership. Although it is practically impossible to replicate the influence of Rizal, I desire to become influential to my fellow students, student-leaders, tourism community, and family, through my works and achievements. To be able to inspire others and take part in building their character as they make their way through life, will be such an honor for me. Knowing that I made an impact in their lives, that I was one of the reasons for their improvement, would cause me much joy and fulfillment in knowing that my hard work payed off, and that I became someone like Rizal, in a small but very fulfilling way.

Pagtindig ni G. Josh Eddievhen Czire Bragas bilang si Rizal By being aware of the social issues that the country faces today, I can be a modern-day Rizal. Since the social media is known far and wide, and almost everyone is an audience, forging ahead in the most simple ways that I can, such as spreading news that speaks of truth and not misinformation that can manipulate the logic of people around me, can be one of how I can be of help. We all know that Rizal deeds signify truth, expecially his writings specifically the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which denounced the abuses of spanish colonialism and the catholic church in our country. Thus, We, the intelligent youth which Rizal has mentioned, oath to speak always truth, because if we continue speak recklessly without criticizing and filtering, it would make ours and other future miserable.

Pagtindig ni G. Reymundo M. Cantos Jr. bilang si Rizal Rizal has been instrumental in the Filipino’s bid towards independence and several developments in various sectors. Rizal also made contributions to Philippine art, literature, and medicine, which continues to fascinate his countrymen today. Rizal’s love for the Philippines was evident in nearly all his actions. He was eventually named a national hero because of his efforts, especially his peaceful approach to demanding political reform from the oppressive Spanish rule. So If I were given the chance to be Rizal in our modern day, I will do the same thing as he did to our country. Fighting for peace without violence. Leaving with legacy as Rizal remembered today throughout the Philippines for his brilliance, courage, peaceful resistance to tyranny, and compassion. Filipino schoolchildren study his final literary work, a poem called \"Mi Ultimo Adios\" (\"My Last Goodbye\"), and his two famous novels.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Kelsie Raine Casenas bilang si Rizal As a Filipino, it is important to recognize the different ideas and techniques of Rizal up to the present condition and situation of our society. (1) At first, I must say that Patriotism was the main thing that we need to considered being a Filipino. Nowadays, being “makabayan” was not totally applied due to some foreign invasion. Importing and exporting product was just a normal transaction of one country to another but we need to “tangkilikin and sariling atin” before prioritizing other. Jose Rizal shows fidelity and faithfulness to our country even though we travels from different country he never forget where he came from. (2) He has also the Courage to achieve what he’s fighting for. He used his skills and knowledge through writing to awakened the mind and soul of our fellow Filipinos who became slave of fear and injustices. He used his dignity for the freedom of our country. (3) Lastly, Rizal for being such an Innocent guy because he used silent in such a powerful way. He was not afraid to offer his life for his country men. As a youth, I must also do my part to contribute even a simple act of kindness to every one and continue to inspiring people in my own way. In our current situation, it is not required to “magpakamatay” just to be said that you’re a hero. For me, last election I became a hero because I do my responsibility to sacrifice my time to vote and examine who were the “karapatdapat”. Having moral integrity and to have full awareness on what’s going on in our country is essential. Therefore, the government can hear us and make some move to improve the downfall of our economy.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Ericka Mae Castillo bilang si Rizal We as a youth and served as the hope for our future shall be inspired by Rizal’s life and to emulate his beliefs in order for us to be true agents of change for a better Philippines. We should always be the youth that is ready to help and fight for the rights of everybody even in the simplest way. By that, we could wholeheartedly say that we are becoming like Rizal in this modern period even though no one could ever replace him as the national treasure of the country. The life and works of Rizal particularly the mind of youth should be suffused and all educational institutions are under the supervision of and subject to regulation by the state, and all schools are enjoined to develop moral character. The greatness of Rizal, as well as his intense love for his country and people, could only be fully appreciated by the Filipinos if they would have adequate knowledge about his sufferings and injustices. His writings would open the minds of the Filipinos to the ruthless effects of colonization. By exposing the Filipino youth to the ideas of Rizal, they would be able to learn how to live the Rizal way that is characterized by a strong love for the country and a strong desire to build a great nation. Sen. Laurel firmly believes that “The teaching and reading of the novels of Rizal should be made into law so that, through their knowledge and understanding of the hero’s works, they would acquire a torch to guide them when the country would experience another period of peril or darkness.