\"Alumni\" are individuals who have been students or become permanent staff at UiTM as well as special individuals who are specifically identified include UiTM Alumni (Active students, graduate students, UiTM permanent staff) UiTM Associate Alumni (active and graduate students from Allied Colleges) Honorary Alumni of UiTM (Honorary Alumni) (former Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Pro Chancellors-Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of UiTM). Every year, University Technology MARA (UiTM) is still superior to being the only institution of higher learning that has succeeded in producing more than 40,000 graduates in various fields of knowledge. This achievement is a huge amount unmatched by any other local public university. Currently, UiTM has produced a total of 815,353 graduates who meet the job market and profession in various government and private sectors locally and abroad. In addition, with the awarding of 24,914 graduates in the 91st UiTM Convocation Ceremony on October 5 until November 7 at 13 campuses throughout the country, UiTM will increase the number of its alumni.
This finding aids book is prepared to facilitate the retrieving and use of record and archival materials related to the “UiTM Alumni”. Various of information can be obtained from both electronic and non-electronic sources. The list of available materials includes that related to a collection of types of images, newspaper, television, series, commercials, cartographic record and other else. This finding aids book aims to help researcher to find and obtain the desired materials easily. All the materials are listed according to the type of collection that document simple inventory and description of selection materials. The content of this finding aids is based on the materials available in the National Archives of Malaysia.

Chapter 2 : Government Sector UiTM graduates have achieved success in various sectors, and have worked at the heads of various organizations both in the public and private sectors. As of November 2014, more than 600,000 alumni have graduated from UiTM throughout its history. Emphasized here is the list of Uitm alumni serving in the government sector: 1. Raja Permaisuri Aishah or Siti Aishah binti Abdul Rahman; born 18 November 1971) was the consort of the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. She is the youngest ever Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen) of Malaysia, ascending the throne at the age of 28 on 26 April 1999. During her reign as Raja Permaisuri Agong, she was known as Tuanku Siti Aishah. She grew up in Kuala Lumpur, received her early education at the Jalan Gurney Primary School and furthered her studies in banking at the Kelantan branch campus of the Universiti Teknologi MARA (Formerly known as Institut Teknologi Mara) in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
2. Musa Bin Haji Aman (born 30 March 1951) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 14th Chief Minister of Sabah in Malaysia from March 2003 to May 2018. He was also the Sabah finance minister, the chairman of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) for Sabah, and the older half brother of Anifah Aman, the former Foreign Minister of Malaysia. He pursue his tertiary education in UiTM (formerly known as Institut Teknologi Mara, ITM) for his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration .
3. Dato Sri Azalina binti Othman Said born 31 December 1963) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration since July 2020. She created history by being the first female holder of the deputy speakership. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pengerang since March 2004. She is a member of the Supreme Council of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), the major component party of the ruling PN coalition. Azalina was the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department from July 2015 to May 2018, Minister of Tourism from March 2008 to April 2009 and the Minister of Youth and Sports from March 2004 to March 2008 . Azalina started her tertiary education in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) (or Institut Teknologi Mara (ITM) as it was known then) by taking her Diploma in Public Administration (DPA).
1) Students Generate Five-Figure Sales Through FSKM Entrepreneurship Programme
Muhammad Indra Nashrullah Dwi Indratino began doing business in 2015 on a fun-flition. He is a former Student of Diploma in Actuarial Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics (FSKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Tapah, Perak selling shirts, mineral water, bread, burgers and bachelor's rice at his residential college, Gamma College.
He started trading in a simple way. As for the sale of mineral water and bread, he sold it by simply placing it on a chair as well as a box of money in front of the entrance of Gamma College. He also took the opportunity to sell burgers and single rice from room to room at his college. When he continued his stu dies at the next level, the Bachelor of Actuarial Science, FSKM, UiTM, Shah Alam, Selangor, he began to take his business seriously. He began to explore student activities related to business knowledge in his faculty. The first Entrepreneurship Programme followed by him was the Challenge Programme: FSKM Entrepreneurial Warrior (C-FEW). The program exposes students to produce and sell one necessary product on the market. The programme targets participants to obtain sales revenue of RM1,000.00 and above for three consecutive months under the guidance of a mentor.
By pursuing this programme, Indra deals with rice for noon and night at FSKM, residential colleges in UiTM as well as around Shah Alam. Indra's interest and determination towards business enabling him to achieve the C-FEW Programme target and successfully register his company, Indra Food Entreprise at the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). He didn't stop so far. He also attended the MASMED programme, UiTM, the Graduate Accelerator Entrepreneurship Lab 2.0 (GRACELAB 2.0) and secured a business grant of RM500.00 from MASMED. When the Movement Control Order was implemented in March 2020, he took the opportunity to expand his business not only around Shah Alam but also around Puncak Alam. He also sells addicted pickles and steady cakes where the proceeds from sales exceed RM 20,000.00 per month.
