Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream From The Editor Dear Educators, Greetings from Educacio World and Education India Magazine!!! \"One of life's greatest pleasure lies in watching a plant grow - from seed to seedling, to green branch to bough, to flower, to fruit. \"It is heartening to know that Education India Magazine, shares best practices and resources for empowering educators and to spread the best education practices worldwide through second issue of the 100 Global Educator Magazine (Always a Step Ahead). As Bruce Lee said – Life itself is your teacher, and you are in a state of constant learning. In this issue, were revisiting a few major issues of the past year like how workplaces have changed and how higher education adapted to the challenges. We also talk with community leaders who share insights about how their organizations and the schools in general have responded to the pandemic. They also share how their schools have cared for their most valuable resource.Nothing can encompass and convey our emotions better than our art. Thus, this collection embodies our passion for our world and the people in it, our animosity towards the greed of our kind, our mixed feelings towards COVID - 19 and our compassion for Nature's creatures. Message Education India | November, 2022 \"Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those, who don't rest on the laurels The Power of Edu Leaders Dream of the past.\" We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we grew up in, the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to pause and reflect on this entire system of Education. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds? Questions such as these are factors that motivate us to go through a continuous process of reflection and hence we at Educacio World work at implementing a well-balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of our Schools will not just love their school years but truly be prepared to face life's challenges. It was Margaret Mead who said \"Children must be taught how to think, not what to think\". Aristotle once said that, \"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.\" Even as we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, This Education India Magazine is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum of creative skills ranging from writing to editing and even in designing the magazine. I congratulate the entire editorial team for their hard work and dedication that has resulted in the publication of this issue of the 100 Global Educator, Ed India magazine, November Edition, Volume II. Education India | November, 2022 Message The Power of Edu Leaders Dream For years English teaching and learning has been integral in teaching systems across plethora of non-English speaking countries for a reason that the world always had the need for lingua franca to be used for shared purposes in various walks of life including but not limited to business, education, communication, and above all for globalization. Speaking of globalization, it is of paramount importance to pay due attention to the greater integration of rural communities into the relative pace and standard of global development, the rural areas which have been falling behind in terms of advanced mechanisms to inject vitality into their existing or even non-existent failed systems. One such system that has been long faltering or struggling is the supervisory support of rural teachers teaching foreign languages like English in particular. English has become largely prevalent in our lives which can be seen as the direct impact of governments investing heavily in the popularization of the universal language. However, despite the intensity and volume of efforts put into making English popular in the countryside there are however, still problems that should be addressed in timely fashion without which the far-reaching effects may not be clearly seen or felt. Till date not many research papers were dedicated to signifying the importance of language teaching in rural areas and how it could be reinforced by the help of uninterrupted teacher education system in such remote places. Of all those available papers, it is clear that most authors refer to similar issues in regard with rural teaching scenery such as lack of autonomy, absence of ICT tools, isolation of the rural schools on a bigger global picture, lack of funding and of course near non-existent teacher PD programs. I take a moment to cordially commend Educacio World and India Magazine for their joint contribution in making difference across the communities and worldwide at large. Global Educator Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Rania Lampou Global Educator, STEM Instructor Greek Ministry of Education, Greece The Secrets Of Highly Reflective Classrooms Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

The secrets of Highly Reflective Classrooms Highly reflective classrooms are more effective than reflective individuals because many people are involved in the reflective process. Collaboration in combination with the reflective process makes problem-solving easier and helps the group come up with the best possible solutions. Can reflection be taught? It seems that reflection can be and must be taught. A reflection task requires five areas: -Physiological that is related to brain activity. -Social that is related to collaboration. -Emotional that provides motivation -Constructive that creates new knowledge and new patterns of thinking. -Habit-forming area. There are three stages in the reflective process; awareness of the problem, critical analysis of the situation and development of a new perspective. Highly reflective classrooms have some secrets. Posing reflective questions is the first secret. Reflective questions should focus on what is important and they usually start with “why” and “how”. Asking factual questions like “Who?” “When?” or “Where?” will not lead students to the higher levels of reflection. Another important secret is visualization and that can store a lot of information in the working memory. The ability to leverage this process needs to be strengthened in all students because visual information causes a great deal of brain activity. Thinking through journals is an important technique that provides connection to prior knowledge and can lead to insights into the present lesson. It is certain that students can always write something useful in their journals. Writing about an experience provides a feeling of control that may be helpful in the beginning. The goal of reflection in the classroom is not to find answers that are always right but to find the best possible answers. In many classrooms, children are rewarded for quick answers but this rarely leads to creative solutions. An effective teacher constantly reminds students to take time to think. The best questions are: “Why do you think this and “How do you know it”? Students should be encouraged to develop the habit of problem solving rather than being discouraged when a problem appears too complex. There are many ways in which teachers can help learners to learn. For example, the goals of the lesson should be stated in a way that tasks have value for students personally. Secondly, teachers must make sure that students understand exactly what is required of them. Another important secret of reflective teaching is leading the students to solve problems in an independent and autonomous way. Furthermore, in a very reflective class, students set their own goals and are able to evaluate their own progress. In addition, learners interact with teachers, parents or peers in order to move to the next level of knowledge. In this way, social interactions, collaborations and discussions are important in the reflective and learning process. The thinking classroom encourages co-operative learning which leads to а sense of belonging that every individual is valued. According to Steve Burnage, highly effective teachers have seven habits: they enjoy what they do, they make a difference, they are positive, they show commitment, they know their students (and parents), they are organized, they expect the best and finally they reflect. Nowadays that progress in Artificial Intelligence is a threat to refection and to human mind activity in general, it is more urgent than ever to develop reflective skills in our students. Humans need to evolve and reflective thinking is necessary for the process of evolution. Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Dr. Seema Negi Director – Principal, Sanjeewani World School Mumbai “Dedicated to prepare the irreplaceable human capital for the uncertain future!” Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Dr. Seema Negi Her expertise in the field of education has been that of a visionary, Dr. Seema Negi’s leadership has always been dynamic and passionate. She has prevailed in the field of education for more than two decades; hence she believes she was destined to be a teacher. She is an epitome of sheer dedication and hard work. As a team player herself, she has always believed in transformational leadership. With a great sense of pride, she provides training for teachers on how a balance can be maintained between technology driven value-based education. She is bestowed with many prestigious awards and has made 4 world records in different categories. She leads by example hence she is the EXAMPLE, for many to follow. Her vision is to make students ready for the uncertain future. Sanjeevani World School ensures that each activity conducted in school is preparing students to become an asset not just for our country but for the world. A School with a Difference In an age where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is trending, students were not monitored by invigilators but on CCTV cameras. The ‘No Invigilator Examination’ initiative is our endeavour to foster and imbibe in our learners the value of ‘integrity’ and ‘honesty’. “No Bag Day” - This one day gives students a respite from carrying books to school. It breaks the monotony of the same rigmarole in the school. Teachers get a chance too to tap their creative side by implementing activities in class pertaining to their own subjects and make learning fun, both for students as well as teachers. Achiever’s Day We incorporate Achiever’s Day to undo with the mundane way of handing over report cards at the end of the academic year. We believe that every child is an achiever because he / she is moving on to the next level. The very term ‘Achiever’ gets our learners motivated and it boosts their morale and self-confidence to aspire for more. Library Leisure is an innovation that was brought about and incorporated by our Language teachers. English, Hindi and Marathi teachers take up library sessions where students don’t just read that happens usually in most schools, but they enact a book, have activities pertaining to the book and various games too are conducted. We also have a few bean bags in the library and a child has to earn the leisure of sitting on it. He / she earns it by giving a gist or summary about the book that respective child has issued. PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Alliance) The PTSA is an initiative of our school with the maxim “My voice counts”. Our students are an integral part of our school. So, our belief is “For the students, by the students, of the students”, hence with the PTSA being formed it’s not just parents and teachers who come together for planning and decision making in a healthy way for the development of the school but the students of the senior most grade too share their perspective. PRINCIPAL KI PADHSHALA The name itself suggests that this session is taken by the principal Dr. Seema Negi herself. A ‘session with the principal’ automatically sets in fear and has its own inhibitions but this one is special. Learners look forward to this one session called ‘PRINCIPAL KI PADHSHALA’. It’s that one session when learning is beyond academics. This is the time where there’s a special connect and bond, a wonderful rapport created by the Principal to change the mindset that a session with the Principal too can be fun and enjoyable. This is the time there’s discussion and a talk with the principal related to any topic under the sun. Dr. Seema believes ‘in an era where a child longs to be heard and has no one to talk to, this is a small initiative by her to let children know that she is always available and is all ears to whatever a child wants to speak or convey’. Exhibition - Gyan Manthan Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family quoted by Kofi Annan, and in Sanjeevani World School this quote comes to life. Our maxim comes to life with a two-day exhibition held in our school which we fondly call ‘Gyan Manthan’. The name itself suggests that there’s knowledge churned to get the best result. The entire school comes together for this exhibit. Students and teachers along with non-teaching staff get together to ensure the exhibition is a huge success. “Dil se DilTak” - Parent Connect Initiative Direct Dil se diltak – Is a parent-connect initiative for the holistic development of our learners. Our Educators spend quality time connecting with parents after school hours to lend their ears and listen to the concern’s parents have pertaining to each child and how the school along with parents can be a catalyst to enhance positive growth in our learners. Teachers’ Day Parents are the first teachers, to take this forward, Sanjeevani World School carved a niche once again by sending across this message to all teachers that we are teachers because of our students & parents are the first teachers. The school stands convicted with this belief ‘When we work together it will be symphony. It will build strong emotional & social connect, a child will have secure space, positive eco system.’ In an endeavour to express and gratitude to all the parents for their never-tiring spirit and selfless love, the school paid visits to some of the homes of students to venerate the teacher in every parent. Appreciation Day We believe ‘Recognition is a reward in itself. Any form of appreciation, even a small word, is important.’ In lieu of the mundane Teachers Day celebration, we initiated the Appreciation Day when every staff: teaching and non-teaching are praised for their sheer dedication and commitment. Digital Literacy With technology taking over the world, we have Cyber Ambassadors in our school. These are the children who are computer wizards. Our ambassadors ensure that everything related to computers will be secured, information wouldn’t be hacked and every data will be protected. Global Citizenship Our Gen Z are tech savvy and are no less than any IT expert, however, we also enhance them to be citizens of the globe. Out of the seventeen goals of Sustainable Development Goals we have each grade working on goal hand in hand with our educators to equip them and to make them globally ready. Empowering School Leaders Great leaders harness personal courage, capture the hearts and minds of others and empower new leaders to make the world a better place. – Maxine Driscoll, Founder Think Strategic. We ensure our educators learning and grow because leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Our educators attend various workshops, seminars, related to their subjects and also workshops on Life Skills, 21st century skills, not only to get equipped and empowered but also to handle nuances faced by many educational schools. All in all, with great delight, we can say without a doubt or inhibition that the vision we had in mind before the inception of the school and shortly we will be stepping out of the gestation stage, we have well managed to keep our promises. Our pursuit to ‘do things differently’ at Sanjeevani World School is a quest that will continually be explored until we break all the clichés……. The Talents Required To Conduct Research, Including Techniques And Tools That Can Be Learned, Are Known As Research Skills. Beyond The Shadow Of A Doubt, At The University, Research Is Prioritized More As Before Conducting Research For Theses Or Dissertations, Graduate And Postgraduate Students Must Develop Their Research Skills. However, Research Training Needs To Have Started Or Begun In Elementary School. (Moore, 1990 & Seago, 1992, As Cited In Meerah And Arsad, 2010, P. 512). Research Skills Are Important For Helping Learners Overcome The Problems Of Contemporary Society And Market Readiness. Before Moving On To Graduate School, Students Who Have Conducted Research At Various Educational Levels Will Develop The Skills Of Observation, Manipulation, Coordination, Internalizing The Research Attitude, The Habit Of Inquiry Or Problem-solving, And All Other Characteristics Of A Good Researcher In Addition To Knowing How To Conduct Research. In Other Words, The Techniques And Supplies Required To Address The Issue, The Gathering Of Empirical Data Or Observations, The Analysis Of The Data, And The Use Of The Results To Communicate With Others (Moore, 1990 & Seago, 1992, As Cited In Meerah And Arsad, 2010, P. 512). Interestingly Enough, There Is A Plethora Of Ways To Be Implemented By Teachers To Strengthen Students’ Research Skills, Which Are As Follows: • Formulating Questions • Observing • Selecting The Best Information • Planning • Collecting Data • Organizing Data • Interpreting Data – Summarizing • Avoid Copying – Paraphrasing • Presenting Research Findings • Practicing Close Reading Skills (I.E., Students Can Practice Identifying Language Patterns And Why They Are Important Argumentation Patterns, Logical Reasoning Patterns). Most Importantly, In Today’s Globalized And Digitalized World, Students Need To Particularly Develop Their Online Research Skills Via Educational Technology. According To Hannah Trierweiler Hudson, Students Need To Focus On Checking Sources And Evaluate Information Found Based On Accuracy, Validity, Appropriateness, Importance, And Social And Cultural Context To Achieve Data Crystallization. While Most Students Are Aware That They Should Not Believe Everything They Read Online, They Also Neglect To Adequately Evaluate Their Sources. Thus, A Useful Approach Would Be To Discuss The Standards For Judging Online Sources With Students. This Is Best Illustrated By The Table Below: SECURITY SCOPE AUTHORITY CURRENCY Is the information up to date? Does the site ask for too Is the information in- Does the information come much personal information or depth? from a trusted expert? prompt virus warnings? Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Furthermore, it is essential educators teach their students the art of asking good research questions by encouraging them to create and enhance search terms to improve research outcomes. In particular, teachers can distribute three search phrases, ranging from generic to specific, to each small group. Then, they can ask the groups to keep track of the number of results for each term and discuss how being more specific will help them find the outcomes they seek. Finally, they can ask each group to come up with three alternative search keywords for the item on their list that is the most specific and discuss how altering a few words might produce different information after comparing the outcomes. In addition, learners can be taught how to go beyond the surface and demonstrate determination by persevering in seeking knowledge to have a broad perspective. This is because while students utilize a search engine, they frequently stop at the first result because they believe it is the most reliable. Therefore, students should be encouraged to make fact trees or mind maps regarding the topic of their research, collecting at least 10 sources of data so they can fully develop their fact trees. Lastly, it is worthwhile mentioning that advanced learners or students who prepare for college/ university studies need to primarily develop their observation skills, as a presupposition for developing research skills, which can be feasible via worksheets. The figure below shows an inclusive worksheet aiming at developing close reading observation skills. To conclude, in the words of Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, a Hungarian biochemist, “research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought”, which highlights the necessity of research skills in the educational context. Patricia Gonde Ambassador head of academics, Lusitania Gender Equality and Social Justice Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Gender Equality and Social Justice The peaceful coexistence of human beings is premised on the constant and equal supply of their needs and wants distributed equally across all genders and social status circles. The evolution of the ideology of empowerment, independence and self- sustenance has culminated to the rise of the gender equality gospel and the loud outcry for social justice to finally be head. The equal distribution of opportunities, wealth and privileges across all genders has been the basis that has fuelled the move of gender equality to be a global movement.Racial injustice, the oppression of people of colour and ignorance to their delicate economic and psychological plight has been the root for the need of social justice awareness to be recognized across the world. Therefore gender equality and social justice work hand in hand in advocating for the non-violent fight for equal rights, opportunities and privileges across all genders and social strata.Like Siamese twins gender equality and social justice have worked hand in hand to ensure the growth and recognition of rising women and people of colour who have defied all the odds to occupy the highest positions in global economic, social and political echelons. Imagine a world where opportunities are distributed fairly among all without the bias of neither masculinity nor race, where people across all social, economic and political strata are served an equal dish of resources that they can both fully utilize and make this world a much better place. The transformation and change is hidden in the realization and appreciation of the fact that both ends of the gender spectrum are blessed with inherent capabilities and abilities and if utilized-an develop and sponsor the growth of every facet of the livelihoods of people. Through education, the minds of people have been emancipated from the notion that was predominant in the years that have passed of blindly resting all hope of social, economic and political development on the male gender not realizing that the female is equally capable of scaling dizzy heights and thus change and transform the way we perceive and see things. Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Back then the belief was that a girl was going to be raised to be a wife,to serve and glorify her future husband and even those male counterparts or colleagues who surrounded her. Bound by these toxic ideologies that were bordered on abuse and oppression-the bright, powerful and gifted women of this world ended up being just unfulfilled potential, bright studs that never got to fulfill their dreams and like shooting stars, they illuminated the bright spacious skies and quickly faded into oblivion. Generations later and thanks to the changing of the global perception regarding issues of gender equality the world is now looking at the issue from the lens of fairness, honesty and truth. Toxic masculine thought patterns that previously dominated people’s viewpoint of issues of gender empowerment have slowly dissipated from our minds and everyone can now see clearer without bias, doubt or pre judice. The rise of strong women who have dared to change the world has seen the crusade of equal rights, chances and opportunities to all spreading to a wider global audience. Strong, daring, powerful female intellectuals have blazed a trail and defied all the odds in transforming the narrative that surrounded the issue of gender equality. With a spring in their step and a jewel to their crown they have risen through the ranks and have been overarchievers, torch bearers and pioneers in various social, economic and political spheres. With gender equality the world has realized that women can be Chief Executive Officers, Board Chairladies, Ministers, Headmistresses and as seen recently in Liberia, Tanzania, Malawi and the United States of America where the political tide has greatly shifted-we have seen women occupy very high offices of political power.Michelle Obama was a Havard Law graduate a lifetime before she became arguably the most powerful woman in world politics. Her meteoric rise to the apex of global superstardom as Barack Obama’s running mate and supporting wife was aided by a strong background that left little or no room for compromising the future of the girlchild by imposing on them toxic masculine undertones that deprive them from chasing their dreams. Therefore a world where everyone has the realization that women are as capable, gifted and talented to archieve anything and everything they put their minds to will cause a ripple effect in tracing the roots to fight other social atrocities like social injustice that have plagued humanity for a very long time. The foundation to fighting the psychological and physical torture of social injustice is laid by not being ignorant of important issues like gender equality because a world where the distribution of social justice and gender equality are not uniform is simply non-existant. One cannot function without the other-social justice and gender equality work hand in hand and failure to embrace their importance causes repercussions that can supercede catastrophe. Events that have dominated the news headlines over the past few years have cast a gloomy dark light on the treatment of people of colour and the failure by necessary authorities-those chosen to uphold the values of its purpose-to enforce everything that it stands for. Therefore it is incumbent upon us as the custodians that push the global message of social justice to be heard. Great men that advocated for social justice through non-violent organized ideologies include Malcom X and Martin Luther King Junior. Tortured by a law enforcement system that put a barricade on every single attempt they made for their powerful voices to be heard and their actions to be recognized, these heroes of social justice were relentless in their pursuit of a fair and just world for all where everyone could live freely without being bound racial injustices that boardered on psychological torture and abuse. Regardless of their efforts being deemed futile because of an oppressive rule that wasn’t willing to bend backwards ,their voices couldn’t be muffled as what they preached has resonated with humanity because their message was that of love, peace and unity across all racial and social divides. With social justice comes love, peace and a unifying purpose of living according to one accord and preaching a consistent message of spreading love, goodness and kindness to everyone regardless of their gender and social status. With gender equality there is motivation and confidence to make a deliberate push to improve one’s socio-economic status hence in turn improving the country’s economic and social status. Social justice is premised on the fight for equal rights for all and gender equality advocates for equal sharing of opportunities, resources and privileges regardless of gender. When exercised wholly and fully gender equality ensures security, peace, love, independence and self-sustenance. The world can never be a bed of roses but at least we can colour it with love, peace and harmony through the relentless push and spreading of the movement of social justice and gender equality. Feruz Akbarov International ESL/EFL Instructor , ETA Uzbekistan The modern image of an English teacher in Uzbekistan Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

