Message From Secretary Information & Culture I hope this periodical would reflect the vision, policies and development agenda of the Punjab government and it would also highlight the departmental PR related activities. The mass media, over time, has emerged as the most important field. Keeping in view its unique significance, it has been acknowledged as ‘the fourth pillar of State.’ The dependence of human beings on various forms of mass media, especially social media, has increased manifold, as more and more people, organizations and, even the governments depend on news material for information and decision-making. I am pleased to know that the Directorate-General Public Relations of the Government of Punjab is going to publish a departmental newsletter ‘DGPR Vantage.’ I hope the newsletter, and other initiatives of the DGPR department would augment the government efforts to project the rich heritage, culture and social initiatives of the province which have made it the heartland of Pakistan.
