Raindrops are the perfect lullaby for a restless soul. Lavanya S., VIII B, 2024 Artwork on cover page: Sabhya Arora, XII F, 2024
Editor's Note Saludos, queridos lectores The pitter-patter of raindrops on rooftops, the earthy aroma of wet soil, and the cozy moments spent with a hot cup of tea - these are just a few of the cherished memories that the monsoon brings. I extend my sincerest gratitude to those whose creativity gave form to this edition through which the intangible can be felt, the unseen envisioned, and the unheard harmonized. \"And the rain was parading as if heaven was waiting,\" the poetic melodies echo, as if inviting us to witness the magical dance of water and earth. Within these pages, time slows, and petrichor mingles with the ink of our words. The rain, with its ceaseless cadence, whispers to us of transformation and renewal, a reminder that even \"when you're young, you run, but you come back to what you need.\" The monsoon, with its rejuvenating showers, serves as a reminder of the importance of renewal, growth, and embracing change. Just as the rain quenches the earth's thirst, our creative endeavors aim to nourish mind and soul. May you find solace in the spaces between words, clarity in the midst of ambiguity, and inspiration as boundless as the rain that nurtures the earth. Let the stories transport you to rain-soaked streets, let the poems evoke the scent of wet leaves, and let the images paint vivid landscapes in your mind. Ashwika Amit

Rain The slight, pleasant breeze of air, And the sweet sound of drops of rain, Children dancing everywhere, And the raindrops running down the window pane. The sweet smell of petrichor, And the raindrops’ rhythm and beat, It’s all just so magical, colorful umbrellas all over the streets. Is the rain a shower of blessings from God? Or, a way to get the world going? Is it a message of unity and bond? Or, a way to get the rivers flowing? Rain never differentiates between land or water nor between any country. Rain never sees any borders, and pours selflessly. It just goes wherever people are in need, And never sees anyone’s glories. It’s the human deeds, that converts it into a fury. Yet, it is the is the most awaited season whether it is child, youth or old, it is the celebration of every region, it is way more precious than gold. Pragya Dehal, VIII A
Monsoon Glistening drops falling on trees, frogs and peacocks put at ease. Elegant peacocks dance with grace, upon which all fix their gaze. Misty clouds hovering above the lands, intercepting sunlight which they withstand. Dazzling colours of a rainbow shine, all in unison together in line. A bliss for cultivators of rice, eagerly waiting patient and wise. Thirsty beings take a sip from a pond, eternal is the Earth and rain's bond. Worms in large numbers teem out, The Monsoon has come, there is no doubt! Sajid Hasan, X A
My Class! My class is the best, It is nothing like the rest. We have artists, singers, and toppers, As well as naughty backbenchers. We are always in a group like a flock of pigeons And together we rule our region. My class is the best It is nothing like the rest. Our work is neat and clean And when there is mischief, we are nowhere to be seen. My class is the best It is nothing like the rest. We submit our work on time, And participate in activities of singing, dancing or mime. Atharv Kavadia, VII A
Reminders Of The Rain The rain reminds me to be myself, As beauty lies in it. It tells me how pretty it might be to be a mess, And with others I shall not try to fit. It reminds me that it's ok to cry, For the pain to go away. Like when the clouds cry, On the land left all dry, With beautiful fragrance and flowers it sways. It reminds me to be positive Like the rays of the sun on a rainy day. As a rainbow can be seen only at the right time, And that's when the colourful band in your sky will shine. It reminds me of the couple from my window I see, Dancing in the middle of the road, young and free. It reminds me to not care about what others say, Their opinions of me should be destroyed like a castle made of clay. It reminds me of a child rowing paper boats in puddles And if it tears, with his parents he cuddles. It reminds me to care about those in my life As they're the ones around me to always hype. The rain reminds me to live with liberty Like a butterfly, I should feel free. What I do should make me happy, And not allow others to make me feel crappy. Aadya Singh, IX A
A li'l serving of French, please...

Dragon and Flip Flap’s Day Out Once upon a time, there were two friends named Dragon and Flip flap. Dragon was a dragonfly, and Flip flap was a butterfly. They loved going on adventures together. One day, they decided to go on an adventure to the nearby pond. On the way, a friendly honeybee named Bumble also joined them. They continued their journey, sharing stories and laughter along the way. When they reached the pond, Dragon told them that his friend Denny, another dragonfly, lived there. They found Denny flying around, and the four friends had a wonderful time together. On their way back, they came across a garden that looked sad and messy. They decided to help clean it up. As they worked, other children saw them and joined in. With everyone's effort, the garden became beautiful again. The four friends felt happy and proud of what they had accomplished.