To start with, the word innovation has been quite a buzzword across-the-board and in the context of ELT in particular. Teaching is an old trade though it is constantly refined through myriads of approaches, philosophies and techniques. Similarly, the task remains to be the same before the teachers of present times which is to blend teaching with innovation and harness its benefits to enhance learning and teaching experiences in the long run. To put that in perspective, modern English teachers are the ones who are multifaceted in terms of skillset and are ready to embrace novelties and the challenges that come along down the path. In October 2020 a presidential decree, a 10-year agenda, was passed in Uzbekistan to bolster the efforts of promoting the learning and teaching of foreign languages specifically English language which gained a political attention of the elite. Ever since, the importance of English language in Uzbekistan has risen in status. However, new doors of opportunities for the teachers of English in the country have also offered goals, tasks, and responsibilities to handle if they are to retain their teaching positions. Who are the modern English teachers in Uzbekistan now? The answer may be quite tricky for the traditional impression and image of a teacher is no longer valid. As a matter of fact, teacher- centered and deductive approaches are out of fashion. What seems to be missing in the bigger picture of ELT in Uzbekistan? One of the salient qualities of innovation is networking! Today’s English teachers of Uzbekistan are in great need of professional networking to further establish themselves as the true masters of their profession. Owing to global pandemic and the resulting restrictions in movement and offline events pushed teachers out of their regular routine and traditional comfort zone. Teachers were forced to get themselves acquainted with ICT tools and integrate them into their classes. The idea of modern English teachers did not come into being overnight or all of a sudden in the form of technological advancement or global pandemic. The modern image of an English teacher is the prerequisite of changing times. Besides, the question of modern English teachers being innovators has been quite critical. There are a number of queries that need to be addressed in regard with innovation. Have English teachers really aligned their teachings with those of market needs and demands? Or did they only improve their mastery of use of technology to some extent? What has been brought about to their classes in terms of innovation? Irrespective of the answers to the abovementioned questions, one has to ensure there is a compatibility between what students are learning and the application of their knowledge in the real world. The 21st century language teachers are innovators in a broader sense whose teachings are more purpose-driven than ever before. Now, they consider their learners’ objectives, wishes, and needs to effectively deliver classes. One such effective teaching technique is certainly none other than gamification which incorporates the elements of learning, fun, challenge, motivation and reward. English teachers in Uzbekistan may not have utilized the effects of gamification to a large extent in their classes. The notion of learning a language requires student engagement in an amusing manner. However, fun cannot be the only target in the overall teaching and learning process. Confusingly though the term gamification does not relate to playing games and having fun only. Instead, it implies to integrate wholesome approach in English teaching while enhancing student involvement. The role of a modern English teacher as an innovator comes down to the fact that he/she is capable of responding to the societal demands by fostering life skills on top of language competencies in their learners. Each day that you work with students, you have the potential to make a lasting impression. Almost all of us can remember something positive that one of our teachers said to us or the class as a whole. There were lessons that stick in our minds and impact our viewpoints for years.Becoming a teacher means you’ll be molding future generations through the curriculum you set and bits of personal wisdom you impart. You’ll have the ability and power to teach life lessons as well as core subjects. There’s a good chance that you may be spending more waking hours with these children than their own parents. This means you’ll be the one to help teach them social skills, time management, conflict resolution, how to cope with stressors and how to focus on a task. If we were lucky, we had a teacher who is indelible in our minds. They showed how much they cared about us and their subject, they inspired us to be better, push harder, go further. Now is your turn to be that teacher for someone else. 2. You’ll get variety in your days. Why become a teacher? Well, if the thought of going to a cubicle and doing the same tasks every day from 9-5 sounds dissatisfying, you may flourish in the classroom! Teaching is a job that thrives on variety with two days rarely being the same. You have the ability to spice it up as you work through new units in the curriculum, discover new topics to teach and instruct new students each year. If you teach high school, you may teach the same lesson content several times in one day, but with new faces and personalities each period, it’s unlikely that the actual lesson will unfold the same way twice. There’s always the chance that students will ask different questions, have different struggles and different reactions to the subject matter. Your days will likely be interesting and varied, making for days that don’t feel as monotonous or sluggish. 3. You can share your love of learning. If you’ve ever been taught by a teacher who absolutely loved their subject, you knew that it made the class more enjoyable. In fact, research shows that two of the most important elements of teaching are the quality of instruction and how well a teacher knows their subject material.1 Getting your students excited about topics you love is just one way you can share a love of learning, you’ll also get to delve into new topics and learn right along with the children. You’ll also have the chance to become a student again. As emerging technologies and instructional methods are introduced, and historic events unfold in real-time, you’ll always be learning something new. 4. You’ll have great job security. While the specific needs vary by grade, school, district and even state, the demand for well-trained and qualified teachers is clear.2 Some jobs may have been replaced by modern technology, but there will always be a need for teachers. If you’re willing to put in the hard work and establish yourself as a great instructor, you can rest easy knowing that you’ve got a job that you can count on for years to come. There’s also a high level of mobility within this field. You can move to areas where the need for teachers is greater, or you can leave education and go on to become an administrator, counselor or even a social worker. Teaching is also a skill that can transfer nearly anywhere. If you train and become a certified teacher, you’ll be able to work almost anywhere in the world. Whether you’re teaching English or a special subject, you could theoretically teach and explore the globe at the same time. International schools and education programs are expanding globally and look for instructors who have trained and are certified. 5. Fun is encouragedThe best teachers bring their passion, personality and sense of humor to the classroom. Great teachers are committed to finding new and different ways to deliver content so that it’s more interesting for the students. The enthusiasm you bring to the table will likely be mirrored by your students, which makes the classroom is a highly energizing environment. The greatest thing you can do is to let your unique personality elevate the learning experience. Use your individual gifts and talents to inspire and motivate your students. There will be days that feel tougher than others, your humor can help you move forward.Teaching is also a highly social job. Becoming a teacher means you’ll be joining a team of colleagues who you can lean on in hard times and laugh with during the good. You’ll be interacting with your fellow faculty members as well as students and their parents. Becoming a teacher means becoming a key member of the community as you get to know families. 6. You’ll have a pretty great schedule. If you’re becoming a teacher because you think you’ll have a light work schedule, you may find yourself disappointed. There will be times when you’ll need to do lesson planning after the school day has ended. Many times this work can be taken home though. If you have children of your own, the scheduling works out well since you’ll likely be on the same schedule and have the same days off. The holidays that teachers get are undoubtedly a pretty great perk of the job. If you become a teacher you may get nearly eight weeks off each summer, paid time off in winter and spring. Most teachers also get paid holidays in addition to the breaks and professional development days without students so that they can have a quiet work day. 7. There are intangible rewards. For many teachers, the small intangible rewards are some of the best parts of the job. There are little joys that come from teaching children and even teens. The funny things they say, even when they don’t realize they’re funny, their silly habits, the insightful questions they ask and the amusing stories they’ll write all make the job more satisfying. The memories you’ll make and the keepsakes you’ll get are things you’ll treasure for years. But nothing can beat the moment when a student who has been struggling with a concept “gets” it. The sight of their joy when it “clicks” for them and they celebrate their accomplishment is likely one of the greatest rewards of teaching. This is more than a job. When it comes down to it, teaching is much more than just a way to get a paycheck. Becoming a teacher means making a difference in the lives of children, and shaping them into the adults they’ll become with lessons that will last a lifetime. In today’s world, we face new challenges, come across new opportunities