Must have three years of experiencein the supervision and care of young adults (ages 12-21) in a residential, correctional, group home,detention or day treatment program. OR Three years of experience working in a community officesetting providing transportation services to court committed young adults (ages 12-21). College willsubstitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. OR Successful completion of theDepartment of Juvenile Justice Training Academy or equivalent training program approved by theCommissioner of the Department of Juvenile Justice will substitute for two years of the requiredexperience. Participates in juveniles’ individual treatment plan development; ensures securityroom checks are performed during shifts. Maintains shift logs regarding juveniles’ behaviors andevents; completes incident reports and assists juveniles in complaint procedures. Provides routinebuilding maintenance, housekeeping, etc. and notifies supervisors of corrections needed. Attends staffmeetings, case conferences and trainings as assigned and directed. Conducts risk andneeds assessments for the purpose of treatment planning and aftercare planning. Enters case contactsand information in the youth’s electronic file. Completes court reports, treatment plans aftercare plans,case/phase reviews and other reports as part of case management services. Participates in caseconferences and maintains contact with youth in placement. Provides liaison services with communityagents and agencies regarding ongoing treatment efforts for juveniles. Makes referrals for services.Attends trainings and meetings as directed. Required to be on call 24/7 and respond to emergencysituations. Performs other duties as required.