If you are around Shah Alam or Puncak Alam who wish to book a meal with Indra Food Entreprise you can follow him at: 2) Signing Ceremony of Strategic Collaboration Programme between JPJ, UiTM, UKM and JPK Putrajaya – The signing ceremony of strategic collaboration between the Road Transport Department (RTD) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the Department of Skills Development (JPK). During the ceremony, three strategic collaborations were signed by the Minister of Transport and Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport i.e. The Agreement on Executive Diploma in Transport and Enforcement Management (DEPPP) between JPJ and UiTM, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Masters Intent Studies Programme , Ministry of Human Resources.
The event was also attended by Datuk Isham Ishak, Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Prof. Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor, Vice-Chancellor of The National University of Malaysia (UKM), Prof. Emeritus Datuk Ir. Dr. Mohd Azraai Kassim, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Tuan Zamakhshari Hanipah, Deputy Director General (Planning and Operations) , Ministry of Human Resources and media representatives.
3) Adam Ariff – Best Student Award 2018 Adam Ariff Bin Mohd Roslan was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal for his outstanding achievement in academic and co-curricular activities in UiTM. This recognition accorded him to be one of the best graduates of the university for the year 2018. He earned a 3.98 CGPA for his degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) Finance.
He had represented UiTM on multiple occasions and collaborated with industry players to establish the Bursa Young Investors Club (BYIC) in the university. Adam had also secured a position with Bank Negara Malaysia prior to his graduation, due to his outstanding performance during his internship. In addition, due to his excellent achievement, he also received the best student award for the Faculty of Business and Management during the 89th Convocation Ceremony on 20th October 2018. Alumni’s Entrepreneurial Network One of the Faculty of Education's Effort in establishing networking with the alumni is by providing a platform for the alumni to promote their entrepreneurial endeavors in the faculty's
website. It is hoped that the networking would be a symbiotic in nature in which the alumni would be given a formal space to present their business while at the same time would contribute to each other as well as towards the faculty. MOHAMAD FAZIRUL MOHD KAMARUZZAMAN A GRADUATE OF MATHEMATICS EDUCATION PROGRAM Mohd Fazirul Mohd Kamaruzzaman, once a student with the Mathematics Education program, now owns a traveling agency
registered as Fazirul Global Resources (FGR–000234048-K). His traveling agency is located in Damansara and his most popular traveling packages are under Percutian Jimat Saya. Nurulhana Ismail - ASTRO Awani’s Presenter NURULHANA ISMAIL A GRADUATE OF TESL PROGRAM Nurulhana Ismail, a qualified English teacher, has employed her learning experience while pursuing her Bachelor Degree in Education (Teaching of English as Second Language) with the Faculty of Education, UiTM, to her advantage. As one of the finalists for a reality program ‘On Air’ by ASTRO, she needed to
appear polished, eloquent, well-read, critical and argumentative. On Air is a reality TV program in search for new and vibrant TV presenters. Seeing Nurulhana’s personality and her hosting capabilities, ASTRO has picked her up to join the TV station. Starting from 2012, she has commenced her career as a TV presenter and journalist with ASTRO Awani, and she has had experience of being a newscaster for Buletin Awani and hosted ‘Raikan Cinta’ for ASTRO Ria.
Faradiba Anuar – Freow Crafts Our final year student of the Teaching of English as Second Language (TESL) program is the proud owner of Freow Crafts. Established four years ago, she specializes in customizing gift items for corporate, weddings and other special occasions. It started off as a hobby, she loves customizing personal pillows and now her business has expanded into different gift items to suit
with the varying customers’ needs. She used to actively promoting her products via facebook, now she has also utilised the instragram to reach her target market. Farahdiba Anuar, or fondly known as Farah, appeared in ‘Women of Malaysia’, an online magazine where she was portrayed as a young and rising entrepreneur, featured with celebrities such as Deanna Yusoff, Yuna and Amber Chia, to name a few. She was interviewed on Bella TV show on NTV7. In addition, she also co-hosted a ten- episode program known as Chictivity, alongside Elfira Loy, a budding Malaysian actress. The program, fully sponsored by NAZA, showcases do-it-yourself (DIY) crafts and products such as accessorizing hangers, door signs, etc.