and harbour the responsibility of shaping a new generation of young minds. There are numerous philosophies, methodologies and techniques which have been defined over vast periods of research and behavioural analysis; however, a few of them stand out when implemented pragmatically. One such education pedagogy is that of Experiential Learning – the art of imparting knowledge through practice and involvement. I have had the privilege of interacting with a myriad of students from diverse backgrounds, a variety of cultures and unique personalities over the past twenty years; and I have extensively experimented with learning methodologies which help maintain student engagement throughout the class while also delivering information of significant practical quality. Of these distinguished approaches, the one that yielded best results for me, as a teacher of one of the most misinterpreted subjects – Mathematics – was Experiential Learning. Students, especially those in Primary and Middle School, love to get involved in physical activity and dabble around with different tools and props rather than having to exclusively read and write. Activities, Quizzes, Projects, Presentations, Group Discussions and Peer Interactions all are forms of learning by doing. I highly recommend experimenting with this philosophy, if not adopting it on a larger scale. It offers a brilliant perspective of a child’s mind and allows us to think along the lines of how a subject can be made interesting enough for students to naturally begin to take interest in it. Mankind is on the threshold of an age of technological advance . In this age, you should not just be a part of the crowd, instead you have to develop your own individuality and your own uniqueness. You are not just accidental, but you are an important part of this creation. To realize and live this you should not focus your energies only on getting a college diploma, a good job. or making money. Instead you must stand firm in your own values, convictions and commitments. Sorrows come, but life is not all trials and tribulations. Deserts of affliction can be dark and dreadful, but here and there between the rocks you’ll find a green Oasis. During in high school Anil seemed a highly competitive student. He got good marks with little effort and his classmates noted him . “ Most likely to succeed”. After graduation he had his pick of jobs. Anil joined a sales department of insurance and did well at first. He quickly hit a plateau. Bored with sales he tried management. Again the same pattern developed: he thought he will excel but soon fizzled like a wet cracker . On the other hand Sunil regarded himself as an ‘average ‘ and got into insurance and did reasonably well. He was put with several big sales- persons and was terribly intimidated. Sunil came to know that these achievers were no more geniuses than he himself was. They were ordinary people who had their sights high and then found a way to achieve their goals. If average people could dream big why can't Sunil , an average person too. Why do ordinary individuals like Sunil excel . Theodore Roosevelt once said, “ The average man who is successful is not a genius. He is a man who has merely ordinary qualities, but who has developed those ordinary qualities to more than ordinary degree. That means “ average “ children who excel: 1. Learn Self discipline: You don’t need talents to succeed. All you need is a pot of glue . You smear some on your chair , sit down and you stick to every project until you’ve done the best you can do. Many aspiring and competitive individuals on the other hand expect too much too soon. Let qualities like “ “ “Steady and dependable and “ practical and organized “ be your watch words. 2. Bring out the best in people: You can succeed on the talents of others. Look out for people who are talented and self disciplined. Develop loyalty and affection, motivate them and when something is achieved then the credit is to be shared. When different children with different ideas sit and negotiate, they learn how to manage and come out of sticky problems. 3. Develop special skill : All cannot be good in Maths but may have an aptitude for design, or have an ability for persuading people, with training become an excellent negotiator. Once you achieve a single success then the thirst for greater success will be at your threshold. 4. Set a goal and achieve It: Setting goals and making efforts to reach them give a different vision of life. 5. Bounce back from defeat: Never lose hope, try again, for success may be tapping at your back door. Defeat is like getting a punch on your nose by someone. But it is these circumstances which builds confidence in you. Ultimately, it could be said that, there is nothing more powerful than a person with an average mind who holds his or her head high and goes about life with zest and surety whether we allow ourselves to sink beneath the burden or stand up and fight for what still can be , is our choice because it is within our power” to shape our ends “ coz we have to take the whole responsibility on our own shoulder’s and know that you are the creator of your own destiny Thanks Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Rethinking pedagogy for the twenty-first century is as crucial as identifying the new competencies that today’s learners need to develop because the student`s actions aren`t limited to receiving, sorting and storing only. On the contrary the student has a real opportunity to recognize reality and to act on that recognition. To develop the higher-order skills they now need, individuals must engage in meaningful enquiry-based learning that has genuine value and relevance for them personally and their communities. Real-world experiences merged with sustained engagement and collaboration offer opportunities for learners to construct and organize knowledge; engage in detailed research, enquiry, writing and analysis; and communicate effectively to audiences. Pedagogies that support deeper learning include personalized learning strategies, collaborative learning and informal learning. Teachers must also evolve into creative workers, jointly constructing knowledge with learners in the classroom. Teachers will stimulate deepening engagement and articulation by guiding learners to develop skills such as formulating arguments to support their positions, sharing and communicating these arguments to others using multimedia Learners are more successful at acquiring new competencies when they build strong metacognitive abilities, reflect objectively on new concepts learned, and integrate that information with their existing knowledge and skills. The process of adapting new knowledge for their own use and incorporating it into their existing conceptual frameworks will support further learning. Once new learning is integrated into existing ‘ways of knowing’, this in turn nurtures creativity and originality and establishes new cognitive habits. Project and problem-based learning are ideal instructional models for meeting the objectives of twenty-first century education, because they employ the 4Cs Principle`s – Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity . alongside ‘teaching for transfer’ and learning structured in real-world contexts. Solving real-world problems draws on multiple forms of expertise. Through recognition, human beings develop self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem. Twenty-first century pedagogy will involve engaging learners in apprenticeships for different kinds of knowledge practice, new processes of enquiry, dialogue and connectivity. The purpose of personalized learning is to get away from the ‘lesson’ by designing project-based forms of learning. Lessons no longer have to adhere to the ‘one-size-fits-all’ Growing calls for pedagogical innovation reflect the view that twenty-first century learning will become a process of knowledge creation managed through personalized modes of learning and individualized teacher support. In this context, creativity and originality on the part of teachers and learners will be highly valued and must be fostered . Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Innovation in education is solving a real problem in a new, simple way to promote equitable learning, matching the scale of the solution to the scale of the challenge. It makes collaboration easier, students, teachers, and parents can communicate and collaborate more effectively. It helps to build technology- based skills, allowing students to learn, early on, to embrace and take advantage of the tools technology offers. Education is undergoing a major transformation as educators partner with IT professionals to revamp systems, so that school-age students and lifelong learners are better prepared for the digital economy. “Education is a human right,” rightly said by influential former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, “with immense power to transform.” But education is itself undergoing a massive transformation. We need to build up smarter technology that prepares us to engage with the world, revamp education to prepare everyone, throughout their lives, to participate in our digital economy by providing immersive, personalized, and flexible learning environments, giving educators and learners the ability to collaborate seamlessly and securely—no matter wherever they are. Teachers should use different teaching methods and approaches that allow students to be active participants with strong motivation and engagement to their own learning. Modern pedagogical paradigms