ISSN: 2449-4674 VOL. 5 NO. 10 Snapshots of PTT Philippines’ People & Events Business Continuity Plan Activated on ECQ PTT Philippines has activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) following the government-imposed enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to control the spread of the new corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The work-from-home arrangement was immediately implemented amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country. Skeletal workforce, however, remain in their posts acting as frontliners. They were provided with personal protective equipment and other support as part of safety measures while in duty. Foundation donates PPE, alcohol to hospitals; PTT employees receive, too PTT Philippines Foundation, in partnership with PTT Philippines Corporation and PTT Philippines Trading Corporation, has launched a Surgical Mask and Alcohol Donation Activity for frontliners of hospital in Central Luzon and Metro Manila. Among the beneficiary medical institutions include the James Gordon Hospital, Bataan General Hospital, and the Jose Lingad Hospital, all located in Central Luzon that each received 800 surgical masks and five gallons of 70% alcohol. In Metro Manila, the Philippine General Hospital received 1,000 surgical masks and five gallons of alcohol. Meanwhile, PTT Philippines employees also received the same items to ensure their safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Employees were issued the necessary PPE as they continue to work on site and from home to keep the business going.
Guidelines Issued to Retail Stations To ensure the safety of frontliners, particularly the retail station personnel, PTT Philippines has issued several guidelines in dispensing their work. The guidelines were specifically directed to forecourt attendants, cashiers and maintenance personnel to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus. They were reminded of the proper use of personal protective equipment, cleanliness of the station, and observance of social distancing, among others. Café Amazon Reaches Out to Frontliners Several stores of Café Amazon have reached out to the so-called frontliners, mostly are medical and checkpoint personnel who oted to remain in their duties despite the risk posed by COVID-19. These personnel were given with free Café Amazon drinks in support of their noble commitment to serve during this time of crisis. Café Amazon Pulilan went out of its way to provide drinks to the staff of Our Lady of Mercy Hospital and to barangay officers manning checkpoints in the municipality. Café Amazon Cavite City, on the other hand, visited the Cavite Medical Center to do the same as Café Amazon Dasmariñas and Primark went to Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas.
“Tie A Red Ribbon” Campaign PTT Philippines has launched an online campaign among its employees using their personal Facebook accounts to support the “Tie A Red Ribbon” drive initiated by medical professionals and other influencers to recognize the noble services provided by medical professionals and other frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In expression of its gratitude to present-day heroes, majority of PTT Philippines employees took part in the digital campaign by using the custom-made Facebook profile picture as a symbol of support to frontliners and medical professionals. PTT, CebuPac Friendship Game Before the government implemented the enhanced community quarantine, PTT Philippines and its long-time airline partner Cebu Pacific, were able to hold a Basketball Friendship Match in Olongapo City as part of strengthening their partnership and promoting health and wellness among its staff. The friendly match was attended by PTT Philippines President & CEO Khun Thitiroj Rergsumran and Cebu Air’s Vice President for Fuel Operations Joseph Maccaga who took the center court for the ceremonial toss prior to the game.
