THE JOURNEY OF THE LITTLE FISH KUKİ WE CREATE THE WORLD OF THE FUTURE TODAY e Twinning Project
CHAPTER 1: THE JOURNEY OF THE LITTLE FISH KUKİ The little fish Kuki lived peacefully with its mother on the Italian coast. Its friends and acquaintances loved its very much. Its days were always fun. However, there was a problem. The cliffs on which they lived were located close to the beach. This was a busy beach where people vacationed. Therefore, there was a lot of environmental pollution. Kuki and its family were uncomfortable with this situation. People were polluting the environment too much. One day, Kuki's family decided to move. They wanted to find a livable island with cleaner waters. They all went on the journey together. The first hours of the trip were very enjoyable. But after a few hours, they reached a rough sea where cold and warm waters mixed together. There was a lot of fish in this sea. And they were all traveling in joy. A short time later, a huge fishing ship approached in front of them. The ship threw a huge net into the sea and began to hunt all the sea animals around it indiscriminately. Kuki and its family dispersed in panic. They thought there was only one ship, but several more ships were operating at the same time. That's why the family was trying to escape from the environment in panic. Just then, a huge net was thrown around them. Kuki's family was swept aside. Kuki, on the other hand, could not keep up with his family and started to move in a different direction. It swam for a while in fear, but did not dare to look behind its. After a while the sounds stopped. The sea became calmer. When Kuki got over the initial shock, it looked around in panic, but there was no one around. At that time, there were other fish, like himself, running away in fear. Kuki wanted to go back and find its family. Just then, an old fish passing by noticed that Kuki was in a difficult situation and stopped Kuki: Old Fish: Hey child! Where are you going? Kuki: I lost my family. My family is where the ships are. I have to find them. Old Fish: Those ships are hunter ships. They catch tons of fish at once and threaten the extinction of the fish. Don't go where the ships are. Don't get close to those ships. Luckily we got rid of them. You must run away quickly. It's too late for your family now. The ships hunted them. There is nothing we can do. You must follow me. Ships will be approaching here soon. Kuki: But I can't leave my family! Old Fish: Don't come back, child. You must follow me. You cannot survive here. Those ships will approach here in a little while. We have to get away from here now.
Kuki sadly followed the old fish. They advanced for a while. They approached a warm sea. Kuki was very upset along the way. After some progress, the Old Fish turned to Kuki and said: -Here's the Child! These coasts belong to the Turkish state. I will take you to a lovely town known as Söğüt, which has ponds and rivers that I know here. I have friends there. They will assist you. Don't be sad, son. If you're lucky, maybe your family is still alive and maybe you'll be reunited someday. But right now you have to survive first. After swimming for a while, the old fish and Kuki came to a river called Sakarya. They stayed here for a while. The old Fish introduced Kuki to a bunch of friends. Kuki got used to it here. Because he had many friends who loved and helped him. One day, a lot of children came near the river where they lived and started picnicking by the river. It was the first time Kuki had seen such a large group of children. Old Fish and his friends told Kuki that these students are students of Orhangazi Imam Hatip Secondary School. Sometimes they come here for a picnic. They are sensitive children who are very respectful to the environment. Let's take care of them. After a while, the children approached the river with their teachers and started to watch the fish. Noticing Kuki, they all approached him. Because Kuki had colorful scales. It was the first time they had seen such a beautiful fish. After a while, a woman, who appeared to be their teacher, approached the children. She gave the bread crumbs to the children and said: -Come on my students, let's feed the fish, said. The children fed the fish. After a while, it was time to go. Their teachers warned them. They started to pack their things. Before they left, they wanted to turn for the last time and say hi to the Pisces. The fish also greet them with their fathoms. At that moment, a little boy put his hand in the water and touched Kuki. Kuki never ran away from the boy. The children were very excited when they saw this. But their teacher came to them and called them. They waved to the fish for the last time. As they were leaving, Kuki also saluted them with its fathoms. The children excitedly told their teachers about their experiences and left. The little boy said: \"Teacher, the fish greeted me, you know?\" Her teacher smiled and said: “Sometimes wonderful things happen in nature. \"You've had great experiences because you're great kids,\" she said. Hearing the loving conversations of the children and their teachers, Kuki remembered the good times it spent with his family. It was suddenly very sad. It decided to go on a journey to find its family. It told its thoughts to the Old Fish and its friends. Its friends were sad to leave, but they agreed with Kuki. They promised to take its beyond the Sakarya river.