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Marianne Joy Catibog bilang si Rizal Being a hero is not along with the sword and blood, it also comes with our mind and heart. As a Filipino we can be a hero in so many ways but for me, I can be a hero by helping my community and helping the animals on the streets. I want to come up with a program in our community that can help poor dogs and cats who have nowhere to go because I believe that just like humans they also need care and love from others, beacuse I knew that they love the life they have. As a youth and as a person I want to imitate what rizal did, he became a hero through his knowledge, ability and love to his fellow countrymen and through paper and pen he was able to save and guve peace to our country and he was able to fight the freedom that we have now, he has shown his love to every Filipino by sacrificing his own life for the better future of all Filipino, just like him I want to used my knowledge and skills to help animals not just animals but also the people who need help.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Irene Corpuz bilang si Rizal Nowadays, there is so much hate and toxicity in the generation that we are in. Many individuals are cancelling people or getting cancelled by society, and many are getting bullied and bashed, particularly on social media. As a result, many people are now experiencing mental health problems. It is heartbreaking to see people fighting and attacking each other on social media, and what saddens me more is that many individuals are taking their own lives because they can't handle it any more. Witnessing what is happening right now makes me wonder what I can do to help the people who have become victims. I want to be a modern-day Rizal who helps individuals who are suffering from mental health problems and brings hope to them. It is not easy to be in their position, but I want to remind them that this, too, shall pass. All of their mental suffering and difficulties were only a phase, and they are not defined by them. I also want to help them by sharing the word of God, because His word will give hope and comfort to those people who are suffering from mental health problems. Like Rizal, who has a personal relationship with God, I want to encourage others, particularly young people, to develop a personal relationship with God. I pray that our nation's faith in God grows and that our nation turns to Christ.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Alexa Ross De Leon bilang si Rizal No one can ever replace Rizal's unwavering dedication to our country. But, if I am to be the right modern Rizal, I must pursue what he did for so many Filipino lives. Fighting intelligently and leaving a good legacy for future generations was very impressive, as was his previous work. I will choose to fight for the truth regardless of how many are persecuting me. Despite the fact that he lost his own life, it was a victory for him and many others. I'm not saying I'll give up my life for the sake of many others, but my point is that my victory is the victory of all.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Jairha De Leon bilang si Rizal A hero symbolizes goodness. Rizal gave us freedom by using goodness. Jose Rizal became the Philippine national hero because he fought for freedom in an exceedingly silent but powerful way. I want to live and further serve the Filipinos as I am fortunate that we live in a time where we are free. Just like Rizal who never stopped learning and achieving new milestones, expressed his love for the Philippines through his novels, essays and articles instead of through the utilization of force or aggression. He was an awfully amazing person at his time. He was humble, fighting for reforms through his writings rather than through a revolution. He used his intelligence, talents and skills in an exceedingly more peaceful way instead of the aggressive way. He was genuinely concerned about the country's long-term prospects. And lastly, he was able to demonstrate to his fellow Filipinos and the rest of the world what they were capable of. I don’t want to be stuck in the same old cycle and pattern, no matter how convenient it might be, I will never stop creating new ideas and bringing them to life to support people in taking action for their personal goals and career. Rizal demonstrated that the Filipino could achieve anything by becoming a novelist, engineer, writer, and so on. If I will be like Rizal in modern day, I will use my own strength to fight for our country. We should believe in ourselves that we can. With that, if I will be like Rizal in a modern day, the only way I can do that is to express our love for our country. As Filipinos, we must be patriotic in the sense that we must support or be proud of what our country can do. Following the laws of the government is also a simple method for us to show our love for our country. We should listen to others' ideas and perspectives with respect. I believe that, in one way or another, I am the present- day Rizal. Amidst all of the obstacles I will still pursue the fulfillment of my dreams.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Cristel Joy Decepeda bilang si Rizal Rizal is an ordinary man, doing extraordinary things and just like us we are all ordinary people but we can all do extraordinary things to show love and to fight for our country. In fact, we don't have to go to great lengths to show your unconditional love for your country. Whatever political preferences and perspectives we hold, whatever religion we practice, regardless of our gender, age, social status, or lifestyle. Every day is a great chance to showcase our affection for our country, such as through action. There are lots of instances where I can proudly say that I love our country. As we all know, patriotism is the love of one's nation. This includes admiring our city, people, culture and history, traditions, language, architecture, food, and everything else about our country. We, Filipino let us all embrace the culture that binds us together as a nation as we grasp hands to unite. Being Rizal is the most difficult thing I can do since Jose Rizal is one of a kind. However, if you are yourself and have a strong desire to love our nation, you can be a hero in your own ways.