and trends in education, reinforced by the use of ICT, create prerequisites for use of new approaches and techniques in order to implement active learning. An innovative teaching method is a proactive approach to integrate new teaching strategies and methods into a classroom. Learning management system provides an instructor with a way to create and deliver content, monitor student participation, and assess student performance. Educators should adopt the methodology of blended learning and embodied learning, the aim is that mind and body work together so that physical feedback and actions reinforce the learning process, Engaging with authentic scientific tools and practices such as controlling remote laboratory experiments or telescopes can build science inquiry skills, improve conceptual understanding, and increase motivation. Educators should use an approach to motivate students to learn by using video game design and game elements in learning environments. The goal is to maximize enjoyment and engagement through capturing the interest of learners and inspiring them to continue learning. Computational thinking is another powerful approach to thinking and problem solving. It involves decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, algorithms and debugging. Argumentation is another idea through which students attend to contrasting ideas and can deepen their learning. It makes technical reasoning public, for all to learn and allows students to refine ideas with others, so that they learn how scientists work together to establish or refute claims. Rightly said by Albert Einstein-“You Can’t Solve a Problem on the Same Level That It Was Created. You Have to Rise Above it To The Next Level. Prof. Faisal Fayyaz Project Manager, Punjab University Technology absorbs education in new learners Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Abstract: The impact of technology is amazing while learning new things. The overall objective of technology is to literate humans from all aspects for their survival. Natural circumstances can never be set for humans as a feasible or for specific reasons. It always according to their seasonal cycle or random series. Humans can be educated through education along with different tools and technique but technology impact while learning new things is awesome and it’s directly relate to neuroscience of humans which gives immense newly interactive and designed environment for new learners. This study focus on some of the technology tools of education like video games, virtual reality, etc. This is the futuristic approach “If you can dream it, we can probably build it”. Researchers, Psychologists and Scientists recorded a lot of positive impact and features which enhances education and skills for learners in multi facets. Introduction: Educational technology is the application of physical sciences and engineering technology to provide power-driven tools or “hardware” which can be used for instructional drives. (James O. Finn and others (1960)). e.g. tape-recorders (including language laboratory), television, teaching machines and computer- based teaching. The second vision is application of scientific principles or software approach to instruction (Skinner, Gagne and others). Third view is the modern view of educational technology system approach to education and training (Davis and Hartley (1972)). It is useful in creating the teaching method objective, easy, clear, attention-grabbing and scientific. It’s a nonstop dynamic technology. It’s a crucial medium of communication. A desired amendment is feasible within the behavior of academics and students. Video games aren’t sometimes the primary place folks and academics intercommunicate facilitate children learn, nonetheless a growing body of analysis suggests that they will impart instructional benefits—even the industrial games designed for pure diversion. Interactive and stylish games are integrally very much engaging that you totally focused on it with full concentration. These Games can deliver training in such key areas as problem-solving, systems thinking, computational thinking and creativity. While measuring and evaluating spatial aptitudes, persistence and problem-solving among undergraduate students who spent eight hours playing the general viable video game “Portal 2,” a first-person viewpoint puzzle game. It was found that players showed enhancements in all three of the domains (Computers & Education, Vol. 80, No. 1, 2015). Middle school lecturers won't be able to assign “Portal a pair of,” for schoolwork, however alternative new academic technologies square measure dynamical the approach students learn each in faculties and out. From computer game to personalized intelligent tutoring systems, the probabilities for instructional technology square measure virtually limitless, that creates game- based ways to know and improve the educational processes concerned in reading comprehension and writing. “If you can dream it, we can probably build it,” Building the tools is simply the primary step, however. There’s loads to be told regarding however technical school devices will profit learners and educators, and the way those advantages disagree from discipline to discipline. “What will the teacher really need, what will the scholar want and the way will we tend to support the employment of technology?” To illuminate those details, psychologist’s area unit collaborating with researchers in fields like education, computing and learning sciences. As they do, they’re discovering new ways in which during which technology will create learning additional participating, simpler and additional fun. Impact of video games Many technologies, together with video games, will serve a twin purpose. Whereas games will facilitate players develop bound psychological feature skills, they'll additionally facilitate scientists live and study those skills. “Stealth assessments” into games to gather information regarding the players’ skills as they play—no surveys or multiple- choice tests needed. Concealment assessments are often a good thanks to track hard-to-measure psychological feature skills, like problem-solving, persistence and power, “You’re enjoying the sport and in the meantime the hiding assessment is birth prevention proof and creating calculations beneath the hood.” Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

In one demonstration of the technology, it turned to a preferred industrial game known as “Plants vs. Zombies 2.” within the game, players try and block advancing zombies victimization plants with completely different properties, like the flexibility to freeze zombies, shoot hearth at them or blow them up. Associate in nursing assessment that measured lyceum students’ problem-solving skills as they compete the sport. It absolutely was found the hiding assessment outcomes related to with ancient non-game measures of problem-solving, like Raven’s Progressive Matrices—a check that asks subjects to predict ensuing pattern in an exceedingly series by creating inferences from provided information—and MicroDYN—a system that measures subjects’ ability to amass data from the setting and apply it to a fancy drawback (Computers in Human Behavior, Vol. 63, No. 1, 2016). Fantasy is for viable video games to originate with research-based consumer-information labels, like to nourishment labels on diet boxes that would boom which intellectual services are likely to progress after a certain amount of game play. “Kids would love to play, and the parents would know that the games have cognitive ‘nutritional’ value. Individuals would just demand for such a game. Systematic learning Learning scientists also are planning academic games for additional ancient school-based lessons. For instance, game-based systems are usually employed in intelligent tutoring systems— omputer-based programs that offer immediate, customized feedback and context-specific hints to students as they go through a lesson or a collection of issues. By customizing lessons for individual learners, the systems will immensely extend the reach of one professional. It was explored that design game-based intelligent tutoring programs to help students improve writing skills and reading comprehension. With their “Writing Pal” program, students obtain tailored information and remarks as they play a game that reminders them to repetition basic writing strategies (Computers and Composition, Vol. 34, No. 1, 2014). “Writing Pal” and other intelligent tutoring systems can help fill an important gap. For students to improve their writing, they need dedicated, deliberate practice with feedback. But they just don’t get enough of it. Teachers with five or six classrooms of 30 kids each simply don’t have time to assign essays and provide feedback on a regular basis. Tutoring systems can change that. Modern schemes of intellectual teaching organisms have been everywhere since the 1980s and have been functional to subjects extending from algebra, geometry, medicine and law. In past, different researchers revised intelligent tutoring systems across subjects and student age levels. They found the systems led to improved learning outcomes associated with teacher-led, large group teaching and classic learning (Journal of Educational Psychology, Vol. 106, No. 4, 2014). As the technology and analysis advance, intelligent tutors square measure poised to create a fair larger impact, learning scientists predict. Researcher’s square measure planning following generation of intelligent tutors to integrate feedback and learning methods