Chapter: 3 When Kuki and its friends reached the end of the Sakarya river, they said goodbye to each other. Kuki started swimming again. After a while, Kuki ran into another fishing ship. Kuki did not notice the net thrown by the ship and was caught in the net. It stood out with it's colorful scales among the many fish it knew were endangered. The fisherman noticed Kuki and said, \"A very beautiful fish, just as my son wanted.\" The fisherman dipped the jar into the sea to get some water, then threw Kuki into the jar. Kuki panicked over it's trauma. The fisherman put the jar in his bag and went back to work. The water in the jar was very dirty and bothered Kuki. Because of the darkness, Kuki couldn't see it's surroundings clearly. After a while, a light flooded inside the bag. The fisherman took the jar out of the bag and placed it on the table. Kuki looked around. It didn't know where it was. Then it saw a small boy whom it thought it did not recognize, approaching it. The boy showed the jar to his friends : \"Do you know him? It looks a little familiar to me.\" One of the boy's friends jumped forward and excitedly said, \"It's Kuki!\". Kuki and the boy were glad to see each other again. A girl said:“The water is very dirty. Should we change it? It's terrible that Kuki came all the way like this!” After they changed Kuki' water, the boy put him in an aquarium. Kuki felt more comfortable there. Boy: \"You look very tired, Kuki, is there a problem?\" Kuki: \"I lost my family first. In this dirty water, I traveled for hours in the dark. I don't know where my home is. It can no longer be called a home. Because of people, the only place we can breathe has turned into a suffocating grave. Moreover, people recklessly pollute not only the seas, but also the air, soil, and even their own living spaces. Our rivers and lakes are drying up due to global warming. Because of fossil fuels, the air is polluted and living things get sick. Soil pollution is poisoning plants. People don't even recognize the right to live anymore! I miss my family so much, I won't rest until I find them. But I don't even know where I am.\" Boy: \"Do not be afraid, you are safe in Ankara. We will not harm you. We are trying to save nature and animals. For this reason, we try to keep our world and our seas clean and we warn our elders about this.\" Kuki: \"You guys will save the world. And I trust you to help me find my family.\" Boy: \"Yes, but first we have to get you to the sea. There is no sea in Ankara.\" The children take Kuki and take the bus to the nearest seaside city. They take it to the clean, unpolluted Black Sea, where it can live safely. The children wished it will be well and said goodbye.
Chapter :4 The bus started to move forward. Kuki's body was so tired that he fell asleep all the way. When they got to the last stop, Kuki realized that he had come to the wrong place. The bus brought Kuki not to the Black Sea, but to the Mediterranean. According to Kuki, swimming on the shores of the Mediterranean was both enjoyable and difficult. On some shores, their fins were either attached to bags or some other waste. This slowed him down a lot. When he came to Antalya, he decided to take a break in Serik district. While resting on the Serik beach, he noticed that a few people were eating something. He watched them from afar and was very upset when he saw people leaving their trash on the beach. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. When it got dark, he found a cave and fell asleep. He was awakened by human voices in the early hours of the morning. He also saw that about twenty students were cleaning the beach with huge garbage bags in their hands. The children looked very happy in t- shirts with the name of their school in front of them. On the T-shirts, the words \"15 Temmuz Şehitleri Secondary School Environmental Volunteers\" were written. Kuki watched all this with admiration. And remembered the good times he spent with his family. Unfortunately, his family was not on the Antalya coast. Now it's time to leave here. Kuki set out to other lands to find his family.
Chapter :5 After a long journey in the sea , Kuki arrived at the coast of Mudanya in Marmara Region. He may find his family here. The weather was shiny and sunny. While Kuki was swimming along the coast , he was looking for big ships to find his family at the same time. After a while , he found himself in a river in Bursa. The river was so narrow that swimming in it was very difficult. Kuki raised his head and looked around. He saw a very tall building. It was all green. Kuki heard little kids' laughter coming from that building. Then the bell rang and there was no voice anymore. He figured out it was a school. Kuki was curious about the name of the school. To see it , he swam more.Eventually , he saw the name of the school and a bird logo next to it. Private Yedi Vadi Schools was written on the top of the building . Kuki turned his head to the park . Some children were sliding and swinging while others were playing football on the grass . Few old people were sitting on the bench and watching around.Kuki saw two young women were eating sunflower seeds , drinking cans of beverage, and throwing trash on the ground. Moreover , they left the park with all trash there. He felt so upset because they polluted the environment and also they didn't care about it. At this time , the school bell rang again .A teacher with a few students crossed the street and walked towards the park. Kuki was surprised. The teacher asked her students to collect all trash in the park. The students picked all trash up gladly . The park was clean and bright again thanks to the eco-friendly students and the teacher. It was great for Kuki to know that there are conscious and educated people saving the nature. It was time to return to Mudanya and continue searching for his family. When Kuki arrived at Mudanya , he noticed that some people were sunbathing while some of them were swimming in the sea. A few kids playing with some jellyfish and starfish took his attention. Suddenly , he saw a boy squeezing a jellyfish in his hands and a girl putting some starfish in her bucket to take home.
