NOVEMBER 2020 Eight months into community quarantine, people were practically left staying at the confines of their homes uncertain of how long the pandemic situation would last. To ease the uncertainty that gives anxiety to many, the PTT Family has come up with a simple yet fun activity online that certainly boosted the morale of each member of the family. The first “Friday Night Hangout” last October 9 was a blast to some 37 participants who joined the online social gathering with no less than PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Khun Thitiroj Regrsumran in attendance. Behind the screen of their personal computers and laptops, the PTT Family was able to hold a night of fun and games even via online. It was a successful night that most of the participants joined in the games and some even shared their talents in singing, prompting Mr. Regrsumran to pull out his guitar and jam as well by rendering an Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. The night ended with everyone looking forward to the next “hangout”. Last October 30, the office tradition of bringing the kids of PTT employees for the annual “Trick or Treat” was also made possible with the virtual holding of the activity. The wonder of technology gathered some 22 children of PTT employees for an afternoon of fun and games as the kids appeared on-screen garbed in their respective costumes from Elsa (“Frozen”) to Marshall (“Paw Patrol”), to Popeye the Sailor Man, and to Black Cat Princess, among other interesting characters. All the kids who participated in the “Spooktacular Friday” activity got their anticipated loot bags (special gifts) that were delivered to them through their parents.
