Health On TheHOOPS FOR HEALTH Rise IN ASSOCIATION WITH American Diabetes Association, The Lions Club International, NAACP, and Funsport Inc. Presents “Hoops For Health” A Health Awareness Basketball FestivalHealth On The Rise is pleased to present the inauguration of the 2 day annual “Hoops For Health” healthawareness basketball festival. The festival will consist of:  Competitive basketball games for kids (ages 6 to 17), and for adults (ages 18 and up)  Borough against borough basketball competition (Brooklyn vs Queens, Bronx vs Manhattan).  A health & wellness village that has sponsors and vendors with information promoting awareness of conditions such as diabetes, juvenile diabetes, breast cancer, heart disease (and many more) as well as on location health screenings.  Fun and exciting exercises and aerobic workouts for both kids and adults.  Celebrity guest speakers and appearances.  Additional games and activities for the kids  Back to school and assorted give-aways. Hoops for health 3Mission:The other mission and purpose of this WHEN AND WHERE!2 day festival is to raise funds that willbe donated to several health awarenessorganizations such as AmericanDiabetes Association, JDRF (JuvenileDiabetes Research Foundation),American Cancer Society, andAmerican Heart Association insupport of the continued researchefforts and the fight against thesediseases to ultimately stop them byfinding a cure.THE SUCCESS! The health awareness festival will take place Saturday August 8th, and Sunday August 9th, 2015.
