PROGRAM’S AIMS The program aims to ensure students are prepared for tertiary education in various fields of science, technology, business and information technology at UniKL by; Advancing student’s knowledge in science, technology, business and information technology Enhancing English proficiency ROUTE TO BACHELOR PROGRAMS SPM/ Foundation Bachelor Programs O-Level of choice (1 year) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (3-5 years) PROGRESSION Students who successfully complete the foundation program will automatically progress onto the first year of an appropriate bachelor in the fields of engineering, engineering technology, chemical engineering, information technology, multimedia, medical science technology, medical allied health sciences and business programs. FOUNDATION IN MEDICAL SCIENCES JPT/BPP (R/010/3/0472) 01/28, MQA/FA 8616 The Foundation in Medical Sciences program is specially designed to prepare students to enter bachelor’s degree courses in medicine and health sciences. The program aspires to produce students who are knowledgeable and competent in the medical sciences. The program gives emphasis to basic theory and current concepts in the sciences, professional behaviour and ethics, effective use of ICT, use of quantitative methods and knowledge of market relevance to enable students to enroll into medical and health sciences courses. It will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for a brighter career pathway and at the same time instil self-management skills and help or mould the characteristics needed for their future career in the medical field. This is a one (1) year full-time study program that incorporates practical elements to provide the opportunity for students to put theory into practice. Medical science-related subjects are offered to give students a focused route towards their undergraduate degree in medicine and health sciences. This program provides students with the theoretical and practical foundations for knowledge and skills acquisition in various disciplines of study in creative art and design and prepares them for undergraduate studies at Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) throughout Malaysia. At the end of this program, students will be able to explain design concepts, theories, and principles in their area of study, source and process data using appropriate digital applications, analyze and apply information to solve problems, and develop their skills for life long learning and communication in responsible ways Program’s Aims: The aim of this program is to ensure that students are equipped with basic knowledge before pursuing their studies in the various fields of Creative Art and Design at the undergraduate level specifically in the Bachelor of Design and to ensure the continuity of UniKL towards WE4ASIA.