Pagtindig ni G. Lhexter Jay Dimaano bilang si Rizal Different people, different character. We as humans do have our own unique features and life's perspective. We made decisions based on our own preferences and likes. But how do a person like me can be Rizal in the modern day? I see Rizal as a Hero. A man with a courage and a strong dedication who fight for the independence of the country. But I am not Rizal, and I cannot be like Rizal because literally we're different. But I will be a hero which I saw about him. I will use my knowledge to educate other people, I will raise my voice to speak for those voiceless individuals in addressing social issues and concerns, I will broaden the platform which I established in promoting safe space and equality for all, and I will share my experiences to inspire them to keep going. We have our own silent battles that we all are fighting, let's be the light of hope in the darkest time and be the sunshine of positivity in every calamity. Share, inspire, and act.

Pagtindig ni G. Jahnelle Anne Dimayuga bilang si Rizal Our country’s history allows us to learn about the struggles and sacrifices our forefathers had to go through in order for us to live like how we live right now. The great deeds they did and their courage to fight, just like Dr. Jose Rizal, to achieve the freedom of the Filipinos for the future generation will always be significant to each and every Filipino who remembers how they died and the reason they died, that is, for the future of the Philippines. To be a modern day Rizal in my own terms means that I need and must be conscious at all times and be aware of what is happening around me, in my environment and of course my country. In order to achieve that, I need to excel and be educated enough so that no one can dictate and manipulate what I see, hear and do. My awakened patriotic soul will never be shattered once again. I will never tolerate, instead I will be mindful and criticize the things and the people that deceives his own countrymen for his own gain. I will never be ignorant, I will work my way up and extend my hands to someone in need. However, as of now, the only thing I can do is to study in order to be educated enough, to be kind to people and to use my vote for the welfare of my country and its men. Learning from history and the people’s past mistakes that have resulted in consequences is a must because as the saying goes, those who forget their past are bound to repeat it.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Cristine Jane Eleda bilang si Rizal I admired Rizal for doing such brave actions, for giving a silent, peaceful, calm but decisive battle. As a student and citizen of this country, being Rizal is hard. I don't think like Rizal, we have a different perspective, and I am far from becoming Rizal. But in this modern-day, there are a lot of actions we can do to be like Rizal. Our Earth is suffering because of us, and we didn't take good care of her. Simply putting Earth as our priority makes us a modern hero; we don't need guns to fight or even weapons to win a battle; we need unity and a sense of responsibility. Nature can exist without us, but we cannot exist without it. Earth can live without us humans. Being responsible will make as a hero in our ways. Simply doing small things in our house can help our mother nature. I can say that I am guilty of why we suffered, before I didn't do the 3r, which are the reduce, reuse and recycle. But because I have learned more information about it, I have been practicing it in our home; segregating those three will help us save our Earth. By knowing these kinds of things,

Pagtindig ni Bb. Cristine Jane Eleda bilang si Rizal I can educate some and help others understand how we can keep our resources. Planting trees and conserving water will also be a great help. Those are some of the simple things I do and learned in this modern day. It is not the Earth who will constantly adjust for us, don't take advantage of what we have now; let us support and contribute something to our Earth because she deserves it. Be a person with integrity and purpose. Having a purpose in life is one of the fundamental factors of happiness. Be a modern hero in our ways; protecting our Earth always starts with ourselves and lets us not be selfish and give what our Earth deserves.