He is a very sincere teacher and I am extremely proud of him as a future asset not only to the College but to society and to the nation at large.” From a family of educators, Dr. Kumar knew from the start what he wanted to be. He worked hard earning two Master in Philosophy under Prof. Jasbir Jain and Prof. Sisir Kumar Das, respectively. Working at Delhi University as a professor has been a childhood dream for Dr. Kumar, who was well on his in making it come true by being accepted as a tem- porary teacher. After 8 years of working on ADHOC Basic, he held the position of a permanent teacher. That is not to say he didn’t try elsewhere; he applied and was accepted into three different universities as well but they didn’t hold the allure that DU did. That is not to say his journey had easy and smooth. But hardwork and dedication overcame all the obstacles standing in his way. Moreover, she has won many presti- gious titles and held many prestigious world records, like the Asia Book of Records for holding Kurmasana for 46 min, the Limca Book of Records for the longest time to hold in Kurmasana for 46 min, the India Book of Records for the longest time to hold in tor- toise pose, and World Record Achiever in the Golden Book of World Records for the Longest Per- formance of Paschimottanasan, that is for 1 hr 30 min and many more. Also, she has been shortlisted for the Guinness Book of World Records, for which the decision is awaited. Being in a nuclear family, it was always a challenge for Mrs. Nema to maintain a bal- ance between her children, family and her dreams. She never lose hope and kept her dreams alive by continuously striving to achieve them. Her family has always been there for her in all aspects of her life, and they are the primary reason for her success and recognition. Even her teacher, Dr Akhilesh Kumar Singh, al- ways motivated her and guided her as he believed in her and that she would excel in her life. Even on the path to success, people start creating problems in your life to make it worse. Society or negative people around us are always ready to make our lives worse. It was the same for her also, even after all the negativity and difficulties, she believed that every situation in our life teaches us something new and something important. These situations not only make us strong but also train us to tackle all the problems of society. She was born the eldest daughter of her family, and she was born with responsibilities due to which she became mature at a very young age. She was often mocked by students and people around her due to her weight and quiet na- ture. These incidents motivated her to work on herself. Her journey started with diet control. Later, she adapted to yoga, and then there was no turning back. There was one such important and life- changing incident in her life. While she was struggling hard to attain the path of success, she met with an accident due to which she suffered from a spine injury and was advised to complete bed rest for 4 months, which broke her to the core. Since 2004, she has been providing free yoga classes and sessions by conducting yoga camps and centres. Moreover, she wants to build a place where she can pro- vide free service to people and also an old- age home and an orphanage centre. During COVID, to keep everyone healthy, she started free online ses- sions and also provided free online class services for UGC net students and helped them with stress management and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In 2016-17 she organised a free camp where she taught ‘Pranayam, Mudra, Bandh’ and 'Yogasan, Dhyan’. From 2005-06, she was the primary as- sistant to Yogacharya Shri Avneesh Tiwari Ji in the training of 'Yoga' at various yoga camps or- ganised by the Dainik Bhaskar Group Jabalpur. Mrs. Nema has been honoured with various awards.
