BRAND LEGACY XGO® (a division of Longworth Industries™) is a tactical high-performance base layer & apparel manufacturer located in central North Carolina (just a few miles west of Fort Bragg) that has over 30 years’ experience manufacturing quality performance apparel and accessories. The XGO® brand was launched in 2004 when Longworth was awarded a US Army contract for moisture wicking polyester t-shirts. XGO ® continues to proudly serve our nation and our ally countries’ finest: Military, Government Services, Law Enforcement and First Responders, with the most mission-ready gear on the market. We make gear capable of withstanding any environment or mission that our brave men and women may endure. XGO ® – Ready to Go XGO is committed to producing the highest quality products and giving our customers best in class delivery and service. The culture of XGO® is one proudly built on innovation and patriotism. We’re committed to creating new fabric technologies. We are creating clothing that is not only state of the art but can consistently perform at its best in all conditions. XGO® was one of the first brands to introduce an engineered system of next to skin layers designed to be worn as standalone pieces or as part of a layering system.
OUR VERTICAL MANUFACTURING STORY XGO® is a vertical manufacturing company, meaning that every part of the process- from fiber to yarn to fabric to finished product- is owned and controlled by XGO. Being vertical means we have the capability to operate without constraints or significant dependencies on other suppliers… and means we are set up to respond to the needs of our customers. Because we manufacture our materials, we control our supply chain. We pre-position the raw materials required to be ready to make quick turns based on demand- whether that is in supplying materials for our own XGO-branded assortment or supplying fabrics for government contracts or other customers. XGO has earned a trusted reputation for staying ahead of demand by strategically positioning inventory. We know it is critical to mission success to have the gear you need when you need it. Great gear isn’t great if it’s not ready to go. We are always in stock in your favorite products- so those products and you can be- Ready to Go Our supply chain footprint is small. For knit products, everything beyond the fiber is sourced within a 3-hour radius; other products are sourced in close proximity. This strategy allows us to react quickly as needs arise – to respond in hours not months. Keeping our supply chain and manufacturing footprint small also reduces our carbon footprint- lowering our environmental impact with reduced shipping materials or overseas freight. It is all managed and executed right here in the US. We are proud of our supply chain for a number of reasons, primari- ly it allows us to maintain \"hands-on\" quality control while mini- mizing our carbon footprint. This commitment ensures we contin- ue to deliver the best possible products and value to our most important asset: our customers. Our commitment is to you. 4
TECHNOLOGY THAT MAKES XGO PERFORM XGO® FLAME RESISTANT garments are designed to military specifications and ASTM standards for FR protection. All XGO® FR base layers feature Acclimate® Dry moisture management and AG47® Silver anti-odor and anti-micoribial protection. Any product with this icon is Flame Resistant XGO® Acclimate® Dry fabrics wick moisture vertically at a rate of 3” in 3 minutes, providing exceptional dry times. P Any product with this icon is Performance Ag47® Silver is legendary for its anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. As SILVER moisture is moved through the fabric, our propietary Ag47® (a silver anti-microbial) ®PROTECTION attacks the bacteria contained in the perspiration and effectively eliminates odor and harmful bacteria —improving overall hygiene. DV A N CE D Advanced Cooling is moisture activated. When you sweat, Advanced Cooling OOLINC provides up to 5 degrees of cooling comfort. A G CONSTRUCTION THAT MAKES XGO PREFERRED XGO Tops have dropped shoulders in order to move the shoulder seam away from the top of the shoulder, eliminating potential pack/plate carrier friction. XGO tops have underarm gussets to give mobility while removing the seam in the armpit eliminating risk of chafing or friction under the arms. All XGO products use Clean Seam ® technology- flat seaming with a clean finish to the outside and inside of the product- to eliminate seam irritation and give an optimal appearance. XGO products are fit for movement. Tops have enough body length to stay tucked in, bottoms are fit with appropriate rise depth and height to ensure coverage and comfort in any activity. Every product is wear tested for refinement and approval. 5