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Kyla Anne Evangelista bilang si Rizal In these difficult and critical times, we require similarly strong and committed Filipinos, free of indifference and selfishness, into becoming modern-day heroes to continue our stand for freedom from any societal problems. Perform well in your industry, participate in good projects, and lead a spiritual and thoughtful life. To become a modern-day Rizal requires to be analytical and observant, to have an awareness that refuses to acknowledge the rampant ideology we currently have, an economy that fosters the evils of greed, indifference, and insincerity of character. We, like Rizal, should adopt a creative and visionary worldview, where one looks beyond the complex beliefs and is ready to communicate or be condemned for sake of truth.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Marielle Ann Ferangco bilang si Rizal We can be heroes in the smallest things, just like Dr. Rizal and Bonifacio. Being a hero entails more than just helping those you know and care about; it entails displaying altruism and compassion for everyone. You never know when a situation may arise in which you can assist. Use your skills to assist others in any way you can for example, if someone's tire is flat and you know how to change it, stop and assist. If you are unfamiliar with automobiles, you may be able to assist in contacting a tow truck. Sometimes someone does not require any assistance, but a simple compliment or holding a door open for the next person can go a long way. Being a hero isn’t just about getting the title or the recognition; it’s also about being kind and giving back to others. With each small action, regardless of how tough you appear on the outside, you will shine as a hero like Rizal.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Alliyah Pauline Guidotti bilang si Rizal I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people. We’ve always asked ourselves about what heroism really means to us. Some of us think that being a hero requires someone to die, but I think that one can be a hero when they are still alive, depending on what you have done to be called a hero. You can be called a hero when you save someone who is in a bad situation. It doesn’t require fighting, wearing a cape or being a crime fighter. No matter who you are or what you do, there are opportunities for being heroic all around you. You just have to think and act like a hero. Then when the opportunities come, you will be able to come through and save the day. Initiate the change you want to see A true hero isn’t just talk. A true hero is constantly thinking about how they can take action and help others. You may be inspired to be a hero for a certain cause or issue, or you may try to be a hero for someone in need. Put others before yourself Think about other people’s needs before considering your own. When you are making decisions at work or at home, take some time to think about how your actions will affect someone else. Be ready to act when others are passive People lead busy lives. Often, a typical person is so focused on themselves, they don’t notice or care to act when something is wrong. A hero will be willing to take action and confront injustice straight on. Stick up for a friend, classmate, or co-worker you feel is being treated unfairly. Buy a meal for the homeless person everyone keeps walking by on the street. Notice the underdog or the less fortunate and give them a helping hand.

Use your talent First, think about the things you are good at or the useful skills that you have. You can ask your friends and family what they think you excel at, if you cannot think of anything specific. They will have a good idea about your strengths and how you can best utilize them to help others. Think how much you can help people around you using your talent. Promote the good Being a hero is not just about solving all of the bad things in life like poverty, inequality, and oppression. It is also about working to promote and advance the good things in life like charity, kindness, gratitude and love. Speaking out against injustice is important, but speaking out in favour of peace is just as valuable. Learn from your own heroes No one becomes a hero all on their own. Think about the people in your life who have acted like heroes. Think about the times when you felt lost or scared, only to have another person come along and help you through a tough time. Maybe they were strangers. Perhaps a teacher or relative was there for you when you really needed someone. Think about what they did and how it made you feel.

