Table of contents Introduction Chapter 1 What is green energy? Chapter 2 Resources and types of green energy. Chapter 3 The importance of green energy. Information about the writer

Can you imagine life without energy? Whole systems will stop working and life will be more challenging. Green energy is one way to have energy security because it is efficient and sufficient. So, What are the different resources and types of green energy. How do they work? What are the advantages and disadvantages of these types?

Green energy is the energy that is collected from natural resources such as the sun, water and wind. Green energy is better for the environment and it does not take thousands of years to produce. People use green energy to reduce the carbon ioxide in the air and stop global warming.

We can produce green energy from natural resources like the sun and the wind. So, there are different types of green energy like the solar energy and the wind energy.

Solar energy is collected from the sun. It works by using photovoltaic cells that convert heat from the sun directly into electricity. It is non polluting, the most abundant and the cells last between 15 – 30 years. On the other hand, It is expensive, depends on sunny weather and large space is needed.

Wind energy is collected from wind turbines. Wind turns turbines to run the generator that converts energy into electricity, which is stored in batteries. There is no emissions, low costs after built, little disruption to the ecosystem and high output.

Green energy is important for the environment. It replaces the negative effects of fuel with more environmentally- friendly alternatives. It plays a key role in fighting global warming. It emits few greenhouse gases and often available.
