Day campers will experience many of the activitiesand experiences found in our overnight camps but still be able tosleep in their own bed at night!Campers will spend most of their time at our Day Camp campusjust outside of Williamsport and travel to Camp Susque forvarious activities in the afternoon. YOUNG EXPLORERS CAMP 4 Entering Grades 1-3 | June 21-24Asafe, interactive, four-day, three-night program designed to introduce younger campers to the experience of anovernight camp. Here they are free to make new friends and try new experiences along with theircounselor and cabin group. 11 HELPFUL INFO & POLICIES To ensure a positive experience Registration Confirmation Your child will be enrolled once we receive his/her application and non-refundable $100 deposit. Upon enrollment, you will receive a confirmation email. What does camp look like? Our interactive map on susque.org will give you a birds-eye view of camp, as well as the opportunity to peek inside every building! Area & Cabin Groups For Boys and Girls camps, campers are divided into three areas.Typically, areas are composed of campers entering grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-11. Cabin groups of up to 7 campers are then determined by bunk request, age, and directors’ discretion. Lodging Campers will stay in rustic platform tents or cabins. Lodging locations are arranged by the camper groups mentioned above. A shower house with hot showers, toilets, and plenty of sinks is close by. Supervision Campers are supervised at all times by at least one qualified counselor. A low counselor-camper ratio of at most 1:7 is maintained for all tent/cabin groups. Senior leadership are on the grounds 24/7. Medical Care Medical care is provided by an on-site, full-time nurse, with access to a physician’s clinic. Camp Susque does not pay medical expenses. FAMILY CAMPS 12For the WHOLE family! | August 6-12, August 13-19Family Camps provide an opportunity for families to take a break from their daily routines and enjoy each other’scompany while we do the cooking, cleaning, and entertainment.Daily chapels allow a time for your family to grow togetherin Christ as well as worship with other families. Families maychoose between many different lodging and meal plan optionsto suit your needs. Susque offers two Family Camp weeks: Susque Family Camp Classic Family Camp Formerly known as “Homeschool Classic Family Camp offers a Family Camp”, Susque Family Camp relaxed schedule, providing opportunities for families to make their own adventure includes many traditional Susque for the week.