across disciplines. If a student is troubled to understand a physics lesson, for example, the system would possibly present a game designed to enhance reading comprehension, permitting the scholar to apply reading skills and physics skills in parallel to maximize success. We are starting to work toward the idea of linking together these adaptive systems. Features of Virtual reality Newer technologies will take education in even additional futurist directions. Video game is one space that each students and scientists ar excited concerning as a result of its transportation the planet to students. “With virtual field visits, students will visit alternative places while not having to depart the room,” And increased reality—which blends computer game with real sights and sounds—can facilitate students visualize phenomena, like chemical reactions, that may well be invisible. “If you’re solely given the real world, you don’t get to ascertain the hidden mechanisms and imperceptible parts,” Lindgren is exploring new ways that to show advanced topics by drawing from analysis on the science of embodiment and learning. He’s finding out increased reality systems that modify students to interact with abstract science and mathematics ideas through gestures and bodily movements. Once learning concerning pressure level, for example, students study the movement of gas molecules by lease their hands “be” virtual molecules that impinge on the wall of an instrumentality. In one such project, Lindgren associate degreed his colleagues created an interactive simulation to show Gymnasium students concerning however objects move in area. During this project, children use their bodies to predict however associate degree asteroid can move because it travels through area and encounters forces like the gravitate fields of close planets. Compared with students United Nations agency watched a desktop animation of identical ideas, people who used their bodies to predict the asteroid’s path learned a lot of, were a lot of engaged and reported a lot of positive attitudes toward science. (Computers & Education, Vol. 95, No. 1, 2016). Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

“They’re embedding themselves into the system to grasp however it works,” Lindgren says. “It’s not simply active learning, however hands-in learning”. Immersive technologies may well be a very smart suitable informal learning environments like museums and science centers, which frequently have the flexibleness and freedom to undertake new things, Lindgren says. in a very project referred to as Move two Learn, Lindgren and his colleagues, area unit collaborating with different researchers and depository practitioners on embodied learning and interactive instructional technology comes. In one collaboration with the Frost depository of Science in Miami, Lane worked on associate exhibit that teaches young guests concerning the Everglades. the youngsters “splash” through a virtual watercourse, half the grass to seek out associate alligator nest or move a submerged log to reveal a faculty of minnows. When children gesture and move whereas interacting with the creatures within the exhibit, they’re truly grounding their thinking in those movements, once they have an opportunity to maneuver their bodies in ways in which link to content, they learn higher. Role of E-Teachers Despite the promise of video games, computer game systems and alternative technologies as instructional tools, a major barrier keeps them from widespread implementation: colleges don’t nevertheless agree on however technology ought to match into education. Some colleges say we must always compel mobile phones, et al. get everyone a mobile device. They’re everywhere the place, colleges’ area unit short on time and they’re short on cash. They are doing what they suppose goes to figure, however it’s rarely information driven. And, academics aren’t usually trained in however best to form use of school tools. “We recognize academics use technology in their personal lives, however they usually don’t use it in school rooms. There’s a barrier there as a result of it’s not precisely clear what they must be doing with technology in their lecture rooms.” Some researchers are also disturbed that faculties are embrace technical school tools before they need been completely vetted by scientists. “My concern is that we have a tendency to haven’t asked the fundamental questions: What square measure individuals learning through the utilization of those technologies, and to what extent do these technologies facilitate transfer to real-world use?” my studies children’s attention and problem-solving within the context of digital learning settings. Plus, Blumberg adds, technology changes therefore quickly that new technologies usually hit the market even before their predecessors are adequately evaluated by researchers. “I will appreciate that there square measure marvelous new directions one will escort instructional technology, however we have a tendency to still have to be compelled to consider what square measure we have a tendency to obtaining out of those experiences before we have a tendency to race to succeeding technological innovation,” Conclusion: The fast nature of the technical school market suggests that researchers would possibly continually be taking part in catch-up. Still, psychologists’ analysis skills and understanding of human noises and behavior create them well matched to serving to answer basic questions on instructional technologies. Since such a large amount of instructional games and programs area unit designed for youngsters and adolescents, the world is ripe for a lot of psychologists to urge concerned. Lindgren is optimistic that instructional technologies will facilitate students learn. Except for those tools to measure up to their promise, psychologists and alternative analysis scientists ought to get entangled at earlier stages of development. Too often, educators work backward, working out what they'll do with no matter technical school tools area unit promptly on the market rather than planning or choosing a tool as a result of it solves a selected downside. We ought to shift the model to urge psychologists and researchers and educators concerned within the style of those tools. Learning scientists and psychologists have usually felt unseen of this issue of the planning of instructional technology, and it’s improbably vital that they be a vicinity of calculation this out. “A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE “ ‘ A stitch in time saves nine ‘ is a well known proverb . It is frequently used in conversation and passes on from one hand to another like a current coin . It means that evil should be nipped in the bud , and thus much future trouble would be avoided. A cloth which is torn must be stitched at once for otherwise the torn portion would increase in size and many more stitches would be required. Similarly, in every walk of life things must be set right in the very beginning in order to avoid much future trouble and expenditure. Sometimes, if the evil is not put down in the very beginning it may become unmanageable and may not be remedied at all. . The truth of this proverb will become clear, if we consider a few examples from day to day life . It is early in life that many a bad habit is acquired and if the evil is not checked then and there. , it grows and gives rise to many other evil habits. If a growing child tells lies , he or she should be at once taken to task so that the habit does not take roots , and he learns to tell the truth. Many a social evil flourishes in Indian Society today and it has become impossible to put it down. This is so because the wise proverb in question was forgotten and evil was not ripped in the very beginning. Corruption, black- marketing, hoarding, smuggling etc. are rampant today, for this very reason. The wisdom of the proverb is well illustrated by the facts of Indian Society and so we may say that the proverb. “ A stitch in Time saves Nine , “ has much truth and wisdom in it. A beautiful quote by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam “ Confidence and hard work is the best medicine to kill the disease called failure. It will make you a successful person. “. Small and mid-size businesses (SMEs) are companies with revenues, assets, or personnel that fall below a particular threshold. A small and medium-sized firm (SME) is defined differently in each country (SME). Certain size requirements must be met, and the industry in which the company operates may also be considered. They play a vital role in the economy, despite their small size. They outnumber major corporations by a substantial margin, employ a huge workforce, and are generally entrepreneurial in nature, contributing to the shaping of innovation. The businesses operate in a variety of marketplaces and have varying levels of expertise, capital, sophistication, and growth orientation where they can operate in the formal or informal sector. The statistical definition of a small business varies by country and is typically based on the number of employees, sales volume, and/or asset worth. The number of employees is the most widely utilized variable due to its simplicity of collecting. This paper includes the variety of challenges and potential of SMEs in Nepal with suggestions for developing an enabling environment in the country for facilitating and improving the capacity of SMEs to face the challenges of globalization. However, SMEs have their significant effect on the income distribution, tax