Pagtindig ni G. Khen Hernandez bilang si Rizal It is very difficult to be someone like Dr. Jose Rizal, not to mention the things he did for our country. To scale up to him, I think the first thing we should do is to care. To care for one another, to care for the strangers you come across with, to care for an old lady crossing the street, to care for the environment, to care for your neighbor. It will not be easy to be a modern day Rizal, but even Rizal had a resolve that was easily shaken. That’s what we will need if we want to fight for the country, that’s what we’ll need if we want to fight for something. Courage and Sincerity, and change for the better. As a Modern Day Rizal, We should do everything within our means to be involved in our community. Being involved means taking action. Taking action even in the smallest things that we could do will result in having collective action. Collective action can accumulate to make a change.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Jhe Ann Ibon bilang si Rizal Rizal famously devoted one of his poems to Filipino youths, not only for those of his generation or the next, but for all Filipino youths past, present, and future. Rizal want to remind our future leaders that they are the fatherland's future. Today's Filipino youth do not appear to be what Rizal envisioned for them. Regardless, today's kids are still the fatherland's future, but they are not the ideal youths for whom Rizal hoped. In this modern day, we are the youth that hope of our nation in a simple action we can be a hero like Dr. Jose Rizal. We are the young who have spearheaded nation-building efforts that encompass educational, social, cultural, and political participation that enables people of all ages learn, grow, and become engaged citizens. Youths programs begin with educational opportunities for children and youth that intentionally lead them away from being passive recipients of adult-led programs and toward taking charge of their own lives. This can help with lifetime engagement and major results. It is insufficient to teach young people about nation-building. Learning about nation building necessitates time dedicated to learning, as well as completing nation-building work and reflecting on nation-building. Young people should develop skills like as critical thinking and communication, as well as historical knowledge, diversity, and empowerment. We can lead our nation in a simple action! We are the youth that hope of our nation!

Pagtindig ni G. Jinro Bryan Lagare bilang si Rizal The truth is, no one can be Rizal, but we can all be heroes in our own unique ways. Rizal accomplished so much, but if I were to be Rizal at this present time, I would be like him as to how he was in the past. This generation's youth are somewhat lost, and the country needs only someone who can instill in Filipinos a strong sentiment that will re-empower the ideals of freedom and a sense of nationalism. In this violent world, I will continue to choose education and intelligence to fight for our freedom. I'll teach youth the importance of always considering the consequences of their actions. Finally, will serve as an eye opener, and be an epitome of the role model for every Filipino. After all, it's not just about moral authority, but the contributions that someone can make to our modern society.

Pagtindig ni G. Mc Vincet R. Laroza bilang si Rizal To be a modern-day Rizal means knowing your heritage and working one's way to success in order to demonstrate to a globalized world that we Filipinos are unique. I will be Excel in my field, engage in noble enterprises, live a prayerful and reflective life NOT BECAUSE of fame or power but because you love your country, the Philippines. To be a modern-day Rizal means to be critical and to keep a discerning mind, a consciousness that does not accept the unbridled capitalism we have right now, an economic system that breeds the evils of consumerism, apathy and shallowness of character. Like Rizal, we must imbibe a poetic and prophetic view of the world, one that sees beyond edifices and is prepared to speak or be rejected for the sake of the truth.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Aprilyn Linatoc bilang si Rizal You can learn from his example and strive to be a better version of yourself every day. Whether it's via enrolling in an online or after-hours course at your local university, picking up a new interest or joining a hobby circle, or simply reading instead of spending hours in front of your (not-so-) smart tv or phone, there's something for everyone!

