ANIMALISM IS REAL A featured story done by: Elizabeth Coye Based on chapter 1-2 of animal farm In this story many acts of rebellion happened between the Famer and the animals. One of the many that mainly start of this war between farmer Jones and the animals was because farmer Jones got in a drunken sleep once again and he neglected to feed the animal. Shortly after the animals had a meeting in the barn at the request of Old Major who was slowly dying. He told the animals that they must fight against the humans that were mistreating them. He taught them an old song he learnt called Beasts of England which the quickly learnt and began to sing and then Farmer Jones heard them and shot his gun which made the animals run to bed. Old major dies peacefully three nights later and the animals carry out their plan of rebellion. They break into the store-shed and the reward of this rebellion was that they got double of the food they would usually get. 1

THE EDITORIAL BY KALLISSA CASIMIRO Animalism By: Kallissa Casimiro Animal farm, is a novel written by George Orwell the story is about farm animals who rebel against their farmer, hoping to create a society where animals are equally free and happy. animalism is the theory that human persons are animals and animals are human persons. However, as time goes on and the pigs seize more power, they change the commandments until animalism is reduced to a phrase. “beasts of England\" is the song taught by old major to the animals the song fires up the animals in their rebellion and freedom from humans the song contains anti-human and pro-animal sentiment this is what unites the animals at the start of the book. it symbols change for the animals the animals host a meeting every Sunday for their flag raising ceremony. the flag is green with a white hoof and horn inside. it shows the animals can be human everything that has happened in the book is showing that animals and humans are alike. 2

Ask yourself what all animals you want and how many, and who will help take care of them. Think about the life you are living now and the effects of taking care of them. Provide a good, sturdy, and safe shelter for the animals. Feed all the animals on a regular basis. Try not to hit nor harm the animals in any way, so that you can gain their respect, trust, and likeliness towards you. Interact with the animals, get to know them all, and treat them with love and care. Don’t treat the animals like humans because they would want to start copying human traits and actions.