Farah was invited as a panel speaker for the Conference of Global Economics and Youth Entrepreneurship in UiTM Perak where she talked about entrepreneurial skills. Furthermore, Farah also ventures into various voluntary work, social entrepreneurial efforts and assumes the role of corporate-social responsibility. These include her ongoing involvement with SM Pendidikan Khas Setapak where she teaches English and crafts to the special needs children (students with visual and hearing- impairments) during school holidays. For the Mata Hati project, a voluntary project with the MISC Berhad, Farah was appointed as the leader for Arts and Crafts Unit. The project provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). In this collaboration, she produces artwork that would be sold to generate funds for the less fortunate children.
1) Pre-Education Programme (PPT) discussion session for UiTM Shah Alam athletes. A pre-education discussion session for UiTM Shah Alam athletes between PPT Director (PM. Ts. Dr Aini Bt Jaapar), Pre Diploma Coordinator of PPT athletes' route (Dr. Nursaadatun Nisak Ahmad) and The National Sports Council (MSN) Bukit Jalil, was successfully held on 2nd January 2020. The National Sports Council is represented by En. Joherman Amir (Mace Secretariat
Chief), En. Mohd Safwan Mohd Radzi (Head of Education Branch) and Puan Shakira Yahaya (Youth & Sports Officer). The discussion received positive input from both parties for the continuation of education at the higher education level especially at UiTM for sports athletes. It is hoped that this collaboration will continue in the future. 2) Online International Joint Workshop on Buildings, Cities and Regions 2021: Urban History x Revitalization International Joint Workshop on Buildings, Cities and Regions 2021, organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying (FSPU), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam with the Department of Global and Regional Studies (RDS),
Toyo University, Japan. The online workshop was held via Cisco Webex platform on the 21st January 2021 with the theme of “Urban History x Revitalization”. The speakers are Prof. TPr. Dr. Jamalunlaili Abdullah and Sr. Dr. Robiah Abdul Rashid from FSPU, hence Prof. Dr. Yoshito Yamazaki and Assoc. Prof. Norihisa Shima from RDS. The titles of informative and interesting lectures delivered in the workshop are “Planning History of Tokyo” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norihisa Shima; “Planning History of Kuala Lumpur” by Prof. TPr. Dr. Jamalunlaili Abdullah; “Renovating AKIYA for Local Community Revitalization” by Prof. Dr. Yoshito Yamazaki; and “Greater Kuala Lumpur: A Revitalization of Heritage Quarters” by Sr. Dr. Robiah Abdul Rashid. There are overwhelming participations from local and international staffs and students with the total of 186. This joint
workshop will be continued with more lectures and student-led projects organized by FSPU, UiTM and RDS, Toyo University in the next semester, in order to strengthen the collaboration between the two universities.
3. FSKM students’ creativity shined at PRIDE 3.0 Creative ideas and innovations with commercialization potentials were displayed by FSKM students through the Product Idea Innovation Showcase (PRIDE) 3.0. Organized by the Malaysian Academy of SME & Entrepreneurship Development (MASMED), the competition was held for UiTM students to “showcase” their entrepreneurial side through their creation of various product purposes. FSKM students’ teams managed to bag an overall total of 14 various awards from this competition. 10 FSKM teams made it to to final round, beating more than 800 teams.
Muhammad Firdaus Bin Jamdi ,Muhammad Ali Akbar Bin Radzali ,Adlil Zafri Bin Amir Hamzah And Muhammad Idham Bin Idris and Muhammad Qamarul ‘Ashraf Bin Abd emerged as top 10 finalists in Pride 3.0. Their innovation knowns as Rewalk , is a mobile application that can track fitness of a user. This app applies gaming and reward features to encourage user to keep healthy by walking. FSKM teams managed to win a place in respective categories as follows: Diligence and Dedication winner category: 1st Runner Up Automatic Deodarization Anti Splashing Cat Litter Box Commercialization Value winner category: 2nd Runner Up Rewalk (“Reward”) A Fitness Mobile Application Creativity, Quality Audio & Video winner category: Consolation Prize Rewalk (“Reward”) A Fitness Mobile Application All 10 FSKM teams were awarded with Merit Prize winners . 4. PPT Academic Mission with NCER 2020 The Institute of Continuous Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS) UiTM was entrusted by Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) to carry out empower NCER 2020 Academic Programme for form five students for selected schools. The empower NCER Academic Programme aims to reduce poverty rates and through Education these children are able to change their lives.
One of the project's filling is the exposure programme on student direction after SPM, where the UiTM Higher Education Programme (PPT) promotion team with the Academic Mission team briefed on the programmes offered at UiTM especially the PPT Programme. The schedule of empowerNCER 2020 programmes in The State of Kedah is as per the above table, but at the direction of the MCO, the UiTM Higher Education Programme promotion team of UiTM Kedah Branch with the Academic Mission team can only participate in the programme from 30 December 2020 to 13 January 2021.