Pagtindig ni Bb. Erica Althea Liwanag bilang si Rizal No one can replace what Dr. Jose Rizal did for our country, the Philippines, but all of us can emulate him as a strong and independent man with a passion for his homeland. Rizal is exceptional, and he will always be the only person who truly deserves the title of 'Pambansang Bayani.' I will always admire him for having the courage to fight others in order to give the Filipinos the independence and peace they deserved.Being like Dr. Jose Rizal was also a desire of mine as a normal Filipino who had not completed her studies and could not yet prove anything. Someone with the bravery, heart, and spirit to fight for every Filipino's and our country's rights. I believe I can be like him in some way, perhaps by standing up for what I believe is right and using my voice to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. The difference between me and Dr. Jose Rizal is that he is brave enough to conquer all even though he knows he could lose everything. In terms of myself, I can still be like Rizal in today's modern world by serving my fellow Filipinos and my country. Now that I am a student leader, I gradually realize that I am doing my best to help others, and that this will eventually extend beyond my fellow students to the entire country. I am always willing to speak up and fight for our rights, but for the time being, all I can do is study hard so that when the time comes, I will have the knowledge, confidence, and bravery to fight for what I believe is right and what our country deserves.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Christine Julie Grace Lopez bilang si Rizal Rizal, in my perception, should be any Filipino's idol. The depth of his character, above anything else is what makes him worthy of idolization. Rizal is conceited. He was a man who rightfully belongs in this world. How can we not be impressed and proud? Like Rizal, I must adopt a poetic and religious worldview, one that is willing to speak or be silenced for the sake of truth. To be a modern-day Rizal is to be influential and socially aware, to have a greater awareness that does not accept the unrestrained capitalism we currently have, an economic and political system that supports the wrongdoings of other people in our society. I will value education even more, participate in many activities that benefit our community, and keep a humble and reflective living not for popularity or power, but because I love our country, the Philippines. I will also demonstrate my love for our country by fighting for what is right in the best possible way. Knowing our history and focusing one's way to success in order to demonstrate to a globalized world that we Filipinos are unique. Rizal saw the world as a beautiful creation created by God to demonstrate His immense love. What Rizal desired was for people to recognize that the world is a gift worth preserving and empowering by enhancing its potential through Faith, justice, equality, and humanity. He wanted to demonstrate that a Filipino or Filipinos in general, have something or many things to be proud of.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Geenel Lumaglas bilang si Rizal Being a hero is not always come along with the sword and blood, it also comes with our mind and heart. As Dr. Jose Rizal does, he fought through writing novels that will trigger the patriotism that lies in every Filipino’s heart. Likewise, Andres Bonifacio leads the battle through the use of swords and blood that help Filipinos to wake up and fight for their right. In this scenario, both are considered to be a hero and both of them fight for our rights when Spaniards colonized our country for a long period of time, the only difference is that they use different ways to fight. Just like Dr. Rizal and other heroes did, I can be a hero even in the smallest things. I can be a hero when I rescued a dog on one rainy evening. I can be a hero when I gave a portion of my food to a street kid begging on the road. And I can be a hero when I did not leave my friends in his/her darkest times and days. I can be heroes in many different ways and I should always choose to be a hero especially in this time of the pandemic.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Kelly Joy Macatangay bilang si Rizal Nowadays, people are losing themselves because of the continuous problems that they are experiencing and it can affect their mental health that causes a mental illness that leads to stress, anxiety and depression. Even in a simple way of action, I want to be Rizal in a modern day who can save those people that cannot stand anymore and are losing hope to live. If given a chance, I want to make a program in every barangay to have peer counseling where people can go to if they need someone to talk to if they don't know what to do. Ofcourse, those people who are experiencing such difficulties cannot think properly and maybe they will ignore going to counseling because they have a lot of problems. That is why, I will encourage people to recommend the counseling to other people they know suffering from mental issues and much better if those who has these kind of problems could turn in themselves in a counseling to them improve their selves and to give them sort of solutions to their problems that would be a great opportunity and help to them. Nevertheless, as much as I can do, if I haven't given a chance to make this possible. As a mere citizen of this country, I still have a power to help people in need by giving advice to someone who is down, by saving someone who is struggling, by fighting for the rights if we are underestimated and by living my life to the fullest, loving myself and so, others and be free from the criticism of odds. In a small way, I can be what Rizal wants us to be in this modern day.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Mirabell Janine Manalo bilang si Rizal Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines, who opens our minds and hearts to the affected Filipinos for them to wake up and realize that they are being used and abused by foreign nationalities. Backdated to when Dr. Jose Rizal used his voice and rights as a Filipino through his writings, journals, poems, and advocacy to fight for the colonization of Spaniards in the Philippines. By not using force or arms, he fought for the rights of the Filipinos who could not raise their voices and were imprisoned with fear. This generation will never forget Dr. Jose Rizal's heroic deeds in the fight for Philippine independence. And in this modern-day, as a student who got inspired and positively influenced by Dr. Jose Rizal, I wanna be like him in a way that I can serve my fellow Filipinos who need help and a shoulder to lean on. Another way is to be educated; in this way, I can be a worthy citizen of the nation. Being educated is also knowing what is the right thing to do and I can share my knowledge with the unfortunate young people who don’t dare to study for many reasons. I want to help them in the reason of I do not want to be the only one who will have a better life and all they can do is expect help from the government.

