01 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Malaysia cordially invites the International Cartilage Repair Society to host the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) World Congress 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Malaysia’s strategic location makes it a natural meeting point for Asia-Paci c countries. Malaysia is also conveniently accessible from further a eld such as from the Middle-East, Australasia and Europe. With direct ights from over 113 cities with full-service and low-cost carriers, getting to Kuala Lumpur is both easy and affordable. Malaysia is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading value-for-money conference destinations. This is a key advantage when aiming for greater participation from less-developed nations. VISA Most nationalities do not require visas for social or business visits to Malaysia. 09 FINANCIAL SUPPORT The Malaysian government’s Economic Transformation Programme recognises the business events industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) as a key economic growth sector. As such, it is a major supporter in the attraction and hosting of major international conferences and events in the country. Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) as part of its subvention support programme will provide nancial and non- nancial assistance towards the International Cartilage Repair Society World Congress (ICRS) 2018. The subvention support is exible in its usage and is designed to support areas towards the successful outcomes of the conference. The subvention support value for each conference is based on the estimated attendance number and duration of the event. To show our endorsement towards your event, we are pleased to offer *RM 250,000.00 / EURO 63,000.00. Appended below is the proposed breakdown of the support value: This support is exible to accommodate the requirements of the ICRS 2018 and can be discussed in detail if Malaysia is selected as the host venue. An Agreement will then be provided outlining the list of support and the mutual obligations and support expected for the conference. *This amount is based on 1000 number of delegates over 3 days.
