Introduction The public health emergency brought about by COVID-19 demands the Depart- ment of Education to be innovative and resourceful in delivering quality education, accessible, relevant and liberating education ( DO.12 s.2020), that is, DepEd ad- vised to adopt the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) in accordance to the DepEd Secretary’s pronouncement to put into motion the marching order, “ensure that learning continues while guaranteeing the health, safety, and wellbe- ing of all learners, teachers, and other employees”. Adopting alternative modes of learning if it is to reach all learners regardless of who and where they are, where school-based, face-to-face learning is not possible. Each school are required to create it’s own Schools Learning Continui- ty Plan ( LCP) as a result of LESF Survey. This will serve as a chosen modality among learners and should therefore ensure to implement a flexible learning process in the locality. And should therefore, school’s must aligned and prepared resources such as SLM’s, manuals, activity sheets and worksheets, video and radio scripts/ lessons as a form of alternative delivery of lessons to achieve quality education. These new approaches on the educational system were indicated in an action plan made by the School Planning Team. It outlines a clear path to attain DepEd goals. It also guides in making day-to-day decision in evaluating progress and changing approaches when moving forward. Teachers and school administra- tors work hand in hand in the three – fold function of the department amidst this pandemic. Hinguiwin National High School is committed to make sure that effective learning happens even during this crisis situation. In line with SDO Quezon’s flagship Proj- ect 2N – AIP, our School’s Learning Continuity Plan aligned on the 8 M’s on teach- ing-learning process. IMPLEMENTATION Safety First in Project D’HAWA Pursuant to DepED Order No. 14, series of 2020, the guidelines on the required health standards in basic educa- tion, schools are committed to ensure safe educational continuity amidst the challenges of COVID-19. The health and safe- ty of our learners along with teaching and non-teaching personnel are of utmost importance and must be protected at all times. In line with this, Hinguiwin National High School prepares its own program to ensure the protection of the health, safety and well-being of learners, teachers and personnel; and to prevent the further transmission of COVID-19. This program aims to effectively adopt the guidelines on the required health standard and implement the specific intervention for COVID-19 mitigation, provide protective equipment and supplies to the school personnel, students, par- ents and other stakeholder, disseminate information about COVID-19 and its risk and to ensure COVID-Free Environment and safe educational continuity amidst the challenges of COVID-19.