revenue, and employment, efficient utilization of resources and stability of family income. The contribution of SMEs to employment, growth and sustainable development is now widely acknowledged (UNCTAD, 2001). Their contributing to job creation and output growth is now widely accepted in both developed and developing countries. It can also help to achieve a more equitable distribution of the benefits of economic growth and thereby help alleviate some of the problems associated with uneven income distribution. In many developing and least developed countries (LDCs) there are number of small and medium enterprises which have played crucial role for the economic development of the country. SMEs face various challenges; however, they remain important source of growth and development. Opportunities and Potential for SME in Nepal SMEs have historically played a significant role in the creation of jobs in many countries around the world. Naturally, every business begins as a small business, or even as a small business started by a single person. To promote national level industries and achieve employment, it is critical to give high priority to Nepalese labor, skill, and raw material based domestic investments. Cottage industries account for nearly 98.17 percent of total industries in Nepal, with a small investment of 21.44 percent and mass employment of 81.75 percent in comparison to other industries. Entrepreneurship and skill development can also help overcome the challenges of youth noninvolvement. Due to a perceived lack of opportunities, readily available information and sociopolitical barriers youth are uninvolved in their community activities Improving the productivity of SMEs is thus a worthwhile endeavor. For two reasons, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can aid a country's growth. For starters, incorporating existing processes and technology is faster and safer than experimenting with new ones, and SMEs face a significant adoption gap. Small businesses can grow faster than large corporations by adopting larger corporations' proven technology and processes, just as emerging markets can grow faster than high-income markets by adopting proven technologies. Second, start-ups, which are an important subset of SMEs, have emerged as important sources of innovation. Because they are not hampered by legacy systems or outdated techniques, new market entrants are usually able to rethink current processes and break through traditional industry boundaries. SME opportunities abound in countries like Nepal. Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

In countries like Nepal, their contribution to job creation and production growth has become widely recognized. It can also help to make the benefits of economic growth more evenly distributed, alleviating some of the problems associated with income inequality. They need different kinds of skills including interpersonal skills, career exploration and preparation, finance and budgeting, business plan development, computer and multimedia skills, leadership skills, job shadowing and internship opportunities to deal with such situation. These skills are part of the entrepreneurial skillset. There is a need to align youth economic empowerment to government policies, strategies and programs towards this end. Financial support, training and facilities need to be provided in order to ensure young people’s active participation in decision-making, and development activities and programs. This favorable environment needs to be created and retained to increase investment in relevant training matching with job market and self-employment. Promotion of entrepreneurship among young women and men for the provision of better information on market opportunities, training in business skills, access to capital (credit and other financial services), mentoring by qualified persons, and other business support services Key Challenges that SMEs Face One of the key challenges that SMEs face include expansion through the establishment of new and creative firms, as well as the transition of as many informal businesses into the formal sector as possible. This is difficult because new ideas and creation are difficult to come by, and in a country like Nepal, where approximately 840,000 families engage in small-scale income-generating enterprises, the majority of which operate in the unregistered and informal sector, a logical transition of all such enterprises is nearly impossible. Due to foreign goods vying for market attention, SMEs have become more competitive and requires to be more productive. Due to the advent of globalization, at least a fraction of these nationally competitive SMEs must reach a degree of competitiveness that allows them to participate in global value chains through commerce which is a big challenge for any developing nation. Another challenge for the SMEs is the financial front; SMEs are frequently unable to obtain sufficient finance to complete a comparatively bigger volume of work. One factor for their incapacity to raise financial resources is a lack of information on the part of entrepreneurs about financial institutions that may provide them credit. The financial institutions' habit of providing credit on the basis of relationship rather than project feasibility is another cause for their difficulty to raise financing. Even if SMEs are able to obtain finance, the short repayment period and high interest rates do not help their cause. Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream

Analysis and potential aspect of SMEs in Nepal : The potential of these SMEs in Nepal is enormous, and if they are nurtured, they can propel the Nepalese economy to new heights. Although small businesses have some inherent prejudices that make them hesitant to seek formal financial aid due to the numerous red tapes that persist in the unnecessarily bureaucratic approach, if these issues are resolved, numerous small businesses will be able to promote their upgraded products in order to compete with overseas markets. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can help a country's growth for two reasons. First, incorporating established processes and technology is faster and safer than experimenting with new ones, and SMEs have a significant adoption gap to fill. SMEs may expand faster than large organizations by embracing the established technology and processes of larger enterprises, just as emerging markets can grow faster than high-income markets by adopting proved technologies. Second, start-ups, a vital sub segment of SMEs, have emerged as significant sources of innovation. New market entrants are typically able to rethink current processes and break through traditional industry boundaries since they are not hampered by legacy systems and outdated techniques Challenges and weaknesses for SME in Nepal : Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are not new to Nepalese society. Most existing industries have been severely harmed as a result of the rapid liberalization process, as they are unable to compete with consumer goods that are now freely imported following the removal of quantitative restrictions and the drastic reduction of import tariffs. SMEs face a number of difficulties. Every local product should compete with the global product in the age of globalization. The first challenge for SMEs is cost, and quality is a close second. Our SMEs face challenges such as a lack of technical know-how, marketing strategies, and funding, Lack of networks, which can contribute to a lack of information, know-how, and experience of domestic and international markets;. The majority of micro enterprises are still operating in the informal sector, according to research. . In Nepal, there is insufficient legislation to safeguard intellectual property rights. As a result of the lack of strong regulations governing copyright, trademarks, and patents, inventors and new enterprises are hesitant to release their creations and innovations. Lack of access to business information, credit, trainings, technical support and organization linking skills with prospects were seen as major hindrances to entrepreneurship development. Respondents felt access to information should be linked to business prospects and help migrant returnees use their earnings productively. Access to credit would serve as an additional source of funding to start a business, help implement business ideas, and provide space to take risks. Trainings have to cater to two divergent interests among migrant returnees – teaching new skills, and helping returnees apply the skills they learnt overseas. Technical support needs to be focused on making available state-of-the-art technology, either at a group or individual level. The role of the organization should be to provide employment opportunities and salaries commensurate with skills; focus on serving returnees; link demand with supply; and promote collective action among returnees. The government trains youth in a variety of vocational and entrepreneurship skills but the number of individuals benefitting from such trainings is very small and offerings do not always reflect need, and often fail to add value to workers competing in the ever-changing national and international markets. Existing international initiatives focus on promoting youth employment and not on nurturing youth entrepreneurship. The vast majority of Nepali organizations working with youth have a disproportionately high focus on human rights and democracy. Education India | November, 2022 The Power of Edu Leaders Dream
