PROPOSED IN LA & RR COLONIES u All new villages established for resettlement of the displaced persons shall be provided with suitable transport facility which must include public transport facilities through local bus services with the nearby growth centres/urban localities u Burial or cremation ground, depending on the caste-communities at the site and their practices u Facilities for sanitation, including individual toilet points u Individual single electric connections (or connection through non-conventional sources of energy like solar energy), for each household and for public lighting u Anganwadi’s providing child and mother supplemental nutritional services u School as per the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009) u Sub-health centre within two kilometres range u Primary health centre as prescribed by the Govt. of India u Playground for children u One community centre for every hundred families 45
INFRASTRUCTURE AMENITIES PROVIDED / u Places of worship and chowpal / free platform for every fifty families for community assembly, of numbers and dimensions consonant with the affected area u Separate land must be earmarked for traditional tribal institutions u The forest dweller families must be provided, where possible, with their forest rights on non-tinber forest produce and common property resources, if available close to the new place of settlement and, in case any such family can continue their access or entry to such forest or common property in the area close to the place of eviction, they must continue to enjoy their earlier rights to the aforesaid sources of livelihood. u Appropriate security arrangements must be provided for the settlement, if needed u Veterinary service centre as per norms 46

Status of LA and R&R Land Acquisition u Land required for the overall project up to FRL +45.72 m is 1,67,339.13 ac., out of which 1,06,550.69 ac. is coming under submergence including headworks in which 32,888.52 ac. in West Godavari district and 73,662.17 ac. in East Godavari district. u Out of 1,06,550.69 ac., the land under submergence, 76,299.63 ac. required up to EL +41.15 m, in both districts, the entire land has been acquired leaving a balance of 491.71 ac. in Devipatnam Mandal. u The balance land with regards to submergence in between EL +41.15 m to EL +45.72 m under Plan ‘C’ and land for canal distribution system (presently survey & investigation works are in Progress) needs to be acquired. 48
Rehabilitation & Resettlement u Total 1,06,006 PDFs, have been planned to resettle in 213 R&R colonies (51 in WG & 162 in EG). u Out of the above total PDFs, 20,946 PDFs coming under EL +41.15 m are planned to shift to 77 R&R colonies (26 completed colonies and 51 ongoing colonies) and balance 85,060 PDFs coming between EL +41.15 m & EL +45.72 m have been planned in 136 R&R colonies. u Out of 20,946 [3,780 in completed colonies + 3,228 One Time Settlement (OTS) + 13,938 in ongoing colonies] PDFs, 6,351 PDFs have been shifted (3,780 PDFs to 26 completed colonies & 2,571 PDFs in ongoing R&R colonies) and 3,228 PDFs have opted for OTS/Self Construction. u The status of 13,938 sanctioned houses is: v 7,667 (55%) houses with toilets have been completed, v 703 (5%) houses completed & toilets in progress, v 2,434 (17.5%) houses in advance stage (i.e. slab and above), v 1,993 (14.3%) houses are at initial stage (i.e. below slab level) & v 1,141 (8.2%) houses are not started u In addition, 3,989 PDFs have voluntarily shifted into 7,667 completed houses to whom R&R entitlements are yet to be paid. 49