PHASE APPROACH AND LAYERING GUIDE START WITH INNOVATION At XGO®, we develop systems to help you focus on the mission not your gear. We were one of the first brands to introduce an engineered next-to-skin layering system. Designed to be worn standalone or as part of a layered system, XGO® considered the spectrum of conditions that could impact comfort. We take all of this to mind when we develop our garments. Designed with the most advanced fabrics, patterning, and construction our garments stand up to the hardest conditions. Integrated into our materials we use our own proprietary moisture wicking technology called Acclimate Dry® to get moisture away from your skin. In addition, we use our AG47® antimicrobial/ antifungal technology to kill odor causing bacteria in perspiration improving overall hygiene. These technologies are inherent to the material, meaning they are part of the fabric and will not wash out over the life of the garment. DIFFERENCE IN THE DETAILS We design our products with the end user and end use in mind. We listen to ground level feedback to help design better garments. We use smart design to maximize comfort and performance. Starting with a mechani- cal 4 way stretch in our material that never restricts your motion we then use clean seam® stitching technology to minimize friction areas. We do this by dropping shoulder seams forward so your pack, or plate frame never causing friction with the body. Additionally, on our shirts we pattern in gussets under your arms for freedom of movement. Finally, we add to the length to the hem, so your shirt stays tucked in, and length and depth to the rise for optimal movment. This combination of design features creates an incredibly comfortable wearing product. BASE LAYER SYSTEMS APPROACH Designed to be worn as a standalone piece or as a system, we take into consideration numerous factors when selecting a one-piece solution or a multipiece system. A good layering system strategy needs to consider several variables: Weather cold/dry, cold/wet, hot/dry, hot/wet Season be prepared for the worst a season can throw at you Duration be prepared for extended periods Environment/terrain altitude and latitude Activity level dynamic or static Individual metabolic conditioning we all run a little differently
Take these factors into account and use this Phase Chart to help you determine the types of layers that best meet your needs. The following information is here to help you make the most informed choices when choosing a system solution. We all have different metabolic conditions, so there is no one solution for everyone. Your teammate standing next to you may need a different solution than you. Best practice is to know how your body works and adapt as the situation requires it...you are the best source of information for your body. 1PHASE <100º <38º FR1 FLAME RESISTANT LIGHTWEIGHT TO TO Patented 78% Modacrylic and 22% FR Rayon 4.8 oz/sq yd 40º 4º P PH1 LIGHTWEIGHT TECHNICAL MESH 100% Acclimate® Dry Polyester 4.0 oz/sq yd FC 2 50º 10º FR2 FLAME RESISTANT MIDWEIGHT TO TO Patented 78% Modacrylic and 22% FR Rayon 5.5 oz/sq yd 20º -7º P PH2 MIDWEIGHT WAFFLE 100% Acclimate® Dry Polyester 5.0 oz/sq yd FC 3 40º 4º FR3 FLAME RESISTANT STRETCH TO TO Patented 75% Modacrylic 21% FR Rayon 4% Spandex 6 oz/sq yd 10º -12º P PH3 SUPER MIDWEIGHT STRETCH 90% Acclimate® Dry Polyester 10% Spandex 7.5 oz/sq yd FC 4 <40º <4º FR4 FLAME RESISTANT HEAVYWEIGHT FC Patented 78% Modacrylic and 22% FR Rayon 8.5 oz/sq yd P PH4 HEAVYWEIGHT TECH FACE FLEECE 87% Acclimate® Dry Polyester 13% Spandex 8.0 oz/sq yd BUILT TO LAST Your base layer is the heart of your layering system. As your next-to-skin layer...comfort, function and fit are crucial. Keep in mind that this layer is always on, hot or cold. One of the biggest factors that needs to be considered when looking at new base layer is fabric type. At XGO®, we offer two main types, performance and flame resistant. Our performance layers consist of polyester or a polyester/ spandex blend knits. Our FR (flame resistant) layers are constructed of our patented no melt, no drip modacrylic/FR rayon blend knit. Our FR property is inherent to the fibers and yarn, not a \"treatment,\" meaning it will never wash or wear out—protection for the life of the fabric. All our fabrics are measured by oz/sq. yd (ounces per square yard). This is a measurement of base fabric weight, the higher the number the heavier the fabric. In each type, performance and flame resistant, we have different constructions for different phases. Provided above are both performance and flame resistant phase charts. All of our fabrics/garments, performance and flame resistant, have our proprietary high-performance Acclimate Dry moisture management (wicking & drying) and Ag47® anti-microbial/anti-odor. So, when choosing a next-to-skin layer, make sure to research the fabric before purchasing. 7