CHAPTER 6 Kuki was very upset to see the jellyfish and starfish in the children's hands. Every living thing should live in its natural environment. People could not disrespect or torture other beings living in our world according to their own whims and wishes. He should not forget that they too have a family to which they belong. Kuki decided to warn the children. Kuki said to the boy holding a jellyfish; _Do you know that the umbrella-shaped creature has appendages on its end that can poison you? _The boy said no, it's the first time I'm taking it in my hand. I just wondered. I'm leaving it right now. Then he turned to the girl and asked, \"What are you going to do with that starfish? _The girl replied, \"I will dry it and make it an ornament.\" _Kuki: The starfish doesn't have a brain, but it can feel your touch, and rest assured, it's not at all happy that you took it away from its house. _The girl said she had never thought of it like that and left it where she had picked it up. Kuki thanked him and left. While walking on the beach, he saw a bus approaching. These were the primary school students from Acıpayam who came on the trip. They would collect smooth stones from the shore and make a painting. The children loved to paint and travel. While they were looking for a stone, they saw Kuki and wanted to meet. They all gathered around him and started asking questions. Where do you come from and where do you go ?Kuki also said that he was looking for his family. The children wanted to help him. Kuki said: I would be very happy if you put me on a ship that takes me to other beaches. Maybe I can find my family there. The children immediately took action and dropped him off at his destination by bus.
CHAPTER 7 Kuki encountered a problem on his cruise. The ship was dumping its waste into the sea. it was harming sea creatures. He thought this situation should be called a STOP. Kuki wanted to find his family, but he did not want the seas to be polluted. Kuki jumped off the ship and swam towards the shore. there he saw happy and smiling children. they were Yusufca primary school students. They were working to prevent pollution in the seas. Thinking that he had found the right people, Kuki went over to them. The students had banners in their hands. \"Throw the garbage in the trash\", \"He who destroys water destroys life\", \"Don't touch my sea\"... Kuki was very happy to see these conscious children. Their hopes for the future grew even brighter. Children of the world would help all living things, the world would be a better place to live. Seeing this beautiful view, Kuki left there to find his family in a comfortable way. He continued his journey towards the distant seas.
CHAPTER 8 It was a sunny Sunday afternoon.Eryaman Cumhuriyet Secondary school students had a school trip to another city near the river. After the picnic they were cleaning the environment. While some of the students were picking up their garbage, they saw Kuki.It was watching them. “Heyy what a cute fish.Hello” the students said.Kuki was anxious. The students asked “What’s the matter with you?” Kuki:I lost my family a few days ago.I want to find them but the rivers and seas are so polluted that I can’t do anything. The students:You are right.Unfortunately some people don’t realize how pollution will harmour future. But don’t worry! We will do our bestto protect both our environment and our seas and keep them clean. We hope that you will find your family. Kuki thought that what a good hearted people and said “Thank you so much” . Kuki’s perspective on life began to change. It have seen so many people up to now and all of them have tried to something for a better World. Kuki started swimming again with great faith and perseverance.
CHAPTER 9 In his tireless journey to find out something about his parents, Kuki swims day and night. He befriends the beautiful Dori, the one with pastel blue veils, who had also lost her parents. They swam among the rocks and stones, dressed in green and brown algae, illuminated by the sun's rays, so as not to be caught by huge Pescadores, which were everywhere. They heard the sonar of the fishermen who detected schools of fish. Hidden among the stones of the seabed, with a small body and an extremely vivid coloration, they migrated from the Bosporus and the Sea of M armara to the Danube and the Black Sea. There, Dori told him, would be the last hope to find their family. He found out from Dori that the fish resources of the Black Sea are getting less and less. Many of the species are rare or on the verge of extinction due to pollution of the marine environment and excessive and illegal fishing. They rested in a wreck, there they found a good shelter, safe from danger. They stayed there for several days, in the wreck. The days passed, Dori laid eggs, from which some small, brightly colored fish came out. They were beautiful, they played happily with their parents and were happy and cheerful. During the day Kuki was swimming by the seashore, wishing every day that would beTextultăudeparagraf the one when he will be hearing some good news. Evening after evening he was coming back upset and discouraged. Until he realized; He had to do something at least for his little fishermen to have a better life, where they lived, far from the sunny coast of Italy. He decided to be an environmental activist and save as many species threatened by man as possible. That's how he made friends with the students from Matca, volunteers in the campaigns \"Let's protect the Black Sea!\" and \"Let's save the sea creatures, He learned from them about the international agreement of the riparian countries on the shore of the Black Sea and about the ecological projects that fight to restore the natural balance of the Black Sea. He became famous among the fishes of the world; he saved many lives; he fought all his life in the memory of his parents.
