The Radha Kaliandas Daryanani Charitable Trust (RKDCT) is a charitable organization (NGO) registered in October 1982 under the Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950. The Project of the Trust was inaugurated by the then Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Shri C Subramaniam, in the year 1991 and in 1993 His Excellency Dr PC Alexander launched the Rural Integrated Project Sai Baba Seva Dham at Kanhe. The vision of the Trust is “In Service of Humanity”. All the services would be provided without discrimination of colour, caste, creed or religion. The objective of the project was to provide comprehensive services through its many social initiatives for overall rehabilitation of the rural marginalized groups; disabled, underprivileged women and children, to prevent disability, to promote social awareness and community education and rehabilitation of the girl child in particular through the different NGOs who were then located at Sai Baba Seva Dham. The Rural Integrated project was the first of its kind in India with the aim to uplift the rural Poor The RKDCT & the Indian Army has always been appreciative of the Indian Army by responding with gratitude to the Acts of gallantry and supreme sacrifice of the jawans and officers of our Armed Forces have made . Gift donation to the Army Law college-Indian Army- 6 acres & 12 buildings-16th July 2018 The highest donation to the Army in independent India. . Second donation of land to further expand Army Law college 9th September 2019 The above constitute the largest donation to the Indian army by an individual trust in independent India
Other milestones 1) A joint fundraising event with Army Wives Welfare Association,(AWWA) 2) Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center Kirkee August 1997 inauguration by Shri Subramanium Chief Secretary Govt. of Maharashta of the four dwelling units constructed by the Trust for the families of the paraplegic army 3) War Memorial Pune August 1998 was the first ever post- independence war memorial dedicated to the Nation by the Governor P.C. Alexander. The first War Memorial ever to be erected by citizen’s participation. The R KDC Trust was the single largest donor for the War Memorial 4) Army Wives Welfare Association of Maharashtra & Gujarat Area, Mumbai In 1990 presented 100 sewing machines to the war widows and deserving cases through, Army Wives Welfare Association HQ Southern Command Pune presented sewing machines Army Wives Welfare Association of Maharashtra & Gujarat Area, Mumbai In 2001 for the Earthquake Relief measures, in Gujarat 5) Army Central Welfare Fund 2014 for J & K flood affected families of Army personnel .ASHA School Pune under the aegis of AWWA in 2017 for the purchase of equipment for the ASHA School children. The purpose of the donation was to kindle the hearts and minds of all citizens, including corporate entities, philanthropic organizations and high net individuals to contribute towards the welfare of the Armed Forces in a meaningful way.
