 125 週年院慶專刊 院長的話   每一年的院慶，就好像是每 1 年有一個期末考試，鑑往知來，把過去一 年，甚至於過去一百年我們所做的事情做一個總複習，然後仔細想想：我們 將來要往何處去？ 由 1897 年從醫學院的前身「醫學講習所」開始，歷經多次的更迭，從 日治時代的總督府醫學校、臺北醫專、臺北帝國大學、再到戰後的臺灣大學 醫學院；名稱與制度或許有所不同，但是 125 年來，景福學子兢兢業業，始 終保持了兩項優良的傳統 : 就是培養臺灣最好的醫學人才以及貢獻社會的精 神。本院師生校友百餘年來秀異輩出，不僅在專業領域大放光彩，近年來更 擴及社會各領域，並且有所貢獻。前輩們留給我們的精神傳承，例如「寧為 良醫、不為名醫」、「先學做人、再來習醫」等等。往往在關鍵的時刻就會 躍然而出，與台灣的社會脈動緊密結合，進而在台灣歷史上扮演著扭轉乾坤 的角色。 從 2019 年末開始的全球新冠病毒肺炎疫情，到現在漸漸看到了解決的曙 光。自 2003 年 SARS 大流行之後，本院在臺灣對抗新興傳染病的戰爭當中， 再度扮演最重要的角色。疫情指揮中心的專家諮詢小組，幾乎都是以本院的 老師校友為主幹，連貫政府機關與各大醫院，全力防堵疫情。我們也在基礎 醫學方面展開對這個病毒的研究，首先培養出的新冠病毒株，並且積極研發 治療方法，已經開發了非常多項專利技轉。由此衍生出來的智慧醫療，更為 後疫情時代奠定重要的基礎，開創新的醫療模式。本院也成立了防疫科學研 究中心，持續地為各種新興傳染病做好最佳的應變。疫情的發生也剛好促成 我們醫學教育目標實際的關鍵體現。本院向以「人文關懷為基礎」、「病患 2

國立醫臺學灣院大學125 週年 院 慶 為中心」教導學生進行疾病的研究與診療，並養成團隊合作、研究創新，所 以我們在疫情當中仍然弦歌不輟，師生同心協力全方位的來控制疫情。全世 界各個不同層面都遭受到重大的影響。我們就利用這個契機展開跨領域、國 際化的教學與研究。 新冠病毒的疫情帶來全世界醫療的新局面，讓我們重新檢視過去的教學 研究服務。在後疫情時代，全世界的醫學，將會展現一個不同的面貌：越來 越多的遠距醫療、人工智慧、新藥開發等等會改變醫學的面貌，未來人類的 健康照護也會走向一個新境界。 台大醫學院與台大醫院是轉譯醫學的兩座寶山。入寶山豈可空手而回？ 時代的巨輪不停地向前運轉，醫療的技術與疾病的型態日新月異，但不變的 是我們對科學真理無止境的追求，以及對人類社會無止境的關懷。一代又一 代的楓城子弟，必然秉持這樣的理念，傳承台大醫學院的光榮。 院長 3
