PRAYERS Praise God for who he is Thank God that he is Lord of history and is working the future towards the goal of bringing all things and everyone under the lordship of Jesus. The World Praise God that he continues to use his church despite our unfaithfulness. Thank God that he is faithful. Pray that God would raise up people around the world, who are gifted in sharing the gospel. Pray that we would all be bold to share Christ in 2020. Ask God’s forgiveness for the world wide church’s sins such as greed, selfishness, lack of compassion, abuse of power and people. Pray that God would purify us all. Pray for Australia; bush fires and drought. Pray for Hong Kong and dialogue seeking peace. Pray for peace among the rising military tensions in Iraq. Pray too for the driver of the car who did the damage. Pray that God will somehow bring good from this tragedy. Pray that it will help those who really need financial help. St George’s Praise God for the year of 2019 and pray for God’s leading at St George’s for 2020 (pray for individuals and us as a whole church). Thank God for Jonathan Ong (Administration Manager) and Kim Jones (Mums and Tots Coordinator) and their work for God and his kingdom at St George’s. Pray that God will raise up their replacements soon. (Pray for a St George’s Mission Partner) Mission to Seafarers. Thank God for Soon Kok and the team as they share Christ and practical care to those who work on the many ships that visit Singapore. Thank God for Carols by Candlelight last month. Pray for those who are sick, that God will be merciful to them in this new year ahead; Dorothy Lau, Jenna Howe, Janet Tan, Peter Stead, Kah Seng, Libby Vine, Ian St Maurice, Caitlin Jong, Mary Raj Kumar, Ong Poh Lin and Alex L. Pray for James-Otto and his parents: Byron and Elizabeth and godparents and us at St George’s as they and we support James-Otto in his spiritual growth after his baptism today (@8am Service). For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
