It has been a busy couple months at Camp Susque since the end of summer camp. Since you left camp we havetaken down the beds, tents, and tee pees and have started picking up lots of acorns and leaves. Although it is notquite as boisterous as the weeks of summer camp, we are still staying quite busy. In September, we held our first ever Harvest Festival which featured the 2nd annual Trail Run. It was an incredible day! Including the 200+ people that ran the race and fun run, we had nearly 1000 people come to camp to enjoy great food, live music, hay rides, and lots more! Mark your calendars for next year’s festival on September 23rd.The following weekend we hosted our first Youth Summit with youth groups from sixdifferent churches for a weekend-long retreat. Although we had rain for most of theweekend, we still took the opportunity to go for a hike, play games outside, and listen toChief Bill Klees talk to us about placing our identity in Christ.During the week days we have held field trips for several local schools and have various School of Discovery classeseach week. That is just a very quick snapshot of the activities that have taken place at Susque over the past two months. What have you been up to? We would love to hear from you! We can even forward any messages on to your summer counselor for you. Feel free to call the office to say “Hi” or send an e-mail to [email protected] Susque Campfire Recipe2 1/2 Cups Rice Susque Gold 4 Cups DicedPrecooked Chicken Directions: Gold Spice2 Cups Peas Using dutch oven, fry rice in butter until it starts to 1 tsp. Our relationship with God is now described in four ways:  Chosen Race: W e ar e in the special fa m ily o f Go d  Royal Priesthood: W e have dir ect access to Go d in pr ayer and Scr iptu r e  Holy Nation: W e ar e u nited to o ther Chr istians in the K ingdo m o f Go d  People for His own possession: Go d has special plans fo r u s to br ing Him glo r yYou’ll notice that the writer, Peter, doesn’t say that we’re called together by where we’re from, who our relatives are, the color of our skin, or our favorite sports team. He says that we are joined together in God’s family because we have Jesus in our hearts and because of that have beenadopted by God! Now God looks down on us with love and sees us as perfect and able to carry out His plans for you on Earth.