Sometimes we should not tolerate ourselves asking for help from the government to survive in our lives, we should make ways to make our life better. Another thing that I got inspired by Dr. Jose Rizal is to be a resilient person. When life gets tough and gives us the most difficult challenges and we can never imagine if we will be able to surpass it. By experiencing the challenges and accepting them and learning from them we can grow and be strong. We can stand tall and firm with our bravest hearts and have a lot of courage to face life again.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Lea Piazirine Marquez bilang si Rizal Even though Rizal helped the Filipino people achieve peace and harmony, I can't and won't ever be like him. However, I can be a true leader and a role model. I am capable of being a decent Filipino citizen who can influence people's thoughts and help them become better individuals. For our nation and myself, I can be a responsible and diligent student and daughter. A hero doesn't have to fight with weapons or die for their nation. I thought that If you want to grow better at what you do now and in the future, you need to become a better version of yourself today. Certainly, every one of us can be a hero in our tiny way. There are many examples, such as respecting and caring for our mother planet, contributing to the development and preservation of our predecessors' talents, and showing kindness when awful things happen. A better world can only be achieved by treating one another with genuine love, respect, and understanding. As I've already stated, I can follow Rizal by speaking up about these issues now. While it's critical to avoid physical violence, it's even more critical that we assert our constitutional rights. I registered to vote last year. However, this is just the beginning of our power. Choosing wisely who will sit and lead us is of utmost importance.

Like Rizal, I believe we should abstain from voting for those who misuse their positions of authority, favor the wealthy, or would sell our country to a foreign force. We are the sole owners of our nation. It was battled and killed for by many heroes. Because of this, we shouldn't allow our government or another country to take it away from us. In the same way as Rizal, I shall be a motivation for change. Even a modest modification may make a significant effect, even if it's not as big as his. To make an enormous difference, a modest amount of work can be done by many people.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Angela Mean Medrano bilang si Rizal People nowadays are aggressive in getting what they want and expressing their point of view to others. It is saddening that both on social media and in person, people are getting aggressive and attacking each other as if they are not talking to a human. Rizal’s goal when he is living is to fight for change but with equality and human dignity within a peaceful framework, and to be like Rizal but in modern day, I would also like to fight for a change just like what his goal is. If I could be a modern day Rizal, I would like to encourage everyone to be nice and kind to others. Whatever their motives and their stand, they could do it in a peaceful way wherein no one gets offended, hurt, or discriminated against. As I can see, especially on social media, some are having mental health problems because they got called out for what their stand is. They got bullied and discriminated. Even those who are relatives and friends are getting into fights just to justify their opinion and fight for what they have. It is saddening that some of them are cutting their connections and disrespecting each other because of it. They should be having a healthy discussion rather than fighting with each other. I would like to encourage them to take down their emotions and think twice before they do or tell something, especially on social media where everyone can see what they are doing. It is good to know that everyone has their own side, opinions, and they are using their intelligence to fight for our rights and each stand, but it could be more beautiful to see if they are doing it in a nice way or how Rizal wants; equally and with human dignity in a peaceful way.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Mary Joy Nido bilang si Rizal “We urge today’s millennials to be like Rizal, to work for a better Philippines, free of poverty and fear, and where justice and solidarity reign”. The substance of being like or even near on becoming our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal is very challenging and exacting to think. Given the facts that he was the most diversely talented person to ever have lived and he showed qualities of intelligence, courageousness, and determination to fight for all men born equal and to rise up against obstacles that will come for. I think that one step to be in line to our national hero is that one must possess the willingness to change the negative factors in our society. A major problem facing our society is a lack of knowledge, which means that many Filipinos are unaware of what's happening around them. I want to be an agent as well as the voice of every Filipino person for the awareness of the things that need to change as we conquer a new generation that is more informed about current affairs. I can be like our national hero if I will be able to be the agent of change for our society. Jose Rizal is an inspiration to many people in our country because he was able to make changes in his own life and introduce radical change to a world that did not want it, which cost him his life.

Today we need more Filipinos like Jose Rizal if we want to change the course of our country and its people and I can be one of those dedicated individuals. His patriotism, wisdom, human heartedness, courage and decency qualified him to be a national hero and I do believe that I can inspire other people just like what Rizal did by having these qualities and by that I can be a great contributor to the common good of the Filipino people. He made us know through his works that we can be a poet, doctor, or anybody we want if we put our minds into what we vision to be in the future.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Shane Yvonne Patulay bilang si Rizal As Rizal set the standard of him being the national hero by fighting for freedom in a silent but powerful way. And expressed his love for the Philippines through his novels, essays and articles rather than through the use of force or aggression. I will be him in this modern day by not letting anyone silenced me for fighting for what is right for our country. I will use my voice to others not to revise the history, and stand for the truth. Also, letting the Philippines know that “Kabataan” is indeed the hope of our country.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Georgina Angela Perez bilang si Rizal As we all know that according to our national hero, Dr. Rizal, that the youth is the hope of our nation and the future leaders and being one of the youth, I think that I can be like Dr. Rizal in this modern day by showing the love that I have for our country. To be able to become a modern-day Rizal means that an individual should be critical and observant when it comes to our surroundings, especially the awareness that we must possess when we talk about the state of our economy, especially when we know that something is not right in our country. As Rizal did, we must possess a different kind of perspective of the world, one that perceives beyond things and one that is willing to speak, and voice out the truth rather than being silenced and deprived of the truth by anyone. I also believe that I can be like Rizal in a modern era by loving my country and being proud of it despite its problems but also not being afraid to point them out. To be an individual who is brave to fight for our rights and stand for what is right and just. There are a lot of ways in which individuals can show his/her love for our country. Love of country, in my opinion, should be gratefully attached to ideals and practices shared by our fellow citizens. Be an engaged young citizen to show our affection for our country. Participate actively in social activities to affect positive change in the communities to which we belong. But, in my opinion, the best way for us to express our love and sense of belonging to our nation is to participate in its political process by voting for the right leaders and working together to make this country better.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Georgina Angela Perez bilang si Rizal Remembering the individuals who became significant in our history that sacrificed a lot for our country during their time, we, people in the modern day must also possess patriotism for us to be able to achieve the kind of country that we want and dreamed of for ourselves, for our fellow Filipinos and for the future generations. Let everyone of us be a modern hero, a role model, and a good Rizal of our time, fighting for the rights of our fellow Filipinos and standing brave, reminding us of our patriotic beliefs, and providing a path to modernization.

Pagtindig ni Bb. Kyla Marie Perez bilang si Rizal “We urge today’s millennials to be like Rizal, to work for a better Philippines, free of poverty and fear, and where justice and solidarity reign”.
